Nice hotel, nice location, but for 3 years in a row we have had issues with their elevators. Only 1 of 3 works most of the time, so expect to spend half of your vacation waiting on elevators. The line in the morning literally goes back to the front desk. 3 years in a row is crazy, you would expect management to recognize how big of a problem this is.

We had an extended balcony and people from above kept throwing their cigarette butts, half smoke joints, and beer caps onto our floor…. The front desk staff was very rude short and not helpful at all…. For a 4 star hotel I was disappointed in how the front desk staff talked to my wife and 3yr old child…. I will be taking 2500 on to the next best thing since this was less than appealingWalkability: Don’t ask the non English speaking staff or any staff for any recommendations …. They all say I don’t know ??♂️

I showed up with my family and met my wife and kids at the hotel. We drove 2 cars to meet and our reservation did not saying anything about 1 car per room. Upon arriving I explained our situation and without even listening the woman at the front desk said 1 per room. I offered to pay for another 1 and she again gave a simple "No 1 per room". We parked on the top deck in the sun and the entire floor was empty. The manager came out and was no help either. While we we're discussing with the manager, the woman at the front desk was openly talking behind our backs about us to another employee. There was no explanation and HORRIBLE customer service and very rude answers from the manager and front desk.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past year. The most recent was April 2024 for 4 days. The hotel has been renovated and is an excellent place to stay. It provides a safe location, with great ocean views, clean/ comfortable rooms and a professional staff. I recommend it and will be staying there again.

Great hotel from the time we walked in."Andre" GSA was AMAZING. Very nice and accommodating with her tone, Attitude, demeanor and presence.The room was extremely clean with all amenities present. Lovely property.Please give kudos to Andre, housekeeping team and front office team.

Asked to have a room next to another room for my dater and they went out theirway to make it happen. I was pleased with the front desk people and the rooms.Rooms: The rooms were bigger than I thought and that was great.

Definitely a 5 after renvations are completed. I unexpectedly need a room for one night and selected this holtel SOLEY based on the combo of the Marriott brand, the price and availability. I was unaware of the ongoing renovations until I entered the parking lot. The entrance of the place was a mess, primarily b/c the night that I stayed, they were working on the lobby. The check-in staff had ZERO personality (the 4 stars was generous and given only b/c she wasn't rude. She really deserves more like a 3). I was given one of the renovated rooms...OMG, AMAZING!!! They did a fantastic job with the design/decor. I will definitely return, and highly recommend. My Cons: I wasn't a fan of how dimly lit the halls are, nice fixtures, but the passageways need brighter lighting, IMO.And, when exiting the elevators, the directional signs with room numbers is posted only on one side of the elevator bank (I believe there are 4 elevator doors...So it's a good distance b/t the 1st door and the last). Therefore, if you exit on the opposite end from where the sign is, you won't see it.I didn't try the breakfast, so I can't rate that.

No way this hotel should be open during such a massive renovation--not that you'd know, as nothing is posted on the website and they only alert you to the fact after the cancellation period has passed. The common area looks like a war zone, the TV didn't work and couldn't be fixed, and the shower had debris coming up through the drain. But they still charge a full rate and don't respond to customers.

Currently the property is undergoing renovation which made the lobby dusty but overall the location is awesome and you get the best of the pier and park.
