Bought a part online CLEARLY described as "silver satin". Recieved black. Followed up. Received "Parts are primed for painting. We cannot get them pre-painted." Then why not describe it as such?

I have waited quite a while to write this review, as this is a local business that I know employs a lot of good people. That said, their service and responsiveness has has been absolutely horrible despite years of effort on my part trying to get issues fixed on a new vehicle purchased at that dealership. We have bought several Checkered Flag cars over the years, and have finally learned our lesson. We have had problems with our Land Rover Defender from the time of purchase, and the dealership is not trying at all to fix the issues. I have texted or called likely 30 times over the past 2 years, including calls to Checkered Flag management and to Land Rover. No one has any interest in making this car right, and ultimately I have had to report them to the AG office and BBB.Truly brutal to be spending the time and energy on an issue that a good business would proactively try to resolve. There is a shocking disconnect between the high price of the car and the nonexistent post-sale service. We have gone to Richmond for our most recent BMW purchase and had a good experience. There is something seriously wrong with this company, that I am sure reflects the approach and attitude of ownership. Quite simply, they do not deserve your business. They have a complete lack of loyalty and simple respect for customers who have spent a lot of money at their business.

There is much improvement in this establishment over 2021. The sales and service teams are on the ball. They are courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Passing through on a family road trip down south we called this location as it was a central location. We had an emergency situation that Carlos was insanely accommodating and attentive of. They got us in last minute and had us out quickly so it didn't take up our whole day. I'm very grateful and wish we had this kind of customer service at our Land Rover location up north. If I lived in VA I would take my car to be serviced here regularly.

I purchased two vehicles from them around the same time and never again. I'm not sure what is going on with this dealership but they need to get it together. Cars are super filthy upon delivery. I had to pay $100 the day after delivery to get the vehicle cleaned which is ridiculous. Land Rovers are top of the line vehicles but the Virginia Beach location is not good for the brand.

Their website states that they go "above and beyond".... which is a lie. My seatbelt in my 16' Land Rover malfunctioned. It wouldn't work at all... The reel completely stopped working and I was unable to wear my seatbelt. I had to wait 1 1/2 MONTHS for someone to check it. After my appointment, I waited a week for the part to come in, to then be told that I had to wait ANOTHER ENTIRE MONTH to get it installed. I've called to all reps, called the general manager, and opened a case with the corporate office. I understand that appointments are booked, but this is a huge safety issue and no one at this dealership cares that I've gone two months without the DRIVER SIDE seatbelt. I'm highly disappointed and I'd never do a customer like this. I almost forgot to add that my seatbelt has cost me over $700 thus far, not to include the installation fee of about $200. Almost $1000 for bad customer service.... shameful

My experience with Diamond at Checkered Flag Range Rover was very good. Diamond did an excellent job, making me feel very comfortable. Diamond demonstrated all the features of the car. I would highly recommend Diamond to anyone who's looking for a high end vehicle.

."Because you expect the best from your vehicle, we know you expect the best from us."(This is the statement on your website. )The Range Rover Sport is one of the finest cars on the road. Unfortunately, this dealership has lost their way.Im not sure what has happened to this Checkered Flag Dealership. What I have experienced has been incompetency, lack of follow up or follow through. The service managers(last two) only give excuses. Excuses that I should never hear ,especially from someone on the management team.I am picking up my car tomorrow, and caution anyone that needs their Range Rover worked on, to find another place.

This is the worst dealership on the planet. I shopped my vehicle online. I came in and knew the exact vehicle I wanted and the price. I asked diamond if I take off work can I leave with the vehicle today. I then explained this was my birthday present and I was leaving to go to New York in a couple days to celebrate . I immediately starting texting the information she needed. I left working, had my boyfriend stop working to get my trade together. Got to dealership completed all paperwork. We were told they were detailing my truck. I am super excited . They come back and say the vehicle has to be inspected. I traded a fully loaded 2015 Cadillac coupe ats. They brought up a 15 vw base model with a dent in the back. So I'm trying not to get angry. I'm like ok guess ill get it tomorrow. Nope three days later after I had to come down in person it was somewhat ready. The management explained that no car is ever ready to drive off the lot. My trip party canceled. My guest plans canceled. I was given zero compensation. I was actually told if I didn't want it they could easily sell my vehicle to someone else. I absolutely love my truck but the level of service and appreciation is non existent here. I hope this place learns to be honest. Thanks for ruining my birthday present .#checkardflagofvirginiabeach

I honestly had a terrible experience when it came to the financing portion of the process. They ran my credit 4 times. I do appreciate getting me a good interest rate however Aran told me I HAD to get the extended warranty or the bank wouldn't finance my loan which I then went and talked to the legal office on base and they said that is a lie. Kevin was the original person to do the finance paperwork and he messed up the vin number and the price of the vehicle when I went home and looked over the paperwork I realized it was wrong and took a picture and sent it to diamond. She said we will fix it and then never even pulled the loan application then it took over a day to hear back from her to come in to sign new paperwork then I had to show up on my own because she never wrote me. When I took it upon myself to come in after not hearing from her or anyone at the dealership they already sent in the loan information to the bank. Then I sat with Aran and he told me multiple times that wrong price was the correctPrice when diamond emailed me the price of the vehicle along with tax,title, tags price and ended up having to draw up two different contracts after the original I signed because of the price of the vehicle. I never once tried to haggle the price or anything the price Diamond gave me was the price I was good with paying but multiple times they changed the price of the vehicle and tried to make me feel bad. For the second contract the price was off by about 400$ and Aran wasn't even going to give me the page with the breakdown of numbers he had that in front of him and gave me the pageTo sign. I asked for the page with the numbers and he made a snide remark like oh your going to go through it with a fine tooth comb this time and laughed. And good thing I did because the numbers were STILL wrong and he was like well that's the price I can sell it for. I showed him AGAIN the price that came from checker flag of the vehicle price and at first he said no he can't do that. And I said well That's the price checkered flag gave me! And I wasn't going to budge he finally gave me the price that diamond gave me on the price sheet in the email. But he told me I needed to email him the price sheet diamond sent me so when he handed me my phone back from looking at the price sheet diamond emailed me the email was deleted. I'm not going to say he deleted the email but it certainly feels that way. This was all yesterday l. Today I go into the app to start my car and I have a notification that says my car needs to be serviced. Already? I just got it Tuesday and it's Friday and needs to be serviced? This is bad customer service and bad business. At this point I don't think I would do service with checkered flag again and I would not ever recommend anyone else to as well.

I understand that the garage area gets busy. And I say that to say, I am very happy that they fixed all my issues and very well. But I was a little concerned about the length of time they had my car. I dropped it off on a Monday morning, it wasn't ready until that Thursday at 3:18. I really didn't have a problem with how long it took, I had an issue with not knowing how long it was going to take so I could make proper arrangements on my end. I ended up having to leave my car until Saturday because I had business to attend to and we live in NC. We really need better timelines. But I will say this experience was 10 times better than the first. A sincere thank you too; the service department, the assigned agents in the garage and the sales people who answer general questions! They made the experience pleasant.
