I love shopping in Old Town Warrenton but will not set foot in Town Duck again. Their customer service has always been a bit shaky but my last visit there over Memorial Day weekend was terrible. No one spoke a single word to me or my shopping companions-not a welcome to our store or asking us if we needed help and I guess that's ok if that's how you want to run your store. However, my adult daughter was interested in purchasing some cheese from the fresh cheese case and was not just ignored but was actually snubbed. After standing there for several minutes, the man behind the counter gave her a quick glance and continued to talk to some folks who were apparently old friends from out of town but were not purchasing anything. When I noticed that no one was waiting on her, I walked over thinking that if two people were standing there, he would ask us if we needed help. Not only did he not approach us in any way, he actually walked away from the cheese case into another part of the store and left us standing there while he continued his conversation. We waited another minute or two then took the hint and left the store without buying the items I had in my hand to purchase. It worked out ok for us though as that gave us more money to spend in the adorable book store next door. Town Duck, you lost 4 customers that day as none of us will be back.

This is a quaint little shop in the heart of old town Warrenton. It is chock full of wonderful items. The shopkeepers are absolutely delightful. Put this on your To Do list!

We loved this store! Yes, merchandise is expensive but it is also unique and well made, so if you're looking for a special gift this is the place. Shopkeeper was very nice, allowed our dog inside and let her mill about without issues. We asked some questions abut a few items and felt cared for. Bought some wine, linens and snacks, very happy to have stopped by!

This is a lovely store with great gift ideas you don't find anyplace else. Before Christmas I bought an advent calendar with amazing Austrian chocolates. They also have a very in depth wine department. Each week they also take orders for fresh seafood. It's definitely worth checking out.

it's a terrific store with lots of variety for gifts and purchases from a wedding shower to birthday to just something for your house to great selection of wine! warrenton is fortunate to have a store like town duck and owner Annette is friendly and great.
