Having supported this business for years this is a hard review to make. But at some point, principles have to align. I have spoken to the owner/ manager several times over the years about his choice to sell Sadaf brand products in his store while claiming to be a halal store. A brand that proudly supports the Israeli military and their actions (the owners have said this publicly several times) should be a deal breaker for any business serving the Muslim community.Decided to try one last time today and was given the same tired old excuse that he wants to keep business and politics seperate as of he doesn't have the voice to shop with other wholesellers and brands. He does and chooses not to.Do not shop here if you are consciously shopping within the BDS movement.

The girl working in there put 7 pickled vegetables in my bill and I just got 2 of them. I caught them right away and they refunded the money. They have done the exact same thing to two of my family members and if you read their reviews they have done the same thing to other customers as well. One or two times might be accidental but when it happens several times it’s not an accident. Sooner or later they will get caught and they have to get punished for what they’re doing.

I love this market. Kebabs are great. The old school Turkish coffee memorable.

This place is a disaster. From the owner to each employee that works here. Avoid this place at each cost.

Being a traveler this was one of the days where I felt lost and alone. It was my first time in Virginia, I was confused and disoriented on where to find some kabob to get the energy I needed to survive the day. I googled Kabob near me and landed on this Gem of a place, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I walked in. It took me a total of 20 minutes to control my happy tears and finally order kabob and the owner told me this is his secret recipe. It was like a burst of heaven in my mouth with each bite. I bought groceries, food, and some home decor it was the real Persian Depot. I love Shiraz market and will recommend to all of Virginia I hope one day they cater the Supreme Court.

I bought frozen Burek in Shiraz and after I got home and opened it it was completely full of mold. I went back to the store to replace it and even after showing them the receipt they refused to exchange it, saying that I didn’t buy it in their store. I am completely baffled that they would treat a regular customer like that. Even with the proof of receipt they kept insisting that I didn’t buy it there. Needless to say I will never go back to Shiraz store again.

I was a bit disappointed because we were waiting at the register for a while before anyone came. They have a decent selection of vegetables and basic staples. It doesn't compare to the larger markets. The woman at the counter packed everything together in the same bag... pastries packed with cold meats with candies. I had to ask for a double bag so I could separate them later. Nothing packed with care and slow service. Too many options for Persian groceries and I probably won't go back unless this was the only option.

This super store is a disgrace to the Iranian community!! The shelves are unorganized and dusty. The floor tiles are ripped apart and dangerous to walk on. The meat department doesn't seem hygienic. The owner needs to work on improving this business otherwise he will soon be forced to close it down.

Small businesses are measured by their ownership and management. Shiraz market is run by an amazing family. Farshad and Mahnaz are wonderful people. When they took over Shiraz market they transformed and revived it. It’s a great Persian grocery store ran by great people.

Terrible customer service!!!!! I have heard from multiple friends how they don’t trust this store for selling old food(pastry and meat) yet I was giving it a try. I bought the pastry and Saeed ” the manager” told me specifically the pastry is “Always” fresh and made yesterday! Had guests come over and they both told me that they are not shocked that it does not taste fresh (the cream was sour) and it is old!!! Came back to the store with the remaining pastry and told Saeed about this and instead of an apology or being helped he said “ You are the first person saying this and I wont give you a refund nor give you another fresh pastry instead” Terrible customer service!!! Just save yourself the headache of buying anything from them!!!

My card got stolen here! Pay cash if you go.I never liked this store. Way too overpriced and not clean. But it was convenient and I was ok with that. Yesterday I used my card at this store ( this is the only place I used my card) and my card was stolen right after. My bank told me the issue was with their card reader and confirmed it.Out of courtesy I called the store to let them know about my experience and asked them to look into their reader for the safety of their customers. The manager was so rude to me and got so defensive when I told him about my experience and hung up on me!That’s why I chose to write this review because apparently they don’t care to fix it. If you have to shop there, pay in cash!Hope it helps
