Dog-friendliness: Lots of people walking their dogs on the trail. We appreciate the supply of poop bags in the park but would like to see at least one or two receptacles along the trail so that you are not carrying the dog's waste with you for the entire trip until you return back to the park.

Wonderful place to take the family, just watch the road in some spots to make sure the little ones stay safe!

If this place had a plumbed restroom I would give it 5 stars. The location is stunning, the creek is shallow and clean, the playset is well maintained with a good layer of mulch, and there's a pavilion with lots of tables. There's also a baseball diamond, basketball courts, and tennis courts that seemed nice as we passed them but I did not inspect them up close. Definitely a location we'll come back to.

I wish we had a county that promoted such nice green oasis near our house! Roanoke county offers much more than York County, VA for those looking a safe place to ambulate without fear of becoming "road kill" from having to walk in sidewalk less neighborhoods. Sad for those of us in Yorktown ) : lots of "Store-mores" though, about 7 with in a four mile radius of my residence. oh, and where are the bikeways? Wish we had the outdoor friendly county governance Roanoke had

Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but I was practically dying of hunger so I popped in. The definitionof a hole-in-the-wall. I got the regular hamburger and wow... there are no words. A classic burger done right.Crisp bun, juicy patty, stuffed with all the essentials (ketchup, shredded lettuce, tomato, and pickles). There'sabout a million options available between the menu board and wall full of specials, so it can get a littleoverwhelming, but you really can't go wrong. Not much else to say besides go see for yourself! You won't bedisappointed

A great family park with mostly unpaved trails of varying levels of difficulty. There's a playground, a parking lot, a tennis court, benches, bridges, and other amenities. Did I mention streams and wild animals? Yes, them too!
