What a nightmare. Every interaction I had tryng to transfer an IRA from a decesed relative into an inherated IRA in my name was horrid. The Senior Relationship Banker was unaccommodating and could not answer my questions without "doing some reasearch" and calling me back; which tookhours/days. I am looking forward to moving this IRA to a differend bank so I never have to interact with Truist again. If a half star was avalible I would have used it.

I've lived in the neighborhood right next to this Truist bank for almost a year, and have tried it once based on the reviews (2.5 on 6/4/22), and the reviews hold up - I wound up asking for my card and license back so I could go to the Truist on Greenbrier where they have been doing a fabulous job since I moved into town. In fact, as I write this review I am currently at the Greenbrier branch where they are fulfilling their service without treating me like I'm stealing my own money (shoutout to Rosalind at the Greenbrier branch for not being incompetent, dishonest, nor rude! You were efficient, and made it the painless experience it should be!). It was as simple as handing over my Truist card and license, asking for a cash amount, and the friendly and jovial Truist employee (Rosalind, NOT Dorothy, Dorothy is at Kempsville and was no bueno) fulfilling it. For the Kempsville employee at the drive thru this morning (6/4/22) at 10:45 [Dorothy], you conducted yourself without professionalism and with dishonesty, and offered no accountability. I am troubled that you are allowed to be involved with personal account information, especially considering the reviews for your branch. You embarrass a bank I've used for over 2 decades.

Not impressed. Not sure if its the branch or the bank. Had fraudulent activity on mother's account (I'm also on account). Account was frozen for money going out, but allowing deposits. Was told I needed to open new accounts, but my POA needs approval. The 1-2 to day approval process is now taking 5-7 days. So no access to our funds over a 3 day weekend and the Truist merger isn't helping. Representative said he tried calling me, flat out lie, no call in my call history! Time to close accounts and move on.

I needed some savings bonds cashed. I was turned away from the BB&T ranch at 1433 Kempsville Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23464 because they couldn't be bothered to assist me. Went to another branch and they took care of me right away. I've been a customer over 20 years and this is just another example of how the service has done nothing but get worse.

I needed to withdraw cash because we were taking a plane out of town the next day. The male teller says my ID was expired. I saw that it was but I had I idea it had expired. This teller, even though he knows me by name and I come in there all the time, refused to give me the cash. That is a first class j****

Worst bank ever stood in line to cash a check that's all waited 30 mins and left. If you don't have anything to do in life maybe I would suggest but if your like me and have a busy life style and running a business this place isn't for you. I will never come to this bank again
