Was very interested in the floor plan and location, however after reaching out it looks like the decision is made for us.I asked for pictures of the actual unit instead of the show unit.Essence has yet to reach back out to me in regards to this.After reading all the terrible reviews I would suggest everybody stay away from this property.

When we came to the site driving in looks beautiful and clean, and I really enjoyed the place. Everyone was really nice and helpful.I really like it there it's nice peaceful and I hope we can move in and be part of the community. We just moved Virginia Beach and need to find a nice place to live where I can walk my dog. The dog park omg loved it

Probably one of the worst places I’ve lived so far I’ll start this off by saying my heating and ac hardly ever work during the summer it would be 80+ degrees indoors and it would take them weeks to come and look at it and now that it’s winter time the ac unit has broke again. My lease is ending and I’m convinced they’re never coming to fix this problem since I’m moving .The apartment has been no warmer than 49 degrees at night. Now I would like to explain the insane amount of water bugs we have around the property I understand living in Virginia Beach the water bugs are always going to be a problem, but to have your house infested with them every summer, sucks. Thirdly I like to say there are two ladies in the front office that id like to say have been absolutely terrible at their job. The lady that sits in the front office is extremely rude even if you ask her a simple question. Last time I talked to her she kept saying “I just said” to me like I was incompetent of understanding her even though I just could comprehend why she was being rude . The Second Lady I’m guessing is the manager and she’s always clueless of what’s going on even though her job title is very specific as the “manager”. Next I’m want to talk about the maintenance crew the two people who I never see doing anything but are always the busiest The older gentleman I only ever see doing donuts in the golf cart and picking up trash around the neighborhood.next I would like to go on and talk about the running toilet I’ve asked to be fixed 4 times, the standing water in my dish washer that’s be “ fixed” more time than I can coin , the broken door knobs that they keep having replaced instead of the actual corroding door, the windows that don’t have a proper seal, and the black mold they tried covering up with paint.

Essence was efficient and very welcoming. We have issues with the heat, the blinds falling down on us, and there is standing water in the dishwasher.

Very easy to apply online. Staff was very friendly. Apartment complex is clean. I am very pleased with my experience finding an apartment.

There were two ladies in the office, one was nice, the other had an attitude like we were bothering her. The apartments were nice but too small for us. As we have 4 grandchildren and the jet noise is too much.

My maintenance guy Mr. Marty is the best maintenance personnel I have ever known. I haved lived in over 20 different apartments in my life and my management office and maintenance personnel are the best. N came and put my drawers up my kitchen is complete and she fixed my dishwasher I'm whole again. I love the maintenance team here. They are so important to our community Thank you N for all you do for our maintenance needs.

It was a great experience leasing here I simply was so pleased with the staff Essence and Gina they really helped me out and gave me a great rate I will definitely recommend all my friends and family to 226 oceana apartments

I lived here from August 2022 to September 2022.The place is smaller than you would think and not only that, but there were roaches, even on my walk in on the day I moved in there were roaches.There were a bunch of issues from windows being broken and couldn't be closed all the way to, a large hole under the sink that they never came to fix.Our water heater would be leaking periodically, our bathroom had black mold in it.Not to mention the horrible community (shootings, planes flying above apartment nonstop, homeless asking for money at entrance and the ground being covered in sewage water or some weird green water.Save yourself time, and never rent here.
