Favorite local spot to park and see the ocean. I don't use it for the fitness park. I take my mom there because of the walkway to the beach. She's sturdier on boardwalk. We appreciate these amenities.

This beach fitness center offers young and old fitness enthusiasts an opportunity to challenge themselves or show off their skills rope climbing! Very nice to partake or for spectators .

Great outdoor gym for a well rounded calisthenics workout. Pull-up bars of 3 different levels, 2 tall ropes to climb, tall metal dip bar, and so much more. This is my favorite place to come workout every time I visit Virginia beach

Great place to exercise on the beach. Pull up bars, rings, monkey bars, balance bars, dip stations. Awesome for calisthenics and people seem real nice.

Very good free park for fans of calisthenics and/or bodybuilding. BRING CHALK!!!! (Or gloves)A combination of no chalk, the sand, and the hot metal tore up my hands, so bring something for that because you will need it. 10/10

This is a wonderful concept, a crossfit-like workout area on the beach. It is located a few steps off of the boardwalk (36th Street). It is a far cry from the muscle beaches that you will find in Cali. They do not have any weight equipment. They only have weight-based equipment. The equipment is decent durable and is open for the public to use. Some of the equipment includes: high bars, climbing ropes, balance beams, parallel bars, rings, and multipurpose posts. Some trainers use this area to hold some outdoor classes. One was going on while I was there. There is metered street parking and a few commercial lots within walking distance that you can park at. The meters cost about $2/ hour and the lots vary in price. I am a weight guy, but I liked this open air gym. If you are really looking for a good workout, you could park a little distance away, jog there, work out and jog back. A few final suggestions is to bring gloves. The equipment can be trough on the hands. And plan ahead. This area can get kind of packed during peak season and decent weather.
