I enjoyed my stop at Cool Stuff today! It’s a lot more than just video games, but being part of the Video Game Heaven chain, it has plenty of those too. Selection was good and prices in line with expectations. The thing that really surprised me was the sheer volume of statues and Gundam models available. I’ve never run across a store quite like it and it’s cool. Given video game ownership is moving online more rapidly than some of us would like, this seems like the type of store we need to keep retro available. Board games, D&D, seemed like a decent selection as well. If I had been here a day sooner, I would have bought Ankh to play with my sons.Highly recommended for other nerds like me.

Everything is cool, as the name says, except the prices. On the higher side. However, most bothering is their 'censored' statues are in the same cabinet with others kids would be interested in. Also, the cabinets with said items are right in the open for the younger ones to get an eye full. I was a bit disappointed at that.

I went out in town today looking for wall art for my AR ade room. We went to places like Walmart target Ross a d all the art they had was too small. I remembered cool stuff carried wall posters I could frame. I went in and saw they had a small selection of posters but manged to find a street fighter and x-men poster. I was excited until I saw they were $12.99 each. I assumed must be great quality since office depot will do custom ones laminated for 8.99 each and they will do any pic not stamped (deviant art etc.) I got home and fount the corners were crushed because customers slam them back in steel racks. I manged to work them in frames but for the quality of poster the price was insane. Don't buy posters from this place. That's an insane mark up with lower quality. The store should make sure they are in perfect condition behind counter for that price. I could take them back you say nope no returns on posters. They store is great minus getting me hooked on mtg cards then stopped carrying them. Just don't waste your money on these. Other than that customer service was great store looked great. Just quality control on product. Missed it on this one guy's. I could see 8.99 not 12.99 for posters I could have gotten at 5 below.

They do not give you a good enough price for good used items! You’re better off donating it! Waste of time and gas to travel here!!!!

My fiancé and I originally loved this place. Love the extent of models and figurines and games but we did our first trade in and we were extremely disappointed. We traded in an Xbox one, along with a ton of games and were offered $180 for store credit or $120 in cash. A $60 difference, that’s a lot. I understand there being a difference between cash and store credit however $60 felt a little like robbery. When we got the itemized receipt we were extremely shocked that they gave us literally less than $4 for the Xbox one console. $4 for a game console is absolutely ridiculous and shameful. At the bare minimum we should have gotten like $50 and that’s rock bottom. It’s insulting, especially if it’s turned around and sold for over $100. Some games they literally gave us a penny. Absolutely ridiculous. This is the reason I stopped going to game stop and now it’s the reason I will stop going here. It’s a shame. Shopping here may be worth it but certainly not trading it in. You’re better off selling on Facebook market place rather than here. Less then $4 for a game console is 100% robbery. We were not given a break down of what we had received per item, if we had we would have taken our stuff back and left. Unfortunately I don’t think we will ever be returning to this store again.
