Avis/Budget needs to clean house of the horrible employees working there. Rude, lacking common courtesy, and sorry but DUMB! Plus was given car for two state over 1000 mile biz trip that had Need Oil Change light on and was told to ignore. Erika and Jason, Justin or whatever the heck his name is get ZERO stars for how they treat customers. Will never rent from any of your branches again and will tell everyone how awful your company is!

The lady Erica who works on the Virginia Beach Blvd. was very nasty and unpleasant and almost knocked my child over when went inside to get assistance and claim they didn’t have a car when I clearly claimed the reservation and seen it

Someone has stolen my credit card number and rented from this location over the past weekend. When I called, the employee gave me a telephone that did not have voice mail and hung up on me. This location received over $400.00 in revenue at my expense. Calling my credit card company doesn't make things better as those funds could have been used for other purchases.

Erika is perhaps one of the worst agents ever. My daughter's car rental experience turned out to be terrible. First - they waited an hour to get their car (and they had a reservation). Then Erika treated her like she was doing them a favor by actually giving them a car (which was not the one they wanted - Erika gave that car to a customer before them, who hadn't even rented that class of car). In the end, Erika also dropped the ball on adding the extra driver, and managed to decouple my daughter's prepaid toll option - which ended up costing her a lot more than anticipated during the trip. Perhaps a new customer service agent would be a good idea.

Lady at the front desk was extremely rude. Pulled money off my card then said they have no cars.. that’s understandable but then wouldn’t provide any information about the money they pulled or how to get it back. Go somewhere with better customer service

My husband and I made a reservation online and when we showed up Erika was so rude. Soon as we came in she said "last name? yeah we have no vehicles available today" with no eye contact and without a care in the world. She is only kind if you kiss her behind. Shame on this establishment, if you are in charge of the front counter you should have an ounce of customer service skills. That employee but such a bad taste in my mouth that my husband and I will never rent from this company ever again

Horrible experience. I made a reservation and received a confirmation immediately. I arrived within 30 min after paying $20 for an Uber and the very rude lady at the desk said she didn't have a car. Supposedly something in the "fine print" said it was not guaranteed. Then why give a confirmation?? It should say pending. She tried calling a different location. I heard her tell the woman she had other cars - I'm sure all upgraded. She didn't offer any to me. Acted very bothered and wasn't the least concerned I now had to find another ride to get to another location. I didn't read the fine print. I accept that. Avis fix your reservation process so confirmation aren't given. It's an hour later and I still haven't received notice a car is actually not available. And teach your employees some manners and customer service skills. No more Avis for me.

Went to pick up a car today and even though we prepaid online for the reservation, we needed to still put another $250 security deposit down. Fine. We gave a standard debit/bank card and the card machine wasn't recognizing the card. The lady at the counter swiped it numerous times but it still wasn't working. Apparently, the only option is to swipe. No option to use the chip function or input the card info into the system. So without another card to use, we had no choice but to walk away and not get the car. It blows my mind that it's 2023 and you have no updated card system to get around issues like these especially after we had already paid $400+ online. The customer service woman working there was not very helpful and didn't try to help us find alternatives. Won't ever be getting a car from here again.

If I could give this place a negative star I would. The company as a whole but an insult to injury this location and the lady that answers the phone doesn't know how to speak to people. We rented a van from this location and the gentleman who helped me when I picked it up was so so kind. 4 days into our rental out of state we were in a roll over accident and it became a game of being ping-ponged around by the company and was then told I could get a replacement van in (Montana) which was a lie and was told I needed to call the location I got the van from and I did and Erica I think her name was less than helpful and kept over talking me and cutting me off as I was just trying to ask clarification questions about the process and who I need to speak with. I will never ever rent a car from avis budget ever again in my life. Best part of all this is budget tried to charge me almost 300+ for gas in a totaled vehicle that the gas leaked out of from the wreck.

Erica at this location is very rude. If you have any issues just avoid and call customer service. Manager Kathy was informed but seemed unconcerned.
