“We don't get out to this Commissary very often but we try to when going further out in VA Beach. This location and the Norfolk are the biggest (probably the same size) but we've always felt this location was the best one. It consistently has just about everything we can't find at other smaller Commissaries. It's always clean and organized. No complaints, and I highly recommend it (if you're even considering another location).”

“The main focus for is price. There are online stores that I can get everything from for cheap. This place has very comparable prices, it is worth shopping here instead of waiting for shipping. They also sell items that cannot be bought online, like cold itmes. But the items focuses more around real meals, there are some snack foods, but if you only want to try japanese candies and confectioneries, go online. I was amazed at how clean and organized it is inside. I also love how close it is to the lynnhaven mall.”
“I shop here all the time! They have good prices and often have what I'm looking for. There is a surcharge but it's minimal and I still find it cheaper than most other places I shop. The staff are friendly to me and my family and I always appreciate that as well.”
“My mom has been raving about this place for a couple of months now and she really wanted me to experience it for the first time. We decided to brave the cold and traveled all the way from Norfolk to Wegmans. This place reminded me of Kroger, but better. The first thing that we saw as soon as we entered Wegmans were all of the food places (burger bar, sandwich place, desserts, etc). There is alot of fresh food and hot food there. If you keep walking further into Wegmans, you see aisles like a traditional grocery store. We purchased a couple of items. We also decided to get a large sub sandwich. I stopped at the cafe to get some hot cocoa. It is a great place to get groceries and something to eat.”

“Used to go to Walmart, but then discovered that food Lion was closer. Great selection, fair prices even though a bit higher than walmart and great deals on seasonal fruit when you have an MVP card which is free.

“I recently moved back to this area after almost 10 years. This Food Lion was not very good when I last lived here. Now this Food Lion is fantastic. The store is well maintained and staff is friendly and helpful.”

He dealt with a very rude customer that got mad over the smallest inconvenience and Patrick dealt with the situation in a very professional matter, I just want to show appreciation for him as some times people being like that can ruin someone's day or even their whole week.”
“This place is great! They always have really nice fresh flowers, cheeses, produce, coffee and lots of meat. Even freshly ground peanut and almond butter. My favorite thing to do is grab their meal kits twice a week. They about 25 bucks each and always tasty. If you are on the fence about trying the kits their chicken cutlets and salmon burgers are always tasty.
I will say pay attention to the fruit you buy there. I have bought peaches and figs from fresh market only to find mold already growing on them when I got home. So just look them over before putting them in your cart. That said their produce is usually really good.
All the staff is very friendly there. Fresh market also has meals and food ready to eat. There's a spot off to the side in the front of the store where you can sit and eat.”
“For me, I find the vegetables at Asian Grocery to be better than its competitor. Kang kong (morning glory) is one of my favorite Asian veggies and are always available. Crisp and not soggy or limp. A small grocery store but packed with variety of Asian food items. From canned, to fresh fruits & veggies, shrimp, fish, snacks, steamed buns, and snacks. Self serv and the cashiers are quick to tally up your purchase.”
“I lov shopping at LIDL. The prices are great and the variety is beyond imagination. One never knows what they'll find. The foreign foods and desserts are really fun to try out.”
“Remember when everyone raved about Farm Fresh having the best fried chicken in VB? Nah, Food Lion (this location in particular) has the absolute best fried chicken anywhere, and you won't have to take out a loan to pay for it. 8 piece is less than $10.”

“I am hooked on the somewhat freshly baked pretzels and the lidl brand flavored ice type drink that sells for about half the price of one of the brand names located right next to the lido generic brand. I like the availability of the shopping carts and not burdened by the token system. I like having space to bag my own groceries. I don't like having only one register open with five to ten customers waiting in line and witnessing a couple of staff loitering aimlessly about. If they improved the check out wait I would have rated them a 5. Not much I'm asking. Get it done I know you can do better.”
“I was repulsed by all the trash that was in the road right in front of the Food Lion ( I guess a trash can had tipped over?) but was pleased that the inside of the store looked much better. I even saw a staff member vacuuming while I was shopping. I found a few good deals in the meat section and the service was decent.”
