Worst $250 I've ever spent in my life. This place is the worst tourist trap I've ever been to. I feel like I've never been so ripped off before. 3 senior admissions+1 regular admission+ 1 carriage ride=$250. You have to pay admissions to get into some of the buildings, however most of those buildings are closed. There were only 6 or 7 buildings open on that day. Besides, you have to go with the tour guides to go inside the buildings. The tours are 30 minutes apart. We drove down here from New York. The carriage ride is only 10 minutes and it costs$65. That's a $650/ hour rate. The most profitable lawyers and doctors don't even make that kind of money. I don't understand why a place like this even exists. I wouldn't even recommend this place to the devil.

My boyfriend and I spent the week in Williamsburg touring Colonial Williamsburg as well as the other historic spots. Colonial Williamsburg was such a great experience. From the historic buildings to the way the staff are dressed. We loved how interactive it was too. The court house experience and the Midwinter's Native American talk and Musket shootings were some of our favorites. Everyone was so helpful and nice as well. The Triangle ticket was completely worth it. It included a ton of things. This was such a wonderful experience. We will be back.

There is so much to see and do. We did a court session where people from the crowd participated. There are tours and our guide was really awesome. She was very knowledgeable and had some great stories to share. You definitely need more than one day to see and do everything. The craftsman tell you how they made shoes, furniture, news sheets and books. All very interesting.

Huge disappointment!! Started by nit opening at 0845 as advertised. Didn't open until 0915. Cashier at visitor center clearly didn't want to be there and was rude. After riding the bus , Started reading the map. Found that 75% of things we wanted to see were closed on Saturdays. Ended up spending less than an hour there for $50 a person.

Huge, but nicely done center. The main building was impressive outside and inside both. Friendly, knowledgeable staff were on hand to assist with information, questions, and purchases.Two large gift shops with just-about-everything items and gifts you could imagine as pertinent to the history and area. Great movie facility with a surprisingly enjoyable movie to help with understanding the sociopolitical climate of that time. Large, clean bathrooms, ample seating about, and lots of ticket kiosks.

This place really has so much to offer. The museum and walking area is huge. You could probably spend days walking around here. Parking is pretty easy. Many employees walking around and teaching about the history. Very good for site seeing or stopping for a picnic. Downsides are it’s very slow and not suited for kids. Also added in history to help more interesting. Worth a day trip.

If you have seen Roots, then this is the WORST place to go. Surprisingly ? shocking there were only white people there. Based on the exhibits and experience AND the $50 entry fee, they attempt to glamorize slavery, and black and white people being friends. I was TOTALLY OFFENDED IMMEDIATELY! Even the crowd control was racist. This wasn't history ? It was white washed colonialism ?

If you're interested in the history of Williamsburg, this ought to be your first stop. The visitor center will sell you a $50 pass although this is only to enter certain locations and demonstrations that are primarily in the morning - I recommend going in the morning rather than the afternoon.Regardless of purchasing a pass, there is still a good deal to explore. The church and its small historical center in particular is definitely worth checking out. The historians on site are extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

I’m a huge fan of history and this whole town experience was great for learning all about the colonial settlement of Williamsburg.Quick rundown of our trip, we parked at the massive visitor center that screams, we are America. Then we walked to the governor’s Palace. It’s a decent walk for young ones but doable. After the 25 min tour of the palace we got lost in the maze. After that we headed to the blacksmith, tin shop, book binder, leather maker, and tavern tour.The local volunteer walking around was eager to talk to us about all the great things in town. We ended our stay with a trip on the shuttle back to the visitor center.Bring good walking shoes!

A great way to first arrive at Colonial Williamsburg. The ladies at the information desk were quite helpful and friendly. Purchasing tickets was a bit more challenging, though, as they had just begun using a new POS system for ticket sales and it was obvious that their personnel were struggling to use it. As it was off season, it was not at all crowded. The restrooms were immaculate!

Very neat place to visit. Lots of activities for the kids, especially in warmer weather. Pool, splash pad, corn hole, putt-putt, basketball, etc(*some things may be connected to the hotel and not the visitor center). Very nice store and information inside. The fountain map and raised map are very cool! We enjoyed our stay and visit!
