Place in a very nice spot away from the busier spots on base and very close beach access! The room is Cosy with a nice kitchenette and some small appliances like a poster and coffee maker. Staff there were friendly and super helpful! Ms. Elle specifically was an amazing receptionist and just all and all wonderful person to be around! By the time we left she and my dog were best buds!

Not much more you could ask for from a hotel.
Beds? Comfy.
Rooms? They got ‘em.
Kitchenette? Fully functional.
Staff? SUPER nice.
The views? Stunning.
Now…the WiFi and breakfast are currently under improvement, aside from that, our stay has been nothing but pleasant the whole way through.

I had to ask a few times for fragrance to not be used when house keeping came in, smells great, only problem is I have asthma and scents make it so bad, almost had to go to the er after house keeping used what smelled like the clean laundry fabreeze spray, smelled great, bout took me out though

Stayed here during my PCS. The whole staff was amazing from the front desk, housekeeping and maintenance. Everyone made me feel at home. The rest of the guest were kind which is a reflection of the staff”a graciousness and good attitude.

As soon as you step through the main entrance you are greeted my delightful staff members of Dam Neck Navy Lodge. Check-in is a short process. ( I have noticed they have answer to pretty much all questions pertaining to TDY/TAD/PCS sailors). The hotel rooms are very clean and have all the necessities for the kitchenette. All the linens are crisp white and all of the beds are intentionally made so tight you could put your coffee down without it spilling; even the pillows are tucked. The continental breakfast they offer is probably the best I’ve had at any hotel. They have these eggs white, broccoli and parmesan cheese bites that are so delicious. It has been a pleasure staying here thus far and I plan of choosing this establishment when traveling. The staff were saying there is a new location in ROTA with a splash pad. They are really stepping up their game.Also, there are a lot of children here. The continental breakfast is very kid friendly, even for the picky eaters. They also have nice park and beach in walking distance to keep the kiddos occupied.

I love this place! It is easily my favorite Navy Lodge in the world....and I've stayed in well over a dozen from San Diego to Spain. The rooms are incredibly spacious, clean, and quiet. I especially love the kitchen! They have a great Continental breakfast every morning. I would always get the cereal and two hardboiled eggs.The staff is amazing! I particularly love Elle Spellman and so will you once you meet her. She is accommodating, sweet, and just a lovely person who will bend over backwards to assist you. I would take a trip to VA again just to stay here once more!

I can only speak highly of this Navy Lodge. Out of many I have stayed at, this one exceeds the rest. You don't get customer service like this at any other Navy Lodge. Pam the manager is by far the best, most personable, kind person you will ever meet. Also Lo, amazing human being. She will go to great lengths to ensure her guests are well taken care of.... Then there is Elle.... my gosh.... professional, personable, and VERY hard working. The first face you see when you come in to the Lodge, and it's the amazing experience you remember when walking away. Every one of the front and back staff are amazing people and just make your experience one worth remembering and make you feel like family even if you're on vacation or going through PC's. When I return to VA, there's NO OTHER navy lodge I will stay at. Keep up the great work Navy Lodge Dam Neck.... We loved our stay!

Nice place across the beach. The hotel is clean with nice staff, free internet and coffee every morning. The rooms are comfortable and have kitchens. 15 minutes away from Virginia Beach.

Such an amazing staff. Elle, Herb, Doris and Dee. Even the housekeepers was so pleasant. If I ever go to Virginia again I’ll definitely stay here. ❤️❤️

This was a pleasure stay at the Navy Lodge Oceana-Dam Neck. Desk staff was cordial as if we were regulars. Continental breakfast was included each day of our stay and beverages were available in the mini fridge. Our two queen room included a kitchenette complete with coffeemaker, microwave, two-burner cooktop and refrigerator...pots, pans, dishes, flatware, glasses and so much more. The place was like a tiny house but with space for yoga or stretching. Friendly, clean, safe and affordable and a short walk to the beach. I look forward to my next stay there. Highly recommended.

Needed to stay here during PCS. It was great! Nice beds, very clean. Stovetop and cooking equipment was a great addition. Breakfast from 6 - 9 was grab and go. Drinks in the lobby are located in the fridge and they are free. Great friendly service. Plenty of parking. Nice quiet area. Only real complaint is that you can hear your neighbors very easily. Other than that, still a 5 star place!

The experience at this place was beyond amazing. Every staff member was beyond extraordinary. The rooms were excellent. The environment is very family friendly; i.e. clean, peaceful, and accommodating. Last but not least, the view is awesome. The beach is less than 1000 feet away walking, and there is a lake out back.

One of the nicest Navy Lodges I've stayed at. Room had a kitchenette with everything I needed. This would have been great when I stayed at the Gateway for 4 months back in 2015. Staff here was great too. My biggest complaint though is the WiFi here is a joke, extremely slow. 1 MBPS to be exact.

Doris and front office staff are very friendly. Undergoing renovations that are supposed to be complete by end of October 2022.
