We are incredibly grateful for the exceptional experience our child has had at Creative Critters. From the moment we walked in, the staff have been warm, welcoming, and attentive to our child's needs. The facility is clean, secure, and brimming with a variety of engaging activities that seamlessly blend learning and fun.
The caregivers are genuinely caring and create a nurturing environment that makes our child feel both secure and happy. We particularly appreciate the regular updates and photos that keep us connected and informed about our child's progress and daily adventures.
Nothing speaks more to the quality of care than the sheer excitement our child shows each day upon arriving at Creative Critters. It's clear that the staff foster a fun, loving, and enriching atmosphere. We couldn't be more pleased.

I am recommending this day care to the parents. Out child was there since 4 months through 2.5 years now. What matters to us is that he is happy every day we pick him up. He is excited about his day, and in the morning he is happy to go in. What more could you wish for as a parent who has to work and leave a child at the daycare? Director is very attentive and responsive if any needs or concerns. Teachers are very involved, caring and truly love what they do! I truly appreciate al the teachers hard work and love for the children. All the exercises and crafts that they do is great, and we can see how our son progresses with speech and other developmental tasks every week! My son is in a loving and caring environment and is encouraged to learn every day while at Creative Critters Toano! Thank you for all you do.

Our daughter has been going to Creative Critters since she was 3 months old. The staff is exceptional, attentive to her needs and knows when she’s not feeling well. They make it very easy to check in and keep up with my child. I’d give more than 5 stars, if I could. Thank You Creative Critters!

We have been a part of the Creative Critters family for almost 3 years, and have had a very positive and satisfied experience with the care my children receive(d). Both my 6 and 2 1/2 year old daughters love and are loved by their teachers immensely. Andrea the Director is in my opinion, sent from heaven. The experience she brings to the center has been invaluable, the leadership she’s exemplified over the center hasn’t gone unnoticed - the teachers seem happy to be there and are always super friendly and genuinely loving on the children. The owner, Kathy along with Andrea have bent over backwards to help me navigate through some tough behavioral issues with my oldest as we tackled pre-school at Creative Critters and then when she went to kindergarten. The kindness and love for children through the center is evident and we highly recommend Creative Critters to all families looking for a loving daycare.

My son has been going since he was a year old. He loves all the teachers he has had and he has shown so much growth in his development. The staff is great and my son loves the friends he has made. His language skills and his talking has improved so much.
Update: Both of my sons now go here. They both love their teachers and the curriculum I can tell is helping both of them to learn so much. I feel great everyday that I leave my sons here that they are learning and that all the teachers care about them so much!!!

We have been at Creative Critters since my oldest daughter who is now 7 was 4 months old! So 2017 and still there! I have 3 kids and have been through the turnover and changes in staff and directors. Kathy and Kristin have always been amazing at being transparent with parents as well as available if you have any concerns or questions! The director now Andrea is amazing and friendly and responsive to any needs or questions! My kids are happy and loved and I have had no issues! Totally recommend for anyone looking for a friendly learning center for their kids!

First and foremost, the well-being of my children is of utmost importance to me. Therefore, I am willing to go to great lengths to ensure that they receive the highest quality care. Initially, when I began my search for suitable childcare options, I quickly dismissed the idea of enrolling them at Creative Critters on Rochambeau due to the negative rumors and online reviews I had come across. Unfortunately, all the daycare facilities in my vicinity were fully booked, leaving me with no other choice but to explore alternatives in a different city. However, even there, I faced the same predicament as all the other Creative Critters centers were also at full capacity.Just when I thought I had exhausted all possibilities, I unexpectedly received a call from the registration department. They inquired whether I would be open to considering Creative Critters on Rochambeau. Initially, my immediate response was a resounding "absolutely not!" I couldn't help but question the credibility of the center given the negative feedback I had encountered. However, the person on the other end of the line assured me that there had been some issues in the past but that a new management team was now in place, diligently working to rectify any shortcomings. Intrigued by the possibility of a positive change, I decided to take a leap of faith and give Creative Critters on Rochambeau a chance. To my delight, my three children have grown to adore this place. In fact, I suspect they may even prefer their teachers over me! It brings me immense joy to witness their happiness and contentment in their new environment. I am truly grateful for the decision I made, as it has proven to be a wonderful choice for my family.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR INFANT HERE!! Our 12 week old was dirty when I picked him up, with crusties and dried spit up in his neck and hair, and he was slumped over in a sit me up chair that's he's not old enough to sit in, and he was surrounded by a bunch of toddlers (including one who was incredibly sick with an awful cough and snot running down his face who kept grabbing my sons hand so of course now my child is sick) who shouldn't be in the same room as he.They didn't follow the eating instructions so he was spitting up like crazy and was covered in it. On the second day, according to the app they use, they didn't change his diaper for 7 hours. 7 HOURS! Lastly when we told them we were pulling our son, instead of asking why we were doing so after just a day and a half, Andrea said that they just wanted to remind us that according to the agreement we have to pay for 4 more weeks bc they required 4 weeks notice and that they would be happy to continue to watch him. It was so sad. I took our sweet baby home, gave him a bath and just held him and cried what an awful daycare experience.

I had my son attended Creative Critters from 2012 to 2015. I thought it was a great place for my son, staff seemed great, facility was half the size it is today. Kristin was the director at the time and she was always a pleasure. The 1 caveat is in the last year my son was there, CPS called me to report a former employee reported my son was being abused by another employee. At the time, my son was too young to TELL me anything was happening to him so I let the investigation run its course. I met with Kristin and the owner lady, they both assured me that it wasnt true and that it was just a disgruntled employee trying to stir up trouble. About a month later, CPS calls me again to say they'd concluded the investigation and felt the accusation was unfounded so they closed the case. I thought nothing else of it. Its been so long I cant even remember the name of the female being accused but i distinctly remember CPS told me she was being accused of hitting and pinching my son in the face. We moved away in 2015, and i havent thought of Creative Critters since. Fast forward to LAST WEEK, May 2023, my son, now 12 years old, randomly asks me if I remember the daycare he used to go to when he was young. Of course I do, to which he responds I didnt like 1 of the ladies there, she used to hit me in the stomach and head, she used to push me down on purpose and pinch me when she got mad. I WAS FLOORED!!!! He didnt know about the CPS investigation so I told him and probed for more information. He couldnt remember the ladies name either but went on to say how he remembered she always acted nice when I came around but was really mean to him and another black kid. He also remembers her doing this in front of other staff. BTW, My son is mixed race, the ex employee was black, and the lady being accused was white so the thought crossed my mind that its possible this lady was abusing the colored kids only. AGAIN MY FACE HIT THE FLOOR AT THE REVELATION THAT THE EX EMPLOYEE WAS TELLING THE TRUTH and The STAFF pretty much COVERED IT UP!!! Let this be a lesson to all parents, no matter how nice a facility or personnel, ALWAYS KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON YOUR KIDS. You just never know who means them harm. I know the lady wasnt fired at the time but I certainly PRAY she has moved on to another profession bc she has NO business taking care of children. I certainly hope the owner and/or Kristin (if shes still there) read this. This is a lesson for them as well.

We have been at this location for about 2 years. Rob and Misty as the directors are absolutely amazing. The communication is great with them as well as the teachers. They genuinely care about the kids and their learning. We feel like family when we are there!
