We came here during the Fall Art Tour. The shop on the first floor was interesting with a warm and nice vibe. The gallery in the basement has some pretty interesting collection of art works (e.g., Giselle Gautreau). Although it’s a tiny gallery, we would recommend it to other visitors. Award-Winning Shop & Gallery ~ In 1996, my husband, Robert H. Ballard (with 40+ years in the art business) was offered a space for a small gallery in Little Washington, VA, the town where my mother lived. The art & rug gallery was quickly very successful, so we purchased a larger space, a 1930's building on Main Street. We moved into the apartment upstairs, and began our marriage & partnership in business.
Having worked for a French fabric firm, I wanted to bring in Le Jacquard Francais table linens. After many years of travel, that inventory has expanded to one-of-a-kind finds, European & vintage items, women's accessories, books, children's gifts, and an artful, wide mix of fine gifts and home accessories.
We love beautifying your home!
