I'm a contractor and when I'm in a "hardware" store I'm most likely heading to work, from work or at work. I'm least concerned by all the warm and fuzzy feelings shoppers get from their favorite retailers. Home Depot is my go to choice for materials, yes their lumber mostly sucks like every other budget retailer, my answer to that is lumber order it out when the budget supports it. My point is as a rule of thumb Home Depot has a good selection of lumber and materials at a reasonable price. Their staff are reasonably knowledgeable for the wage they receive. I recommend this Home Depot.

We go to this location all the time. The people are sweet and helpful. Today we talked with the nicest young man at the self checkout. Always a great experience at Home Depot

Sorry but this is the slowest HD, in terms of curbside pickup order fulfillment and delivery, in the area.

This is my new Home Depot close to my home. Stopped in last night for some "just moved in" essentials and found it to be well-stocked and clean with plenty of people roaming around to answer questions. Easy in and out. No issues. We found everything we needed quickly.

So sad Home Depot as a company has come to this. It is not down to some locations but mostly an overall business practice now. Be it lack of motivated employees, lack of compensation to motivate workers to do a good job, lack of management or maybe just a combination of all three and maybe few more. While working on a home project I visited Home Depot at military hey and VA beach well over 100 times in 30 days. I was just too focussed on what I needed to get in every time. Only to always forget something and have to come back. Oh well. Every visit was the same, time after time. You can't find an employee to guide you or answer basic questions or help you find an item. Thank technology for the Home Depot app and how helpful it has become. When I found an employee, they all looked rushed as if they were rushing to help a customer in dire need but if compeled to stop and assist you, 90% of the time they would tell you "let me grab someone who works this area, this is not my area and I don't know" only to disappear and nobody ever come back. Worst of all is the check out experience. While this is not only a Home Depot problem I think Home Depot is the worst store where they have 10 registers (or more) only 2 open, and then the self check out area only to have 4 or 5 employees standing just to watch you and make sure you ring everything up. Why not have them 4-5 people assist customers? If you are so concerned with theft, then eliminate the self check out and have those same 4-5 employees do something other than be there shaking their booties and making lame jokes and pretending like they are not watching you while they stare at you but yet unavailable to assist you because they have to watch the registers. The loud music, excuse me, the kids speaker they have on display for customer enjoyment doesn't make it any better either. Sad. Saddest part is that I will still come back because is where everything for home improvement is at. Most of the same review could be sallied to lowes but they are not as bad as Home Depot. More than once I was inclined to ask for a manager to discuss my concerns but then I realized that either the management was part of the problem or they didn't care because there was absolutely no way they wouldn't notice these issues.

Home Depot is the go to store to get things to fix up the house. I have not come here because of how lose this is to everything. I can usually get everything I need out of here and then some. I will say the staff is not the most motivated staff. Sometimes there are a little slow to help or it takes a while to find someone in the right department. Overall they have a huge selection of things to choose from. I really like their grills. They really have a good selection of grills and wood chips and since I have a new love for bbq, I love this option. Overall this place is okay for all your home improvement needs.

If I could give it a zero I would. All I needed was help with getting a key copied and when I approached three employees standing around chatting with one another, I said "excuse me", and they looked right at me and then went back to talking with each other about a non work related topic. I told all three of them "f you guys, you shouldn't be working here". I was infuriated! I have never experienced more rude behavior and total disrespect than I did at this so-called business. I went to get a manager and that was a bust as well because I was told the manager was too busy to address my concern. Thank you Home Depot for making me a forever Taylors Do it Center and Ace Hardware customer for life! We spend thousands of dollars yearly on hardware supplies to support our family-owned business. Home Depot will not see another dime of that money and I will share my experience at this Lynnhaven store with everyone I know.

The staff is the worst staff. I rather sit in a funeral with someone I love and suffer with depression before dealing with the staff here

Just went in today to buy a vacuum that was promoted on-line for $129. First could not get the attention of anyone in the department as the 3 people were busy talking with each other. The display was hard to understand so we finally got a person to assist us. Surprise, surprise - Home Depot does not honor their online prices so we would have to pay $30 more. He talked with his manager who confirmed this policy because we would have to pay for shipping which was not true: shipping was free to home or STORE. We asked if they matched competitor pricing. The answer was yes but when we mentioned Amazon, he replied that they only matched "major stores"!!!! Obviously Home Depot doesn't think Amazon is a major competitor, well until they put this store out of business. In the time we had the discussion, I ordered the vacuum online as this will be another "brick and mortar store" destined to fail. I really wanted to give this store my business but they really didn't want it. So sorry, but everyone should know this store's policy.

if you are tax exempt it is a hassle here to get it off. we have been at home depot every day this week and have had no problem. come to this store and lady couldn't find our tax exempt number that is tied to the telephone number of our credit card holder. something that should of taken literally less than 5 minutes took forever. also need to update computer inventory literally drove to this store only because the computer showed they had enough. shows they have 28 of the item that we needed 9 of get there and they couldn't find but 4 of them. I can understand off by a few but off by 24?
