Don’t call customer service. Lady rushed the call. Hung up instantly. Store is fine. But they don’t care at all about the customer service via phone. 1 star for her

Friendly staff is appreciated but were not able to respond as to why the prices are outrageous. Went looking for a suitcase and the one I liked was on clearance at a cost close to $600.00 and that is beyond acceptable. Found a similar suitcase at Walmart / Ross for $40.00.
Looking at some dress t-shirts I was taken aback at prices like $75.00 and others more expensive. These prices are ridiculous, and you claim to take care of the sailors. It looks like you enjoy abusing the sailors and extort money with these abusive prices. The NEX manager and people in charge should be fired for stealing from the people they are supposed to help.

The Package Store, skip it! The rudest people work there. They are too lazy to even help you look for a bottle. The answer is always a quick no! They also say they do not take nex rewards, they do and are just to lazy to figure it out.

There’s a lot of stuff here and there is a bit of a discount because it’s on a Navy Base. It was understaffed when I went there, maybe because of the time of day, but really it wasn’t even crowded. There’s a lot of foreigners working there, it almost felt like I was in Nam or something.

I’ve came to this NEX many times and always loved it but I experienced the worst customer service here in my entire life. I’m holiday shopping with my mother and 3 children (as you can see with 3 children shopping, we are already having a hard time), we grab the 3 things we wanted, wait in line for 20 mins being as it’s busy since many people are holiday shopping then finally make it to the cashier. We give her the items and before she even told us the price she says in a horrifically rude manner “Hurry up the line is long!”. I responded saying “that is rude..” she then responds and says “Yes I am very rude”. I take out my card to pay then she said I can’t pay since I don’t have an ID, (my mother showed her ID). I said this is a gift to my mom that’s why I am paying. I then look at the manager and she shouts to the manager about the situation and she confirms the policy. No problem. My mom has no issue paying and already had her card out to pay however at this point felt uncomfortable giving service to this woman who has treated us extremely rude by rushing us for no apparent reason and proudly agreeing that she was rude to us. We only had 3 small things and was there in front of her for 2-3 minutes so why are we being rushed and being treated this way? My mother believes she was discriminating us due to being colored people, speaking Spanish and/or had children who were already cranky. Because why else were we the ones being treated this way after all of the other customers she already helped? We did not have a large shopping cart nor were we slow and took long, so why are we being rushed?? We DID NOT end up buying anything and I walked over to the manager right away to express to her how rude her employee was. I expressed to her how the policy was not the issue at all and that my mother had no problem paying however she did not feel comfortable due to the way her employee treated us. The manager expressed that the employee is German and she talks like that and she apologizes for her however I explain to her that I understand culture as we are from the Caribbean! This is also how Caribbean people are! So being German is not an excuse! Being on a military installation, this is NOT how we represent the military. Tried to make as excuse that they are stressed and I pointed out to her my 3 children expressing that I am stressed as well! I drove 35 mins from Norfok (my home) and waited in that 20 min line to end up with nothing. The manager was nice though and apologized again and said she will talk to her employee. This was a a HORRIBLE experience that was probably discriminatory and I probably won’t go to oceana NEX again.
