Office staff was great. My cat is not the friendliest and they made sure he felt safe.

They take good care of your pets but definitely not a fan of the upsells.

Everyone is always very nice and knows us when we arrive. They treat our fur babies with love and care. Thank you, everyone

Do not trust your pet or your veterinary needs to these people. I am a current military member who has had my dog going here since he was born 2 years ago on their "Paw Plan" getting regular care, tests, and vaccines to the ultimate tune of thousands of dollars. Ordered to a short fuse PCS to Hawaii I needed a simple health certificate to allow his travel and entry to Hawaii completed by his vet. Our vet refused to help despite seeing my dog since his birth and having all of his records and the obnoxious front desk clerk said we would just have to have the records transferred to another vet to do the cert-who had never seen our dog before. They were happy to push unnecessary tests and medications to make money off of us for the last two years but shrugged us off when we actually needed their help. A quick google search of vets in the area show that this is a standard and commonplace service they provide to their clients--especially in such a military heavy area with these types of transfers being commonplace. Do not waste your money here-they don't care about you, your money, or your dog.

They are easy to get an appointment with. The staff were nice. I called and got a same day appointment. This is the second time I went to this vet, once for my cat, and this time for my dog; he had an ear infection. They did easily diagnose and give treatment but there are reasons I only gave 3 star. My issue is how very expensive they are. They even charged for showing me how to clean my dogs ears $44.This made me rethink taking my pets to them in the future because I think that was over the top honestly, and it should have been included since it took all of three minutes. They charge higher than normal prices overall for total treatment and the medications. So I walked out of there paying $307 for an ear infection, 2 medications, and the assistant showing me how to clean the dogs ears. I do not blame the staff for this because prices come from the top and from what I hear this was taken over many years ago by corporate types. There is a couple pieces of advice I would also like to give Princess Anne Veterinary Hospital: Be more reasonable with the prices, do not try to squeeze money out of customers pockets for every tiny thing. Also, to all of the staff, you are pleasant but I was able to hear everything you were talking about from the waiting room concerning other clients and mishaps that were going on.

It was my baby’s first visit and it couldn’t have been better! They were so kind to me and my kitty. Friendly service, knowledgeable staff, and the care they have for their clients and their babies is evident

Everytime I go to this vet they inflate their pricing. Took my dog in today for possible ear infection. Turns out it was a yeast "infection" in her ear. They charged me $450! Take your business elsewhere unless you want to be gouged as well! Taking my animals elsewhere from now on.

I would leave zero stars if it were possible. I have never dealt with a less professional staff in my life. No longer the company they once were. We have taken our pets here for years and remained loyal throughout many changes of vets and front end staff as well. They are no longer credible. The front desk staff is unprofessional and the office manager is rude and disrespectful. He will threaten you and then hang up on you. I explained to two different staff members that I would not be keeping my appointment and I would be going elsewhere days in advance of my appointment. I then got a phone call about an hour before my scheduled appointment to confirm my arrival. I stated AGAIN that I would not be there and I would not be returning and I was told that I would be charged for canceling. I have received 4 phone calls harassing me to pay. Then the office manager calls and is extremely rude and threatens me with collections and threatens me that I will not be able to continue to see our new vet because it is a "sister vet". These people are a joke. STAY FAR AWAY!

Staff was very friendly, efficient, and explained things in a way that I could understand. They found some underlying problems my kitten was having that the pound failed to spot. Both kitten and I are happy with the service!

Good things first -Staff up front is very friendly and responsive. The vet I had met is very nice and kind. If I only had to rate for those SPECIFIC things I would rate them 4-5 stars.Bad things -I’ve never had a vet where I felt like I was a sucker just trying to transact for more goods or services I don’t need. You’ll feel this way as soon as you walk-in, products literally everywhere as if it’s a store more-so than a veterinary clinic. I’ve gone to this place twice so far.1st time - Dog needed a few shots and heart worm test. All in all, 3 or 4 shots plus the visit was over $300. They also wanted to sell me the heart guard specifically, they were going to charge either $150 or $180, I cannot recall the price anymore, but it was one of those two values. ITS $70 ONLINE! I get marking up a little because they should be able to make some money and they have to carry inventory. To literally sell for over 100% what consumers can buy online is robbery in my mind. I asked for a prescription instead. If you don’t ask, they will just sell you it and mention nothing about saving money. The heart guard is what made me skeptical about the whole merchandise thing to begin with.Second visit - a checkup for my dog over $130 for 2 ear swab checks to make sure the ear infection was gone and looked at my dog for a total of less than 1 minute. (Not kidding). $60 of the 130 was for a “ear cleaner” that I didn’t ask for, they just came out with it, labeled it with my dogs name and basically said there’s “excess debris in her ear” they didn’t actually look at her ears, they took two swabs. I told them I had ear cleaner at home and I was told, “this has keto, etc” basically an up sell technique and I didn’t want to ask how much it was so I ended up just going along with it. It was $60, online it’s $25. Again, over 100% markup. They honestly probably get the product for retail price which would be around $13. (I don’t know that for sure)All in all, I needed a vet in the area and I found them online. If you want to be overcharged on normal checkups and then sold things you do not need for OVER TWICE what you can buy it for online then go here. They also tried to sell me dog food during my first appointment which I can only imagine is also marked up crazily.I really don’t know if I would trust them if my dog was seriously ill because I feel like they would recommend whatever the most expensive thing is.If you go here, don’t buy any of their products and ask for a prescription instead, unless you’re ok with being charged over double for what you can get online.

Great hospital with great doctors and vet techs. We took our puppy for a new client/wellness exam and we were given all the information needed and he was greeted very well. They were very accommodating with the prescriptions we were using and have an online portal for easy ordering.Dr. Butala was amazing, very patient with all our questions, and answered all of them very thoroughly. She was very gentle when examining our puppy and he was very calm during the whole exam. This will be our place to go to for the rest of our time in VA.

I recently switched from another Veterinarian that I was not happy with and Princess Anne Veterinary far exceeded my expectations. The front office staff, Vet Tech, Ashley and Dr. Butala and Dr. Dalton were wonderful! I'm so glad I have a place now to take my Pups and know they are cared for.

We took are puppy here since he's been 5 months old. We were in a paw plan and always paid are bill. On June 27, our dog got ill. He was seen and continued to get sick. We contacted them to no avail on the next day. On June 29th, we asked to please come in they said no, and we asked to speak to the vet several times; they refused and the person who answered the phone was laughing at me. We asked to talk to a manager but he never called back when they said he would and, instead, left a message that he would be gone. Several times the front desk person would hang up on us just because we wanted to talk to a manager or the vet. She was mean and did not care about our pet. Monday morning, my husband called to get our sick dog in and the manager informed my husband that we were fired from the vet because I was “verbally abusive.” My husband was shocked, he said that he heard everything and I never raised my voice or used any profanity. The manager claimed the front desk shared a tape recording with him. My husband, who was a detective for 30 years, said that he wanted to hear it and he said “I am not going to let you hear it.” Meanwhile, the dog is still ill. Now, we are trying to find a vet a day before the holiday and sadly we were blocked from talking to anyone. We were treated terribly and the front desk person gets away with treating people terribly at one of there worst times and throwing the blame on us with a recording that apparently does not exist. We recommended this vet prior to people and those people are now pulling out. There is sometimes seriously wrong with a place and the people who treat animals and humans this way. My husband and I have never seen such unprofessional behavior. We want to talk to the local manager, but they will not provide any email or phone numbers. Apparently protecting the rude uncaring employee is more important than caring for our sick puppy.
