I know asking for stamps is a strange request at 1030pm but the managers absolute refusal was a little uncalled for. You don't close for another hour and a half, and being unbothered was your only personality trait.

Deli counter gentleman was very nice even when I was confused. Stuck with me when trying to get my sandwich order in.

Popped in here after the beach 7/4/22. I was pretty sure I had an infection. Spoke with the pharmacist on duty. So helpful! It was crazy busy in there because of the holiday and she took a good 5-10 min with me. Because of her I went to urgent care and sure enough - I had an infection. Thank you for taking that time with me!

The worst spammers I've met. I looked for a local Virginia Beach area florist. Ordered, flowers didn't come, got some good in manilla that had No interest in helping me.They finally sent a piece of shit small arrangement to my beloved friends home. When she sent me a picture I cried. I called my credit cards and am reporting this everywhere. Stay away...

They are not short staffed, they are putting expectations on staff that is unrealistic. Applications come in, but the for help signs stay up bc it makes customers give mercy for their poor customer service. So many people have given me stories about how awful the service is when they're in there. Convenient shopping for locals and tourism keeps this place running, so they know they're going to turn a dollar regardless. The key here is that "short staffed" is being abused by large business. It's a mirage.

I’m an out of towner staying at a Virginia Beach rental. We came to Harris Teeter to get some supplies we needed and while shopping I noticed all the great deals. We were going to get a courtesy card to save the money and when I went to the courtesy desk there were 5 employees there and not one of them asked if they could help us. I wouldn’t recommend this place!!

We always get our beach groceries from this location as they are the closest to the beach. They have a Salad bar and also freshly made to order subs available. Boars Head products in the deli and an abundant variety of freshly prepared food items that are perfect for lunch at the beach. They had my Ezekiel Bread so all was good!It pays to be a loyalty member as with all grocery stores and prices are reasonable given it is the beach. Decent selection of beer and wine. They are busy most of the times I've visited and given the location can tend to run out of some items (i.e. deli, seltzer, ice cream). That said, you can't beat the convenience given the proximity to the beach.Employees have always been helpful and service oriented. Our beach grocery store!

It's helpful to have this Harris Teeter location so close to the Oceanfront. Best grocery store to stop at it if you're staying at the beach and don't want to drive far! Harris Teeter stores in general seem a bit expensive to me compared to places like Kroger or Food Lion and this one is no exception, but it does have just about anything you might need. My family is staying near the beach this week and have already stopped here twice in the last few days for grocery items, plastic utensils, Starbucks, and more. Today we went to pick up some fruit and while there was a good selection of produce, the berry containers were all super sticky. There must have been some not-so-fresh berries leaking into all the packages. Not the best quality control. Otherwise, we have had no problem following the layout of the store and finding everything we need. There are about six self checkout stations and today I saw 2-3 regular checkout stations open as well. The lines were not long when we were there around 2:30 this afternoon. We stopped at the Starbucks in the entrance on our way out and the barista was friendly and worked with us to get our drinks right. Check out this Harris Teeter during your next beach stay!

Well this place blows. I came with my spouse to shop for an elderly relative who has not been able to visit a store in over a year. We have been vaccinated but are immune compromised and in contact with immune compromised people and children who are not able to be vaccinated. We both mask and will continue to do so to protect people around us and ourselves. I was stunned at the lack of masks in the busy store. In a personal conversation with my spouse, I asked if he would like to wait outside because there were so many people around without masks. A short maskless woman passing behind us stopped and yelled that she has a RIGHT TO NOT WEAR A MASK AND THEY CANT MAKE HER AND THOSE ARE RULES. Like, no one asked you, Karen! I said some stuff back about living in a society and protecting the vulnerable, but I just came to fill a grocery order, not waste breath on contagious Karens. Spouse went to wait outside, I headed to another aisle. A large maskless man lumbered over with a Kevlar-vested ARMED GUARD to ask if I had been harassing customers. It was bewildering, to say the least. Picture Milton from Office Space, but less sympathetic, and a very, very large mercenary who has gone into retail LP. I explained that a woman overheard a personal conversation and started yelling at us, and the unmasked manager immediately leapt at the chance to explain Virginia Law no longer requires masks, quite passionately, and not 6 feet away from me, and with an armed guard by his side. At no point had I said anything to any unmasked people, I was doing my best to avoid interacting with them and trying to get my more vulnerable partner to go outside because we were clearly surrounded by people who don't care about protecting the vulnerable. This place is completely bizarre and just has armed guards hanging around to back up antimasker management and nutjob antimasker shoppers. This puts into perspective any one star review I've ever given before, because at least in them there were no guns involved. Damn guys, meemaw just wanted some pork chops and Fresca and y'all have to act all the way up. Like, the one star is generous because at least no one ripped my mask off and shot me?

I just wish the Staff would wear their mask properly. and why is a cashier who said she has a doctor's note saying she doesn't have cover her nose (i call bs on that) if so why is working then.

Please tell your guy at the seafood counter that it does no food to allow your mask to fall below your nose AND chin. He also repeatedly touched his face as he was retrieving fish from the case for a customer. I have observed him twice doing this same thing.

We stopped for a few essentials, after deciding to hop in the car and drive 7 hours from WV to see the ocean. We were greeted by Miss Sheila checking out, who’s big personality was immediately shining. Sheila was friendly, personable, funny and professional. She gave us local advice ans recommendations. These WV and OH girls appreciated your help and hospitality today!

I am amazed at how wonderful the pharmacy staff is at this Harris Teeter. The pharmacist who assisted me went over and beyond what any pharmacist has ever done for me. She found the equivalent of a medication I desperately need but without proper health insurance I am unable to afford the medication. I have just moved here from Nevada, my father urged me to use this pharmacy, his pharmacy rather than my chain drugstore. Thank god.....if it wasn't for this wonderful pharmacist and her dedication to helping patients I would be in horrible shape right now. God bless her....and thank you Harris Teeter for finding such amazing and dedicated employees....THANK YOU!!!!!
