I ordered some heavy items from the store and when I did, I asked if they would deliver them to the basement. They said yes. I bought them. The drivers arrived 1 hour early; refused to carry the items to the basement; and they never even checked to see how easy it was. Never shopping for items there again.

Preston was highly knowledgeable, professional, yet friendly and approachable. He was extremely helpful. Mike was also great, helpful and friendly. I am impressed with the staff at this store. Thank you for a very pleasant shopping experience. Highly recommend!

Local box chain hardware store ish ! Tip: use store wifi: also it's app can help you find items! So add is sometimes a hit or miss! They very interesting people working there! Someone when I am not in a hurry, I strike up a conversation just like a old school hardware store! Advise is hit or miss! Love the discount for veterans Love the birds in the store and wonder what happens to them ! You always find something to complain about! I buy local chain when I can like ace , but I use Lowe's for more complicated stuff! examen des cols bleus:

there are two home-improvement projects that I had done through Lowe's. These were within the last year. For both jobs I have tried to contact Lowes because there have been some defects that need to be fixed. The first job was my bathroom. And they contracted the job out to Rebath. I was happy at first but now there is Rust coming down my shower wall from a safety bar and the grout on the shower floor is coming off. I did contact Rebath and they told me that it would be nearly $200 just to come to my home . That is unacceptable to me. The second job was a replacement door for my sons bedroom. And now the door has come off the hinges again. I contacted Lowe's there are two locations in my area and neither one of them will accept that I got the job from them. In fact some fellow somewhere was downright rude to me on the phone telling me that he wasn't going to listen to it anymore . So I need replacement windows for my house but I will not be going through Lowe's. I will never ever use them again. They do not stand behind their work nor do they stand behind the people they contracted the jobs out to. Oh and one more thing a couple of years ago I got them to put a deck on the back of my house. Every year the railing gets very loose and dangerous. They came out one time to tighten it up but they won't do it anymore. Now if they're not gonna stand behind their work I'm not gonna use them.

Lowes did try to fix our problem with shed doors. They even tried to help after we sold the house.

Absolutely horrible customer service! The first thing I want to note is that mask wearing in this store is about 50-50. That didn't leave me feeling very safe. I came to purchase a few items, including a new grill. We were able to check out OK, but that's when everything turned incredibly difficult and frustrating. It took about 20 minutes for someone with a key to unlock the grill. After a while someone finally came. We needed to remove a couple of the side trays in order to fit the grill into our vehicle. A man came by on a riding mower and told us he would be right back. We were counting on his help so we could get out of there. However, he never returned. I went to the customer service desk to get a screwdriver and they gave me the wrong kind, so I came back to exchange for a Phillips head. To my shock they did not have any to lend. What kind of home-improvement store does not have a single Phillips head screwdriver in their spare kit?? I Saw the guy who came on the lawnmower behind the customer service desk but he would not acknowledge me. It seemed like it took five sales associates to figure out how to solve one problem. They were all packed like sardines and nobody was efficient. I finally gave up on getting any type of customer service and just bought the screwdriver myself. I understand that the store was busy and understaffed, but the people who were on staff were totally unhelpful. It took an hour and a half. I won't ever return.

Yet another Lowe's disaster. Ordered new kitchen cabinets and waited for them to be delivered to the store. We had to keep calling them to find out if and when they ever arrived. Notified them 3 days prior of our intentions to pick them up. First of all, the order was wrong and no one bothered to check them in. Then when we arrived to pick them up they had not pulled the order. Then 2.5 hrs later they bring us a floor model cabinet that is damaged and expected us to accept that without compensation. Still here 3 hrs later here we stand waiting... Zero customer service

I purchased a washer and a dryer online 4 weeks ago. Originally, the order was to be delivered on 7/9 but due to a delay in our house closing I pushed it back to 7/24. Online it indicated my order was in stock and ready to be delivered on the 9th so you would think there would be no trouble delivering it on the 24th. Wrong. The items were supposed to be delivered by 3:30. I received a call from the truck driver saying he was 20 min away at 1:30. At 3:30 no one had showed up. I called the driver back twice before he returned my call at 4:15. He said he was running behind but would be there in 20 min. At 5:45 I called and the driver said he went home because Lowe's said it wasn't in stock. No one called me to communicate this. I called the store and was told my items were at the store and the delivery driver didn't pick it up. That was a lie. I spoke with a manager and turns out some sales person sold my dryer to someone else. I was told I would have to figure something else out. I was transferred to appliances 3 times with no answer and was hung up on. I called back and the manager decided to take a lunch. Convenient. A guy from customer care told me he would see what he could do and that another store in the area had them in stock. Turns out that was wrong information too. At 8:30 pm I called again and was told there was no way to get my dryer and it would be mid August before they could get another one in. How incompetent can you be? Are your sales agents not smart enough to not sell other people's stuff? Or is this a problem with management? The customer care kid was more willing to try to help find a solution than the manager. After a day filled with lies from this store and their delivery crew I decided to cancel my entire order. Best Buy might be a little more expensive but atleast they are honest about their time frames. I will never shop at Lowe's again. I suggest you look elsewhere for quality customer service. I would rate this store 0 stars if I could.

