It’s like they try to force you to get their credit card just to enjoy sales. Old Navy should be ashamed.

I was the second person in line to pay, one cashier handling a return & purchase, and the second cashier was removing clothes from hangers too busy to ring in my purchase. After waiting through loooong transaction, the cashier who waited on me look mean, and unhappy to be there. Finally then she called for backup to help at register. Another issue arose when paying with credit card where they both gave me wrong information without seeking help from a manager. The white long hair girl was being particularly sassy even though she was incorrect. Even though I received poor customer service by the two cashiers working, a manager noticed my irritation and quickly wanted to figure out what happened. After speaking with manager and explaining the situation, I left feeling heard. The only reason why I'm writing this review is to commend the manager who stepped in and diffused an unpleasant interaction.

I'm luke warm on the Old Navy chain. I'm personally not a fan, but my daughter is. I have accompanied her on many occasions. My most recent was with my daughter to get clothes for camp. The store was organized, however had dust bunnies on the floor. No staff went of there way to assist during the 30 minutes plus span we were shopping. They offer a lot of variety at a more affordable price point, I give them that. Checkout was smooth, but the staffer was flat. All in all an above average visit on my daughter finding what she needed. Unfortunately customer service was below average. A 3 seems to suit them.

I was reminded why I hate going in here almost as much as Walmart. There was trash strewn on the floor. Fitting rooms were wildly unkept, filled with clothes. Everywhere racks were messy, things weren't put away, items out of place, toppled over, draped over other things. No worries! We're all short staffed. They were advertising "40% off everything" — lies, as we'll soon learn — and I had to do a return anyway, an online gift from my mom that fit kinda wonky. They wouldn't issue me store credit toward a new purchase, only a refund back to her credit card. No big deal! Policies, I get it.But then I bought 2 of the same camisole in 2 colors – one rang up $6.99 and one rang up $12. The tags were the same. They were on the same rack, well-stocked in all shades and free of stickers. I went back in to request a price change for this mistake, and someone in charge said "oh, one color was misplaced and not in clearance, where it's supposed to be," so it was $5 more. Again, it was unlabeled and since I have no way of knowing AND she even admitted their in-store mistake, it should have been (and could have been) price-matched. Alas, no. Somewhere in the vast cosmic infinitude there is a universe where this makes sense, but it's really not this one.So it's 40% off everything UNLESS: it's on clearance, it's a different color, possibly, and/or if it's marked as regular price but actually misplaced/mislabeled and you have no way of knowing that secretly-clearance colors can be almost twice the price of their twin. The second star is for the pants I miraculously found (shoved in the back of a shoe shelf) that were my size, tall, maternity, and $11. You can't beat that!My thesis: if you stroll into TJ Maxx, Marshalls, or Target, you will find cheaper and better quality clothes that are returnable new for store credit and will be price-matched without hesitation or explanation.

Old Navy always has a wealth of great clothing options at good prices and friendly staff. On this particular visit, despite the fact that the store had only just opened for the day, many of the racks were in complete disarray, with products not folded and not organized. Still, was an overall successful shopping trip.
