Took advantage of a flooring sale the estimator came out didn't really tell us anything. Could not provide an estimate and added a bunch of charges that had to be manually removed. They also did not call us with an estimate we had to go there. There flooring installer is Romanoff renovations and that has not been a pleasant experience either.

I purchased a grill from this following Home Depot in Virginia Beach instead of the company doing they due diligence they sold me something that I didn't purchase. I took pictures the day I was in the store of the grill. And I purchased a grill that needed to be assembled and never been removed out the box. unfortunately they sold me something a grill that was trifling bang up, paint, pollen , and absolutely dirty. Be careful and aware if you ever have to shop this Home Depot because management is deceitful...

This store location never has construction carts available. All of the carts are used by store employees that leaves products on carts so customers can't use them. There's been multiple times I go into the store and can't find a cart and have to leave to go to another store.

Home Depot is ok to go to as long as you don't need help or have a project you are working on. We went there to have storm doors and exterior doors installed. In order to get that done we have to have measurements taken before we select our doors. This is beginning to become an all too familiar story. I don't know if they don't pay attention or don't listen. Either way it's unacceptable. The low rent contractor called me about 10 mins at the end of their two hour window to inform me that they would not be here on time. No surprise there. They also said they were only measuring storm doors because that's all that was in the system. Absolutely not what we made the appointment for. I tried to call customer service to get it fixed and they forwarded me to the store. I asked to speak to a manager to fix and they forwarded me to doors. Of course no one is working there today. Instead of forwarding me back to a manager or anyone, they send me to a customer service survey and then hang up on me. There is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. I ended up just going into the store and getting a refund. Leave the professional work to the professionals. No more low rent companies or contractors for me. Definitely taking Home Depot off of my list. I recommend you do the same. Time to send them a message.

The staff here are always eager to help obtain the needed materials for any projects we do (decks, additions, renovations, or simple maintenance items).

I know, it's sometimes hard to give 5 stars to a store that everyone goes to out of need - that need for that caulk or bolt or light bulb to replace a burnt out one. Sometimes we don't think about customer service at a place where necessity drives the customers to the place, rather than whim or special occasions such as a department store or a fancy restaurant. And most of the time people just are happy that a store like Home Depot just has the item in stock. But I've had a couple of incidents where the service has been wonderful so here goes my 5 star rating. One night at around 8:30 when everyone's winding down for the day getting ready for the next , I decided it was great time to avoid the hot humid weather and the large crowds to buy bags of garden soil, top soil and mulch. Just have to get my new beds ready for fall planting! The garden center gates were closed, lights were dim and as expected, there wasn't anyone tending the garden center. I asked service desk to page someone to help me with the bags of soil and mulch. Not only was there someone who helped me load them in my cart, they even waited for me to pay for them and walked me to my car and loaded the bags - no requests needed - now that's customer needs anticipation and service! Then just last night I decided I couldn't make 4 trips to buy more than 25 bags of soil, mulch and gravel. So decided to order online for next day delivery. They indicated the merchandise will be delivered any time from 6am to 8pm. A truck came at 10:30am. A polite young man asked if it was the right address and where he can unload the items. He was very efficient, laid the bags very neatly by the driveway. I am not sure if the gentleman is a contractor for Home Depot or an employee - but service was wonderful. I recommend Home Depot's delivery service for $35 - well worth the gas, the mileage and the time it takes to go into store, have your car loaded for several trips!

This is more of a DIY Home Deport. If you know exactly what you need and where to find it, then this Home Depot is for you. Unfortunately, the customer service at this location needs to be greatly improved. Perhaps, this location is short-staffed due to the pandemic, but it is nearly impossible to find someone to help you. When you find that person, they are somewhat dismissive and/or useless. During my most recent visit, I managed to find someone who was chatting with another customer. They were randomly talking about their families. The employee clearly saw and acknowledged me, but I guess he wanted to speak more about his family's randomness with the other customer rather than helping someone (ie doing his job). Ok fine, no sweat. I managed to flag down another employee, who seemed 100% out of it. I asked my question, but he could not help me because it was not his section. He recommended that I go to customer service to seek assistance. I arrive at the customer service booth, and no one is there. After waiting for about 5 - 7 minutes, someone returned to the booth. I asked my question, and very coldly she said "we do not do that here." I was perfectly fine with Home Depot not being able to do what I request. However, the customer service employee made it seem like I was bothering her by asking my question. My fault, I figured that part of her job was to answer customers' questions. After spending about 20 minutes getting the runaround, I ended my Home Deport journey just as I started . . . empty-handed.

Went there 4 July 22, wanted to purchase window fan which web said they had 2. Did not see on shelf, went to order pickup showed lady site said 2. She was insistent that there were none in store due to inventory. She seemed did not want to check, computer always right. I asked would you please check. She says computer is probably not correct. Young man came along and asked if she could get him to check, which he did and came back with 3. Lady was not customer friendly. Guess she just wants a free check to show up, SMH.

Frustrating waste of time. I rented a wood chipper, which did not work. I called the rental department and they told me that the chipper ends up being returned about 50% of the time because it doesn't work right. That cost me at least 2 hours out of my day to run up to the Home Depot and get it, then haul it home, then find out it doesn't work right, take it back to HD, then go back home again without ever being able to use the wood chipper that I rented.
