Typical low-quality Walmart standards, this location has recently been "updated" by removing the majority of cash registers and replacing them with self-check outs. Chris on the front end is usually nice when I interact with him. Customer service counter interaction has been mixed... They are usually friendly, but I have been turned away before when attempting to return an item from the regular Walmart. I was told when purchasing item could be returned at this Neighborhood Market but I suppose there's nothing the lady could do... but a more appealing attitude would have been nice.

Last night June 10th I went into this walmart like I normally would I love this walmart it's very convenient, small and clean I know where everything is located. Well on this particular night as I was shopping through the store. Getting all my items and when I proceed to go and check out. I went to the self checkout close to the front door and I started to scan my groceries. The machine was very sensitive. And it kept going off alerting associate so this guy by the name of Vaden one of Walmart employees had to come over there several times to put his code in so I can proceed and continue to scan my groceries. So at the end when I was scanning. My last item which was little bites. It rang up on the screen. I put them in the bag and the associate alert came on again He seemed like he was very irritated or frustrated about having to keep coming over and put his code in looking all through my bags which I think was very disrespectful of him.
So like I said, when I scan my last item. He wanted to see my item. And I refuse to let him look through my bag and clearly it was on the screen and he saw it . And I even showed him in my bag that it was scanned with the same item on the screen. This guy wants to put up an argument with me, escalating the situation, which was disrespectful as an employee to argue with the customer. When he saw that it was clearly scanned. I was being racial profile by this guy. He's in a wheelchair. I'm a nurse. I take care of people like him. I do not need to steal $3.48 worth of little bites. This was a disgrace of how he was acting in front of people in the store. It was uncalled for and unnecessary. Someone needs to really have a talk with him about how he treats Walmart Customers assuming they were stealing something when they clearly wasn't.
Then he lied to me when I asked for the manager. He said she was not there, her name is Casandra. And I spoke with her and she apologized about the whole situation, but that does not solve the problem of how this guy Vaden acted in the store This was very embarrassing and a disgrace.
Walmart, you need to train your employees to have better customer service skills.

Nearly every time I go to this location, there are people smoking right by the main entrance. Staff, not customers. Today there were 3 men just to the left of the door with cigarettes in hand. They are not at the designated smoking area and, as someone who is very sensitive to cigarettes, it's deeply unpleasant to have to walk through their fumes or go through the side entry (which is very close to the actual smoking area and thus doesn't help me) to get into the store. As far as the experience in store... It's a Walmart. It's no better or worse than any other Walmart out there. I'll continue to shop here because it's convenient, but hopefully management will discuss with staff appropriate smoking locations

This is the ABSOLUTE best pharmacy in Williamsburg. They have the kindest and most knowledgeable staff. Meds are ready in a matter of 30-40 minutes and they are always there with a smile.
Having this pharmacy stacked with some of the nicest employees (close to where I live) is one of the nicest things about living in the New Town area. Great job to the whole pharmacy team!!! (esp Justin - just the nicest worker ever!)

Apparently no one here knows how to process returns. They give you a run around and waste time.

I like this location. I often use the grocery pickup service. The young men and women that tend to load my groceries are friendly, diligent, and genuinely seem to be doing their best even when something unforseen causes delays. For the most part, I do not have to wait long once I arrive, and the groceries are loaded up quickly and efficiently. To the staff: I appreciate all of you hardworking folks there in delivery! Keep up the good work. You make life a little easier for people like me.

At about 1:00 p.m. today THERE WERE NO CASHIER CHECKOUTS OPEN. Only self-check outs. According to multiple press reports, theft at self check-outs is two-three times theft at cashier check-outs. If Walmart would hire a few more people, customers would not be forced to use self-checkout and they would have less store theft. But then it seems that this Walmart could care less about customers.

Great quality, best prices. Not "gorgeous" like other chains but not nearly as gloomy as Aldi. Friendly folks.
