I love this place!! My dog is extremely difficult and even though they have to sedate him, I know he is in good hands. Most of my visits are emergency related and they ALWAYS take care of my dog (Stewie) and get me in as soon as they can. I work 11 hour days so it can be hard to find the time to get there, but they always allow me to drop him off at my appointment time. The whole staff is amazing and I would recommend them to anyone!!

After trying several recommended exotics (rabbit) vets in the area, I needed to have real expert care. I got it here at Jolly Pond with Dr. Brown. I found out there are those who take their rabbits especially to Dr. Brown for her experience and expertise in rabbits. Her experience, professional manner, and knowledge surpassed everything. Is she worth over the hour drive one way? Absolutely. I have multiple rabbits, geriatric to young, and she is capable of handling everything. She referred me to NC State U for an issue and I am totally happy with them and her for making the call. We all 3 worked together for the bunny's well being. The ideal vet. I have had multiple problems presented to her and she was capable of dealing with them all. Yes, having to travel that far is tough but at least I am up there for things and I'm getting an outstanding education in caring for my rabbits at home, in the safety and comfort of their known quiet place. This is better for them. I am trusted and that makes me feel confident about how to work for the best of my animals. I'm very grateful to Dr. Brown and her excellent staff for all they've done in this short time I've been there.

Update: look who's 3 now and better than ever! Still a patient of jolly pond too :) My family has taken our pets here for as long as I can remember. Everyone is kind and professional, and makes the pets feel as comfortable as possible! I recently adopted a kitten from an affiliated foster agency who got her leg amputated by Dr. Brown and she is doing very well. Thank you to Dr. Gussman for introducing me to this little angel!

They have always taken great care of my beagle Paisley. When she ate mushrooms, I appreciated that Dr. Hill gave me a variety of options of care including price since it could get quite expensive so I appreciated that he walked me through the pros/cons of our options. Even more impressive, when I also adopted a 50lb lab, Dodger, he growled twice at Dr. Hill because he is afraid of men. Dr. Hill calmly sat on the ground and gave Dodger treats until he was comfortable, not rushing us through the process and asked how the dogs were adjusting and giving me advice of how Dodger could overcome his fear of men. Then this morning when our two dogs got in a scuffle over a Kong treat, the staff at the front desk as well as Dr. Gussman assured me that 1) these things happen and that it wasn't a fight, just a scuffle and 2) she gave me some much needed advice on how to prevent things like that moving forward. The staff and doctors care about the dogs physical and emotional well being and have the dogs' best interest at heart. The front desk and doctors also comforted me through the ordeal. I'm so glad that I have them as a resource.

Started using Jolly Pond when I moved to the area. My two golden retrievers have received excellent care. Teeth cleaning, operation for removal of a lipoma and routine care have all been handled with care and compassion. I recently took my young golden retriever to Jolly Pond for routine checkup. She was examined by Dr. Fidler. I was impressed with Dr. Fidler, she was very friendly and thorough. A good addition to Jolly Pond.

Our dog was seen just once at Jolly Pond and I liked Dr. Fiddler. However, I saw the front desk staff on a regular basis (for Rx pickup) and found them disinterested, impersonal and not the least bit friendly. When I decided to go elsewhere for veterinary services, they told me my pet's records had been misplaced.

I take all of my 4 legged family members to Jolly Pond. They offer exceptional care. Dr. Brown does outstanding work, whether it be for typical checks or emergency work.

When we moved to Williamsburg we took one of our dogs to Jolly Pond Veterinary where Ruth Gussman provided care. We liked Ruth very much. We thought good, vet found. The next time we needed vet services for one of our other dogs a 5-minute conversation with the person who answered our call ended our business with Jolly Pond. Rude, uncaring, and disrespectful. While she chastised me for not calling earlier in the day ( I work evenings ) I remember thinking how unprofessional she was being, and wanting to call her rudeness out...then I thought better of it. We went elsewhere. Sad really...seemed like a nice practice.
