I've have had several close calls but it finally happened. I was involved in a run hit and run by an employee pushing a blue online shoppers cart.... she didn't even stop. Walmart is literally pushing its faithful foot traffic out the door. Blue carts are everywhere. Wear a helmet.

I went to Walmart on Monticello today around 11am. I have never been so frustrated while doing grocery shopping. It seemed like they pulled out every possible loaded pallet and put them directly in from of the shelves where shopper needed access to. I totally understand the process of restocking shelves but seriously, couldn't you do it one at a time? On the chip isle there were 3 packed pallets side by side. So I had to leave Walmart and go to another grocery store. If anyone knows of a time when they ARENT restocking, I'd love to know because that's the onlytime I'll ever shop there again. Whatever happened to stocking late at night?

I have never been to a Walmart that is like a quickie mart. But this Walmart was just groceries. We were able to get everything we needed at the great Walmart prices. I can't believe I am saying this but the employees were extremely friendly. Our cashier even gave us suggestions on restaurants and local beaches. It was a rare but good experience.

Made order online , was deliver wrong order 5/5 .Call to the customer service Andreas agent said that i will get my order in 1 hour . I was waiting nothing came , then i call back and other agent said that my order was never put together ,because they cannot get there store. So, the agent was on the phone for 15 minutes was no body pick up the phone in the store. Clearly , this store needs a better training for the associates at least to pick up the phone and better service . So, came today to the store get the stuff that i did't get ,any way was talking to a old woman that she work in store , i said to her about what happen yesterday . Her responds was I MISSING THE PHONE CALL NOW ????? trhen she said that they not responsible for delivery , so if i got the wrong order its my problem ???? Lira B

This small Walmart is strictly groceries. If you're looking for clothes and other department store-like stuff, you'll want to go to the big Walmart across town. But for groceries and pharmacy, you can check out this place. It's relatively small but should cover all of your basic needs. They cook inexpensive chicken you can take home and eat without any preparation. (The smell may intoxicate you, if you like chicken.) Pharmacy includes a drive up, which is convenient if you're too ill or elderly to want to walk into the store. (It's also good for social distancing purposes.) Staff is friendly enough. Lots of parking. Plenty of grocery carts. Check out includes both in person and self service.

I got into disagreeable situation today. I came to self checkout to pay for items, the machine showed error couple times and declined my credit card. The store assistant disappeared somewhere. I took all items and went to different self checkout. I completed transaction there and successfully paid for items. But at the parking lot Walmart' employees stopped my car and young lady said: my supervisor said that you forgot to pay! I showed my receipt and explained the situation... and she said : okay. Just okay! Nobody even apologized for that! Your supervisor should check and help customers when your system is frizzes and they have to go to another checkout to pay for items!!! And it's not so hard to say just sorry, when you guys blame your customer for nothing!

Love the neighborhood market concept from Walmart. Well-stocked and immaculate, this store is a great addition to Settler's Market. I used the bakery for birthday party cupcakes; they did a nice job. Clean restrooms in back, Redbox movie rental in interior lobby. Customer service is good. No issues at checkout but I wish more cashiers were open. Not a fan of the push for customers to self-checkout.

I have the best experience here almost every day. I work a short distance from this Walmart making it my go to for shopping. I want to acknowledge a woman who works at this location, I do not know her name but she has short curly hair and is very outgoing and I most often find her at self checkout or helping other customers. She is the epitome of customer care, anytime I see her she is absolutely wonderful with helping me or other customers out and even adding in her own spice of conversation. The type of customer care that deserves a promotion, to exemplify her attitude to other associates. I'm sure anyone who works there or frequents there as much as I knows exactly who I am speaking of. Shelves always stocked with my needs I've never not been able to find what I'm looking for And THE PRODUCE!!!!! I LOVE YOUR PRODUCE! Always fresh and vibrant looking, unlike other places such as food lion. The deli counter has amazing staff as well and each associate working in this department has been nothing but kind, respectful, and helpful. I have shopped here for years and I plan to continue for many more if this is kept up!

I'm originally from New Jersey, so my family loves vacationing in Williamsburg. After going to college at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, it's pretty funny seeing everyone's face when I tell them that I vacation in Williamsburg. This Walmart is located in the Monticello and it is truly a "neighborhood market." This is not a superstore, mostly groceries and common household items. Most food establishments and shopping places are located in Monticello, making it a very ideal spot. My family likes to stay Greensprings Vacation Resort by Diamond Resorts and this Walmart is only a short 10 minute drive. So after unpacking and settling in, we almost always make a trip to Walmart to get groceries for breakfast and other meals. I highly recommend their $1 french bread. The only notable thing I have to point out is that the check-outs are all Scan-and-Go, meaning that there is no employee working at each cashier. As a young adult, I'm used to using self-checkouts, but this might not be the case for the elderly population in Williamsburg. There is still an employee rotating around, but if multiple people are having difficulty checking out, it could result in a longer waiting time. Overall, this Walmart is just more convenient, if anything. I never had a bad experience, but there wasn't anything that was spectacular (but then again, this is just a Walmart). Fun Fact: Walmart Neighborhood Markets have a different exterior design than the Walmart Supercentres. Walmart Neighborhood Markets are green, while Walmart Supercentres are blue.

Got rid of all their cashiers, so everyone has to do their own checkout. I won't be back.

I was in the checkout line for this store so long today that I was able to write and post this review while waiting. This store just replaced HALF of their checkout lanes with self serve registers. TERRIBLE IDEA! Especially for the elderly demographics of Williamsburg. That just made every regular checkout line even longer because no one wants to use the unreliable self-serve registers. I used to be a cashier at a grocery store so I know how to use the self serve registers. But until Walmart pays me to work for them, I refuse to do their work. Self serve registers fail frequently - usually when the "helper" is off doing something else. I will now go out of my way to avoid this store. I should also mention that this store is frequently poorly stocked. Many shelves were bare today and/or missing several items. It almost looked like this Walmart was going out of business - I had to go to another grocery store to finish shopping. They do not hire enough employees to keep the shelves properly stocked. Finally, today the rude, surly cashier wouldn't even say hello. Another Walmart employee told me that Walmart plans to start charging 5 cents for every plastic bag. Really? This is such a poorly managed store that the nearby Publix and Harris Teeter grocery stores should be celebrating Walmart's incompetence, in my opinion.
