Great veggies fresh from their farms.

The good produce is in the back and reserved to members. The items they had at the front of the shop were not inviting and the prices are not accessible.

This place has been around forever. I love to look and see what's out when I drive by. I like that there is a place like this still with all the building over the years.

Are you going to be having the vegetable and fruit stand in McLean this year ? We have gone there for years and stopped by this past weekend and didn’t see any signs or anything.

Won't be renewing CSA next year. Ordered vegetable and egg CSA. Went to pick up first week at farmers market. Apparently they don't do egg CSAs at farmers market- despite having sold it to me.Wrote to their customer service asking for a refund. Got back a very rude and nasty response. They also said their was a note when I booked it. I remember their being notes about not being able to pick up things like flower shares, but did not read one about eggs. Maybe I missed it, maybe it wasn't there- I don't know. But I do know, I didn't deserve the rude tone that Hana used in her response. They shouldn't make it possible to buy something they don't actually sell. They also had 4 months from when I paid to see if there were customers who missed their note and reach out to cancel their subscriptions. They did not.All they had to do was say, "sorry about the confusion. We tried to let people know via a note. Here's your refund." But instead I received snark and rudeness. They've lost a repeat customer.

Very fresh, good quality ,fresh and very affordable. Farmers are very welcoming and warm. They take time to repond to questions and share recipes. The fresh chicken flowers and honey are atvthe top of the list of my favorites.

Two stars for the very nice workers who did their best to assist during my visit. Sadly the variety and prices were disappointing. I expect farm markets to offer fresh produce AND good deals. This was too pricey for me. I won't be back.

It doesn't get more fresh, local, or environmentally responsible than this. PVF grows most of its produce on-site with an ecoganic (think "organic without the certification") technique, and, where necessary, works in concert w other local farms to procure and sell other produce or fruits and even eggs, flowers, meats, and cultures. Their prices reflect more closely the actual cost of growing plants to produce food as opposed to the mono-crop, soil-degrading, pesticide heavy conventional produce we're used to getting at our standard grocery store. To be sure, it's more expensive, but for the "dirty dozen" (or for those w more expendable income), it's strongly recommended.

Love their farm stand; was in the area a few times last year and stopped by to check them out. Also got fall pumpkins (early on in the season) and they last a long time. Produce was fresh and staff were friendly. Reasonable prices as well. I'd imagine it'll get trickier stopping by this season with all the construction but next time I'm in the area and they're open, I'll be ready to grab some goodies.

I always have fun seeing what they will have for sale. Their over-ripe tomatoes are a good deal, especially if you like making you own sauce, though I've cut them up for salads as well.Their veggie share is nice because you can show up whenever on your day and pick out what you want. They will sometimes even have some fun surprises, like pickled beets.

The staff is always very helpful and the produce fresh and tasty. It's nice to be able to buy eggs and baked goods there, too, depending on the season. Occasionally in the summer, they sell floral bouquets.
