Based on this rental experience, there are many reasons why I would not recommend Avis to a friend or colleague. First of all when I arrived to pick up the car at my scheduled time (1 pm, Tuesday October 3), I was told that they did not have the car that I had made a reservation for (full size). The manager said that the only car that he had was a mini van. I told him that is not the car I wanted and he said that’s all he had. He said that a couple cars would be turned in later that afternoon. Since I needed a car and didn’t want to sit and wait for something to be returned, I took the mini van and agreed that I’d call back later to see if I could swap out the cars. I got in the dirty mini van and there was a yellow microfiber towel still in the car. I also noticed an odor of smoke in the car as I started the car. Once I turned the car on, the tire pressure light came on, and indicated the right rear tire pressure was low. After I went back in and told the manager, he said that’s all he had and got someone to put some air in the right rear tire.Once I got home later that afternoon, I called to see if anything else was available, and after multiple attempts to call the office number, the manager picked up and said that there were multiple extensions and no car was available for me to swap out.I called the next day (Wednesday) same thing. Multiple attempts to call and once they finally answered, the manager told me that no cars were available.The next day (Thursday), I tried to call and nobody answered, so I went to the office and same thing, nothing available.I returned the mini van on Friday and the entire time I drove a mini van that smelled like smoke, giving me a headache the entire time.One thing I saw was that when I picked up my car there was a Cadillac Escalade that was there on Tuesday when I picked up the car, and was still in the same place on Thursday and Friday when I went to the rental location…I guess there was something available.

Today we pay for rental car but when we arrive he says that I forgot to call you because they don't have available car. If you don't have available car why is it seem on the online it's Ridiculous! . We pay to come over to Avis location. İt's wasting money . My recommendation is Do not rent car from avis anyone who wants ...

Our confirmation got messed up and our drop off location was different than originally selected. This part is on me, but after seeing the correct location and hitting confirm, I assumed it would be correct. We talked about dropping the vehicle off on in a different location and the person helping us didn't say anything. When we returned the vehicle I stated the issue with the website and the person helping us stated that it defaults back to the same drop off location "to confirm that's where you want to drop off". I'm not even sure what that means. She basically stated that it changes your drop off location whether you want it changed or not. We will not be using Avis again.

I rented a car at the end of may, returned It June 4th I believe. June 28rh they charged me for pet cleaning of 450$ even though no pets were in the vehicle. I called their customer service and they said they couldn't find any proof and would issue the refund. Come July still no refund and when contacted again they can't find the charge!!!!! Took my money and haven't heard anything about getting it back. Be very cautious with this company.

Staff was nice and gave me my choice of cars in my class. I wish i would have inspected the cars before deciding. The car reeked of cigarette smoke. Had to drive it 6 hours to attend a work conference and I had to put my luggage in plastic garbage bags to prevent the cigarette smell from soaking into my clothes during the ride. I ran an ozone generator then aired out the car before departure which helped, but as soon as you close the windows and park the smell comes creeping out again.Once someone smokes in a car you're never getting the smell out again, so I can empathize with the staff since there's really nothing they can do about it. however, I think that this is something of a health concern particularly if the renter has asthma or allergies and they should have to disclose this fact before renting the car. It's also annoying to see warning stickers all over the car threatening a $450 cleaning fee for smoking while driving in a car that smells like smoke.

The manger has been at this location to long!He has no respect for customers. Thinks he is above Avis policy. Lies, gave me a truck without working wipers. Also with check engine light on.I will be reporting his actions to the BBB and have escalated my complaint to Avis.I can see from all these complaints I am not the only one. I would recommend using another avis location.Never did I ever....

If you're looking for any sort of customer service, go else where. I witness an employee yelling profanity at a customer, which was not warranted.

The employees are nice. Drop box and drive through area is in bad shape. I dropped my keys off on Saturday but was charged for the whole weekend because of Easter, a holiday I do not recognize or celebrate. Bummer

Tried to give me a car that was so filthy and fish odor. The lady knew it smelled bad and still tried to rent it to me. She didn't care at all... all she did was blame it on the airport. You have to inspect the car before renting it out so she knew it smelled bad.
