Every time we visit Williamsburg, I try and stop in for the nutri-safflower our little birds can't get enough of. Although their store is small it is packed with a surplus of goodies for the wildlife and wildlife lovers.

I've shopped at the Backyard Birder since it opened in the Quarterpath Shopping Center. The staff of this locally owned and operated shop is always friendly and helpful. Although small in size, you can find a wide variety of interesting bird-related products. I've purchased food, feeders, birdbaths, a trellis and other items over the years and have been very happy with the quality of these products. Highly recommend this shop. They also have a very generous loyalty program.

Just had the worst experience at this store. Brought in my bird feeder to have ring replaced. It comes with a life time warranty. The women who "helped" me insisted I didn't buy it there and couldn't get replacement ring to fit. I had had it replaced previously at this store with no problem. She kept insisting I hadn't bought it there even though I assured her multiple times I did. She gave me the ring and I went home and miraculously it fit. Why she felt the need to argue with me is beyond me. Customer service at its worst

One simple pleasure during the COVID-19 outbreak here, in WJCC, and the concerns surrounding community spread, has been to enjoy the variety of bird species in our community. I appreciate the owners and staff at Backyard Birder for ensuring safe, contactless purchases. Their personal attention will keep me coming back to their store long after this health crisis is behind us. Support local business owners and avoid big box stores!!!

A specialty store such as this needs return customers as well as word of mouth. I would think they would treat their customer with more respect and courtesy. I will not visit this store again and I do not recommend.

They know birds! You can describe what your looking for and they supply you with the perfect product. Love this store!

When you enter the shop, you immediately understand the high quality feeders, homes, and feed. The suet is always a big hit with the birds. The hummingbird food and the flavor saver is drawing so many hummingbirds we had to buy a second feeder.

Great local store with everything you need. Knowledgeable staff. Don't let the small store fool you as they have a good selection of feeders, houses, bee houses, pole systems, food, etc.
