Recently visited this Target location and experienced customer service at a disappointing level. I have always enjoyed visiting this location, however today's visit involved a Manager on Duty that did not seem aware of the customer check out process during the day after Christmas shopping. I entered a check out service line and placed the items I wanted to purchase in the conveyor belt (there was only one person in front of me who was checking out). The Manager on Duty came over and spoke to the cashier about covering his break. Meanwhile, more customers entered the line behind me. After watching me place all of my items for purchase, the cashier tells me that she can't check me out because she has to go cover Guest Services. Her announcement was not loud enough for the customers (2-3 people) behind me to hear. This created a check out environment that included one cashier checkout line and the remaining registers were self checkout. The line volume increased and resulted in me leaving the store without making a purchase as I watched the manager on duty walk over and stand in Starbucks as customers looked confused about what happened to the previous checkout line. As someone with Manager on Duty experience in a high volume customer service environment, I realize the importance of awareness during busy time frames. I also understand the importance of not putting employees in situations that results in the loss of business. I hope that Target sees this review and takes a moment to understand how this incident affects the level of customer service that Target customers are accustomed to.

I needed to grab a few items before heading back to my room for the night and I sought out a Target to go to. I'm not sure when this one was built in the area, but it looks to be on the newer side. Walking in it was welcoming and made it feel like it was going to be a simple stop. I walked to where the items were that I knew I was going to need. The one item that I was definitely looking for was an air freshener. I was happy to see that not only did they have them in stock, but many to choose from. Unlike other stores of the caliber. The biggest hold up here was the registers. Most people are ushered to the self checkouts. There were not many regular checkouts open. Not everybody knows how to use the self checkouts, so the ushering of the people here kind of made a bottleneck and backup.

I was in to find a swim suit not much hanging. Most was picked over already. Wish there were more to pick from since it close to water country I thought there would be more. Even the jeans had a low amount to pick from. Sad nice store and not a lot of workers. And what's up no music playing over the intercom, I was in dressing room I didn't hear any music playing. The Newport News store plays music shouldn't all the store do the same. Went to Starbucks while there and it was clean & inviting Persephone was very nice full of style.

Kudos to the gentleman who helped me this evening at customer service. He was so kind and we exchanged great conversation. We laughed a little too over my broken candle that was shipped. I think his name was Hareem. The store was clean and very well organized, unlike my Hampton or Newport News location. The dollar spot section was pretty tidy as well. I also loliked the layout of this location.

For now, the only Target that sells Ethiopian coffee for a Keurig machine. Out of the way but a drive to Williamsburg is always fun. Unfortunately, the Starbucks inside Target does not accept Starbucks QR code.

This particular target stays very neat and clean. I shop here a lot. It just bothers me that the employees never really ask me "do I need help with finding anything" I can remember ONE time a employee asked me this. I myself worked in retail and I always stressed the importance of customer service and this store needs some work on that. Also the cosmetic Dept is always empty and seems to never be restocked I went in there yesterday the face wash section was missing a lot of products. The make up Dept as well wasn't restocked. It's like they let it get to the point of nothing left before they add more.

I visit this Target about 4 days a week. The staff is very nice and helpful. The clearance on the end caps are freaking amazing so please check them out. The busiest time is during the summer, due to the store being located near Water country. If you want to visit a clean organized Target this is definitely the place. FYI make sure you have the cartwheel app, there's always specials and discount Starbucks!!

This store has an array of well-organized vegan protein foods in the frozen food section. Who would have expected this at Target???

The Wife anfd I were checking out checking oit tonight and I asked the ladu if theu gave senior or Military discounts ? She said no . That is why I have 5 stars.

First time coming to this target as it's kind of out of the way. This store is clean and organized. Lots of selections and clearance items you wouldn't find at other locations. The check out was a bit slow. Not enough lanes open and too many employees standing around. I would visit again if in the area.

This review is for the eating area. Came and bought Hot Dogs at &2.59 each one. I'm not expecting gourmet but come one. Rubbery hot dog left on the griddle for too long. Everyone of the tables dirty and two Starbucks attendants doing I don't know what . Ewww.. Floor full of debris stock carts in aisle .

This store is always clean and organized, but every time I come in, I am dodging 50 employees throughout the store and then sit in line behind 12 people because only one register is open. Just wish they would manage the staffing better.

This truly is the best Target I've ever been to. Maybe I'm used to the NY and NJ locations but there was everything I needed for a week stay in the area. And so clean and neat.

We go to this target all the time and like its clean and well stocked.but the employees can be rude.One time it was 10-15 mins before it closed and we were walking up to the front to check out and a woman looked at us and rudely said they are waiting for you at the check out we are getting ready to close. I said you close at 10 right? she said yes and I said ok and walked off we were in the check out at 5 til it closed and they cut the lights out..
