I've been banking with this establishment for 10 years. This is my first time at this location and it was not pleasant. The bank teller was very rude. I asked to deposit a check and she refused without asking me for any information. She never apologized and she has no customer service. Her name is Elana... horrible. Does not need to serve the public.

I was kind of dreading going to the Independence Blvd location due to the bad reviews. I've never had to deal with this bank before but has to go there to cash my paycheck. There was hardly any wait then when it was my turn to go up to the teller she was just as polite, helpful, respectful as I would hope for. I've only been there once but I have no issues and will be making a bee line for that branch on my next pay period as well

The drive thru is always very quick even if there looks to be a line. The lobby’s are open now which I’m very happy about and everyone is always so friendly and professional. If I’ve ever needed help they’ve always been happy and eager to work with me!

I dont understand why the lynnhaven location closed when the 713 Independence Boulevard va beach va 23455 location was the worst I have ever gone to! What takes 5 mints to do at my lynnhaven location took 30 mints at this location ? A simple transaction became a night mare mistakes after mistakes ? Lou the teller could not do a simple transaction . so rude to me? cant provide any customer service what so ever? Then she accused me of a paperwork that I had in my purse? How could I have that when everything was layed out infront of there Vice Presidents desk after the 10th times I told the financial Service Advisor ( Amanda ) she even wrote down the transaction that I wanted done? But both of them cant do any simple transaction at all? I cant believe the unprofessional conduct of there Financial Service Advisor ( Amanda) yelling at me because she cant do her JOB? After she wrote down what I wanted after yelling at me as if she absolutely has mental issues? She still got my transaction wrong and I had to got to there Vice President to address this d*** issue and fix a simple transaction? This location should have been the one closed and I will call to address this issue further! Please dont bother going to this location that have no idea what customer service is suppose to be and where you cant have a simple transaction done with out being yelled at as if you have to teach them there jobs and also to be professional to customers when its there fault!! I was so disgusted with this branch office !! I hope this gets corrected and dont accuse People whats in there purse when all the paper work is layed out by me on your vice presidents desk ! This location should be shut down with all the mistakes being done!!! I vote to close this down and bring lynnhaven back...

They down the bank location that close and most convenient to me. I do not like driving in downtown Norfolk or driving to Virginia Beach just to get money out the bank. I am considering getting another bank account with someone who has more convenient locations.

Worst union branch I have dealt with in Virginia Beach. Was charged a 7 dollar fee to cash a a check that none of the other branches have ever charged me and I cash a check from the vendor once a week. When I told Samantha that I have never been charged this fee she called another branch and asked them if they knew who I was and didn't even explain her reason for calling. Then proceeded to take her time and search the vendors account before cashing my check and tried to say signatures did not appear to match from previous checks that were “printed†which I had never received a printed check from them ever. She made the whole process very complicated and was very rude, if you have to chose a union to go to in Virginia Beach I highly recommend the Hilltop location where you won't have to deal with bad attitudes and fees that clearly aren't enforced across the board.

The staff is very friendly ( I became work bf for one of the associates! :) in all seriousness, they have great customer service, they go above and beyond to help you with your accounts and they don't carry random fees for everything that you do. Downfall is they do not have a ton of ATMs and the ones they have are still a bit dated compared to their more well known competitors. But if you want a local banking experience, you'll get it here.
