Awful experience. Location rented a filthy car with body and mechanical damage at pick up. Bad customer service. Reserved car type not available. Location had no printer to print the contract and note damage. Told me sorry car is dirty but they have No car wash to wash the car. Parts of undercarriage were hanging off and touching the ground. See picture. One tire was at 25 psi at pick up. Inside still had contracts from prior rentals. No one bothered to clean inside either. Promised to replace the car but no callback. Tired of waiting on hold.

Jessica is amazingly kind! However her management is terrible! After 2 days of tying to get into a car, I canceled my reservation. Nobody was there to help Jessica.

This place is a complete scam. Do not go. They will quickly tell you any excuse to vehicles are unavailable but happy to take you money. It’s very sketchy as well. Stick with the airport.

Even though their terms say you can cancel up to 24 hours before picking up the rental vehicle without being charged a cancellation fee, I canceled my reservation greater than a week before the reservation rate and they charged a $50 cancellation fee. I highly recommend going somewhere else where they honor the terms of their rental policy. Filing a report with the better business bureau now.

I am a presidential circle member and I reserved a van for a business and family trip for spring break. Twenty minutes before I am supposed to pickup Monday morning I got a call saying my van is not available and basically they had no cars. I ask if there were a van at other locations and after 15 mins I got a call back stating there was no vans. They offered a med SUV but it will not fit six people for the trio. I had make a new reservation and it cost me over 1,300 dollars while my original hertz was about 600 dollar called at least four times to talk to the manager or return my calls. I never got a call. I will NEVER rent for this location again! It is an embarrassment to Hertz to have a location like this. A few of my company and friends have canceled their Hertz reservation due to my experience.

THIS LOCATION IS CLOSED!! My reservation told me to return my car here, but it’s been closed for months. Hertz made me drive 30 minutes to a different location. NOW IM GETTING CALLS FROM HERTZ SAYING I DIDNT RETURN THE CAR!! DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ!

Paid for an upgrade to an SUV as the desk agent ensured me this would be a bigger vehicle than compact. I paid, and was given the qorlds smallest SUV, smaller than any compact car in every dimension. This was dishonest.

I made a reservation to rent a cargo van from your Vienna, VA location on 9 April to pick up on 6 May and return on 8 May. I called the main corporate number on 4 May to confirm, because the location was not picking up the phone and I was getting an error code on your website. The customer service representative at that time confirmed the rental, and I received an email reconfirmation. When I arrived at the rental site on 6 May to pick it up, there were signs on the door that the location had been closed for weeks and would not open until 21 May. The two local numbers listed on the door did not answer, so I called the main Hertz toll free number. The customer “service” person told me that the location was closed and no van was available. He tried two other area locations, originally quoted me a price that was 50% more than I contracted for, and then after 20 minutes more on the phone told me no vans were available at all. He offered no assistance, and no apology. I asked to speak to a supervisor, was placed on hold. I hung up after waiting 10 minutes.I made the reservation on 9 April because I needed the van to pick up my son from college 4 hours away. In the event, I was unable to rent a cargo van, and had to use a much smaller vehicle. I was unable to fit everything in my sons room in that vehicle. You failure to not only alert me in a timely fashion that the location was closed was bad enough, but Hertz TWICE CONFIRMED the rental on 4 May, long after the location had closed. This shocking negligence on your part caused me and my family significant emotional distress.I would like to know how Hertz intends to make this right.

I need to speak to someone regarding a rental from April 1 - 6 rented from a location in Vienna, Virginia. This entire experience was a spectacular failure. Every single thing that could go wrong went wrong. It started when I picked up the van on April 1 at the Vienna, VA. The location is not accurately listed in the address. There is nothing saying the location has no sign and is inside a hotel. I drove around in uber for over half hour trying to find the location. I called the location and it rang and rang and rang. No answer. After a half hour of continuous calling and recalling your employee sounded completely shocked that he should pick up the phone. When I finally found the location, I saw with my own eyes, the employee ignore a ringing phone, pick it up and hang it up. Upon returning the vehicle to the Reagan Airport location, the vehicle would not fit in the parking structure, with the car being too tall. I immediately called the location and there was no answer. I called literally 20 times. I was driving continuously around the airport with no idea what to do. I called your customer service number and it was all automated with no option to speak to anyone. I had to call nearby locations in a panic on what to do. Thankfully, a location offered to let me leave the car there and drive me to the airport. I am absolutely appalled by your lack of customer service and company standards that allow this to happen. I plan on sharing this terrible experience on social media and all rating sites. I'm not looking for anything for free here. I genuinely want you to be aware of this experience and how distressing it was for me.

I have rented from this location for the past four years and usually receive excellent customer service. However, the quality of service and vehicles has greatly diminished. Prior to the pandemic, I was a President's circle member and I currently am a Five Star member: I rent vehicles a lot. I chose this location for my insurance replacement, instead of Enterprise as suggested by my insurer, and was met with a disgusting vehicle (pictures attached). The vehicle had exterior damage and was extremely soiled in the inside. I asked for a different vehicle, but was told that there were none, which was false. The associate I worked with had a very indifferent attitude. I had to expend time and money to go to a different location for the insurance rental. They have unfortunately lost a loyal customer.