If you need carpet installed within 90 days these are not your guys. Currently we are past 60 days and we are being told that the carpet will be delivered to the installers in 2 weeks. Then we will be scheduled by the installers again. We already did this dance 60 days into the process only to be told the carpet was defective. Unfortunately they just don't care.

I'll echoe some of the negative reviews. I can't count the number of times I've had bad experiences at this Lowe's. A few of the employees are helpful. The majority are not. They're, in general, more given to standing around in groups talking to each other than to providing customer service. Customers seem to be regarded as an annoyance. The cashiers are too often surly and rude. I'm done shopping there, and now go to Home Depot, half a mile away. It's a significantly smaller store, but the employees are helpful. This Lowe's store: ugh. I'd give it half a star if that were an option.

I will never deal with Lowe's again. I said this before after a terrible experience 1 year ago involving having a riding lawn mower delivered. I decided to give them another chance after finding the dishwasher I wanted during their early Black Friday sale. The dishwasher was special order and I was quoted a 2-week install date. After the original date of 11-21 was cancelled because the dishwasher supposedly hadn't arrived and the installer refused to take possession of a damaged floor model to install, I was told by installer that he would contact me as soon as the dishwasher came in. So I waited some more. A couple days later the corporate office contacted me to find out how satisfied I was with the dishwasher installation, to which I replied "What installation." I was then told that the dishwasher would be at the store on 11-28. I received a call from the store that the dishwasher had arrived on 11-30. I had spent 2 days waiting by my home phone for the installer to contact me--no call. I finally called and spoke with a manager today to have my order cancelled. I hope they can get this cancellation done correctly! I purchased a special order range from Home Depot back in August and was looking for the same brand of dishwasher. Home Depot was able to get the range in and installed in 3 days. Lowe's can't get a special order dishwasher installed in 3 weeks. I am definitely through giving my business to Lowe's.

I have to echo the experience of the 2 other posters here. The electrical Dept. is horrible. Shelves are typically empty of what you need, & they will not rectify the inventory situation as they claim it is controlled in Greensboro or Atlanta or whatever. We bought a fridge recently, and it took 6 months to finally get it delivered. All of them were damaged, & we finally just took one to get it over with. My next experience was with ordering cabinets. The order went fine and the lady JoAnne is great, but she is not there often (10-6 Tues & Fri?). The problem came when I got the call that the order was in. I went in at 9:00 AM to pick up, and ended up spending an hour trying to get someone to go in the back and bring the items out. This might be OK for a homeowner on a weekend, but for someone who is trying to get something done with an employee on the clock, this costs $ & is painful to endure. My most recent experience is with ordering a counter top. Again, there is rarely anyone in this Dept. during hours when a contractor really needs them to be there, so this adds time to the project, costing money. It is too bad BC the people in the store are nice, but very few are well trained or can run every Dept., which is what is required for them to help you. This said, the Charlottesville Lowe's Cabinet Dept. is no better, so don't bother with that either. They can take the orders but then manage to lose them or mess them up. Really looks like it could be an issue with Lowe's as a whole. I have been doing business with both stores for many years, & 10 years ago I did not have these kind of issues.

Worst counter experience!! Ordered and paid for in August and the last piece was just installed yesterday....First time the "contractor" and I use the term loosely measured wrong so two pieces that came in didn't even fit. Then a piece on the edge broke off hours after it was put in...I was left with two holes in my counter for months while we waited for more counter to come in and be cut...We didn't allow the contractor to be in the equation anymore. The fabricators did everything directly. It took them three trips from Roanoke to complete the second install. They forgot to round the island, brought the wrong backsplash pieces and then cut one too short. So, to sum it all up I think one star is being way to optimistic!!! Never again!

Workmanship on kitchen install was horrendously poor. It took literally 2 years to get the correct, undamaged cabinetry installed properly. From time to time we still uncover damage that the installer had to have realized he had done at the time but tried to hide. Store employees blamed damaged and missing parts on their coworkers and even on me, which made no sense at all. If you have an unlimited amount of money, time, and patience and don't need your kitchen for 2 years, Lowes might be fine for you. But even that is assuming you won't mind the hidden damage that reveals itself over the months following completion.
