I have been using this Williamsburg Best Buy for a few years now and have found them to be adequate for my basic needs, but yesterday I had a very unfortunate experience with them. I have purchased quite a few gift cards from this store over the years and went in to get an Amazon gift card for a purchase I needed to make. When I came home with the GC and tried to redeem it, the redemption code was partially scratched away. Without that code, I could not redeem the card. I took the card back today and the cashier said there was nothing Best Buy could do. I came home and contacted Amazon and the rep said the card had already been redeemed. I did not redeem it, so it was a fraudulent card and sale by Best Buy. I called Best Buy's customer service line, and they said that I could either wait for someone to call me later to work on the issue or I could go back to the store of purchase and speak with a manager, whom the rep assured could correct the issue. I said I would like someone to call me but I went ahead and returned to the store in Williamsburg, as well. The manager I spoke with was adamant that he could and would do nothing. He basically said that I was out the $150 I paid them yesterday for the card. I used my Best Buy credit card to make the purchase. He said the issue was not their concern. I stated to him that I came into the store in good faith to make the purchase, that they were the ones who sold the fraudulent card, and his response was, oh well. Additionally the person that was supposed to call me back from the corporate office never did. I am out $150 due to Best Buy's sale of fraudulent gift cards and lousy customer service and will never deal with this Best Buy again, probably any Best Buy for that matter. Hugely disappointed, especially since money is very tight and I really can't afford to have $150 flushed down the proverbial toilet.

Really impressed by the customer service offered by Owen..he is the real G…had to come to store multiple times and had to return tv that had some defects and this guy always helped me like someone should help a customer..thanks

Pretty easy to find - shopping area off Marquis Parkway - have to love Williamsburg's Colonial America associations everywhere - makes me smile. Seems a couple of large stores are now empty, but the Target and Best Buy are on the same side, and Google maps took me right there. Clerks were friendly and courteous and enough to answer my questions. Bought what I needed and on my way. Pretty quiet at 5 pm on Friday of Memorial Day weekend. Like a lot of places, some of what I wanted to see wasn't in stock, but it's hard to complain about that.

This Best Buy is better than the average Best Buy. Want to know why I think so? This location seemed on the ropes a year or two ago. Almost nothing in demand was in stock, unkempt aisle’s all over the store, and unfriendly employees who clearly had better things to do than helping customers. Now, I’m greeted with a smile and an offer to help every time I enter, and they mean it! The store is clean. They have decent inventory. Most importantly, it seems like they value their customers. Great job to the people that turned this location around. I would have given this place 1 star 2 years ago. They’ve earned every bit of the 4 stars I’d rate them today.

Staff member found me as soon as i needed the help in grabbing what i needed which was 2 new watches, he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the stores policies and helped me get a good price on the watches i was getting. He talked to me like a person which is very rare in tech stores for me being a girl and made it just a very plesent shopping experience compared to other best buys ive been in. 100% coming back if i need anything else tech related

Hands down nightmare
I purchased a gaming laptop in June of 2022 with a “Best Buy Total Tech” coverage that I’ve had since 2018. Explaining that all items purchase under that warranty are covered if anything happens.
In 2023, my membership “lapsed” they said. Saying my old car on the “auto renew” did not go through… hence why I say “old card”. They claim they tried contacting me via email but each and every email was sent to my spam (which a sales associate even said they’ve had problems with). I renewed the membership at the store due to the lady at the front saying it would help my chances of having it all covered
Now I have a $2000 laptop, that is not working and they refuse to fix it and only covering 20%. I’ve been told by geek squad customer service to talk to a “in-store manager” but also yet in the store they are telling me to call the customer service number.
I have loved this location for many years but I will not be purchasing anything else from this company nor will I be recommended any other coverages due to poor customer service handling
