The lady was expedient and she helped me with the paperwork so it was easy to do and printed out a receipt before I even had to ask and I've had history with storage units for the past 30 years and other places may charge me a fine because I didn't give notice two weeks in advance but she didn't.

I would like to start by saying that the only thing that saved this from being a one star review is the attitude of the employees that work there. They were always friendly and courteous.
I started renting a unit for my business in December of 2023. By April it had gone up by $30, and went up again by $30 about a month later. I was not given any notice about rate the increases and since I was on auto pay, I would not have known about it if I didn't make sure to check my invoice every month. I contacted the office and they said that they don't control the rates and they would have to contact the 3rd party that handles them to negotiate my rate down. After following up several times about it, they finally contacted their 3rd party and was able to lower my rate by $30.
As part of my business, it is vital that I have 24 hour access to the unit. At Prime Storage, you cannot get 24 hour access unless you can prove to them that you are a business and then it was an extra $20 per month, which I was told has recently increased to $30 per month. I had no problem paying this, however it never worked. Any time that I needed access after hours, my code would not allow me access to the building, even though I had been assured it would. After three months of this, and multiple complaints, I had them take off the 24 hour access and refund the fees for the months that I had it.
It doesn't seem like the management particularly cares about the state of the facility. About 6 months ago, somebody urinated in one of the elevators and it took several weeks for the mess to be cleaned up. Even after it was cleaned off of the floor, the smell continued to linger for several more months before the packing blankets that hang on the wall, and had been soaked by urine, were laundered or replaced. I had to avoid that elevator and use the one on the other side of the building because the smell was so bad. There is also graffiti on the outside of the building that has been there for at least two months and it doesn't appear that anyone has tried to remove it.
The day that I put in my required 15 days notice before moving out, I started moving my stuff out. When I would take stuff down to my vehicle to load, I would close the door so that it wouldn't be a temptation for somebody walking by to take my stuff, but did not feel the need to lock it while I was at my vehicle. When I came back to my unit to get another cart full of stuff, an employee was getting ready to lock me out of my unit with a red padlock. When I asked them why, they said that it was because there was no lock on the unit and they were doing it "as a warning." On the last day of moving out, I was the only tenant at the facility and one of the employees dumped a bucket of dirty mop water directly behind my vehicle so that I had to walk through it to load stuff into it. I don't know whether it was intentional or carelessness, but either way it created a slipping hazard as I had to track the water back inside the facility onto the smooth concrete floor and very well could slipped and fell.
I have found another storage unit for $100 less per month with 24 hour access included in a more secure facility. I expect that there will be rate increases, but they locked me in for three months and assured me that I will be notified of rate increases before hand, if they do happen. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Prime Storage to anyone based on the way that the business is run and their inability to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.

I needed to secure a storage unit for a client & had initially attempted to do so with a competitor & that turned out to be a complete nightmare. I contacted Prime Storage & explained my need & situation & they immediately got on it & got me taken care of. The entire staff from the call center to the facility are friendly & courteous. The manager, Karen, has been exemplary & has gone above & beyond to accommodate me & the company I work for. My ultimate goal was to establish a relationship with a storage facility/company for future use, & Prime Storage did that with one clean sweep. They are absolutely stellar!

Staff was extremely helpful, taking the time to ensure what I needed was what I received with a great price; however, within 2 months I already received a price increase which was very disappointing!

Terrible experience. I was quoted a price for a certain size unit and no one told me I would be charged insurance on my unit that does not even cover the cost of my items. I showed up to see my unit and it is a different size then what I reserved. The elevator did not work on the side my storage unit was on. I asked about the insurance and was told after I paid that I can use my own insurance but no one who have told me that without me asking. Also it is supposed to be climate controlled but it does not seem like the air conditioner is working inside the building. I won't use Prime storage again and I can not wait until I can move my items out.

I have two units here and when I am late, they deny me access to my paid storage unit. This happened a couple months ago and since I usually can’t make it there or they are not around during their front desk hours, it cost money for gas and I had car loads full of things that I had to drive around with for a few days until they could resolve it. Since I had a traumatic experience before, I even asked the manager the day before they locked me out and suspended all my access again. She said I was good and I told her I know I am late on one but was reassured I had a grace period so not to worry.
I’ve had my lock clipped and the unit damaged by their practices of destroying a tenants property. I’ve had a king mattress stolen and my bicycle from inside the storage. They put tenants items outside and leave it after hours at their trash pickup location then
They lock the bathroom so that tenants cannot use the restroom unless they are there to approve letting you in. The hours I’ve spent trying to get through the items I had moved in a rushed & disorganized manner from my home is unbearable.
The units have increased by $80 or more each per month. (112 to 225 for the one I’ve had longer). This is financially unreasonable though I admit I never expected to be where I am and thought I would have a place by now. When I asked for a unit closer to the doors or elevator because there is no cell reception in the back and it’s very difficult for me to physically walk at times -. I was told it cost even more. I have episodes of loss of consciousness and falls so it is a safety concern.
I understand it’s a business but this is a large company whose profit is being made from the economic collapse of people losing their homes and businesses. I was a nurse and became disabled, now I’m homeless and have lost nearly everything as I fight for disability insurance coverage again. This is all I’ve got to sell and work on securing for my day to day expenses as I sleep in my car that has no air conditioning in heat advisory conditions. I’ve never asked for privileges or special treatment but there is such a thing as compassion and integrity.
