County rebuilt the 700R4 transmission and took great care of the car. We took it to its first car show in over 9 months, it shifted amazingly. The service, communication, and outstanding care was superb. They went above and beyond and will definately get our service, if needed for any of our other vehicles. “I'm a long time Mercedes driver and a car enthusiast who is very particular about cars. Sometimes even too much particular :)
For years I was looking for a good and reliable place to service my cars. I tried all big name Mercedes dealers in the area. And I have a ton of stories. The one in Tyson forgot to tighten my oil plug and I had oil all over the motor compartment. The one in Chantilly damaged my car while working on the alignment. The one in McLean over tightened my parking breaks that cooked my rotors. The one in Bethesda once returned me a car with no coolant in it, and tried to charge me for some motor oil additive that they added without my consent and that is not approved or recommended by Mercedes another time. And I can continue even further and further.
Bottom line, I was looking for a reliable service that knows Mercedes cars and can take care of them. And I'm glad that I came to Silver Star!
To say that Peter knows Mercedes is to say nothing! I think he knows them all better than his own kids. :)
He told me all about my car, my motor and possible issues and risks specific to my model year and this particular motor. And he knew it all by hart.
Apparently I needed to take care of one issue that was emerging. I would not say that the service was cheap. But it was really reasonable since they needed to get inside my car's motor. It was really not bad.
But what I got at the end was a stunning result! My car, that now has 90K miles on it run like brand new again. Perhaps even better than new. The motor started working much smoother and acceleration become really instant and inspiring. I took it up for a long ride and it put a big smile on my phase yet again, the same way it did back when I drove it from the dealer lot first time.
I think I've found a place where my car will be serviced form now on and I'd say that I can trust Peter and his crew hands down.
It's obvious that mechanics, like all of us people, can make honest mistakes, but I can say that Peter and his guys stand behind their work.”

Tony, the owner explained a critter had gotten into my hood and chewed some wires and only charged me a couple hundred dollars for the repairs. He is the first honest repairmen I have found since I moved back to this area. Because of his honesty, I was able to afford some more work.
