This place is a joke and having to go out of my way to leave a review shows.
Started out wierd but tried to work thru the problems.
Eventually they just didn't want to do real work and i assume can not compete with all the other bigger name dry cleaners in the area,
There are better out there,
Clothes never smell clean leaving here either
Stay away!
They are not disabled friendly either
Tried charging for unloading vehicles,
Lastly the bill was never the same or what was expected, alway had an excuse to change the amount.

I have never had stains on my suits as difficult to remove as I did recently. I needed the suit cleaned by the next day after bringing it in in the afternoon. Not only did they turn my suit around by the morning, they also fixed my lapel roll, which I had no idea dry cleaners could even do.

Please take heed to the previous reviews that note the unprofessionalism, rudeness, and lack of tact that the owner of this business displays. I have never been so disgusted and disappointed in my life. If you value the quality of your items, stay away from this place of business. It may not happen the first, or second time, but your items WILL be ruined with no remorse.

It's a blessing when your neighborhood dry cleaner is only walking distance away and consistently provides excellent service, and persistently offers courtesy and professionalism.Plus, they give you free hot beverages!Love the owner Bobby, who I regularly see in the morning and is consistently upbeat and encouraging. He's also communicates well and will tell you upfront what can be done, what can't be done, and what will take a bit longer.And I love the closer Arelle, whose smile has eased the sting of bad days at work when I pick up my shirts right before 6 pm. She is very polite, very professional, and very personable.In my experience--and years-long relationship--with them, I am more than satisfied with their service and their staff and that's why I keep coming back.In my book, they deserve 5 stars and an A+ rating!

I brought my wedding dress here in May and called twice to check up on it. Each time the employee said that they would call when it was ready for pickup. I decided to stop by in Sept to see if it was damaged or lost, etc. since it had been so long. It was "cleaned" and ready. When I looked closer, there was still grass on the bottom of my dress... when I showed the employee she acted like it wasn't there and called the owner. The owner said the dress was so dirty and it would have taken awhile to get everything out even though when I initially brought it in, he was the one that looked at it and said they could clean it. Horrible customer service and way of doing business, just save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Did a great job on the suit, ready when promised. Dropping off the staff wasn't particularly friendly but maybe just having a bad day. First time going there so first impressions do matter.

Ruined my suit days before my wedding. Was brand new and now I'm left scrambling to get a new tailored suit in 3 days.Told them multiple times that this was for my wedding. If this is the care they take for that, then good luck with anything else.See pictures below:Tons of bunched presses on the pants/jacketBurnt though the material to the stitching on sleeve and pant legsPressed too hard over inseams on jacket.White shirt pressed extremely poorly.

Would not recommend. Robert the owner was very rude about Avalon taking much longer to clean a wedding dress than stated. They did not offer a discount for the long overdue service. We will never use them again.In fact, the dress was completed in 101 days, so 11 days beyond the 90 day window. After about 60 days, I stopped in and the employees said it should be ready in a week. So a week later, I checked in and they said yet another week. This occurred three times. Then when I called after the 90 day window, Robert said the dress would be ready in a few days and that the dress was not late because it was within the 90 day window, which it was not. I asked what made this time any different than the previous 3 times the employees said it would be ready soon. I genuinely wanted to know before I drove out to the store to be told it would be another week.When I picked the dress up stating it was late, the employee automatically stated that it was not late and for me to check the 90 day policy. Much like Robert, she did not even think to check if they were beyond 90 days.Normally I would give a grace period for something like this, but not after I was shoe stringed along about when it would be complete. And then to have the owner tell me several times that they were still on time and get short with me, is enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth. Perhaps a "sorry we are running a bit behind" would have been enough. Therefore, my review stands.Service: Wedding gown cleaning

I hope this review finds the owner, Bobby well. I dropped off a bridesmaid dress to be steamed a couple weeks ago and was hoping to pick it up tomorrow. Are you open? The wedding is on Sunday. Anything that could be done would help greatly! My family and I have used this cleaners for the last 2 years and they're the best and super affordable!

Do not use this place. I dropped off a $350.00 down feather mattress topper on July 6th 2022 at holland cleaners in portsmouth. I was told it would be ready for pickx up on July 13th 2022. I show up on the 13th to pick up and was told it’s not ready but it’ll be ready on the 14th. I came on the 14th and was told that it’ll be ready on the 15th. I came on the 15th and was told it wouldn’t be ready until the 18th. Absolutely not! At this point i lost all faith in this place. I asked for it to be returned right now whether it’s ready or not. I was then told its not even at this location and if i wanted it, i would have to drive 35 minutes away and pick it up in Virginia Beach Avalon cleaners. I didn’t drop it off in Virginia Beach. I drive there to pick it up and the old man that runs this place was EXTREMELY rude. If you want to fight and struggle to get your items back then use them. If you don’t want the hassle then please find somewhere else.
