“As previous employees of DT and former locals of Vienna, my opinion is every DT is resourceful for lower class/houseless people. However, please be careful! Vienna is NOT that hospitable! We already tried temporary residence here (11/20-3/21). Even with the owner’s permission, the locals will make it hard on you to no end, until it reaches the mayor (Linda at that time). The property isn’t coded for any residency or outdoor recreation, there’s no getting around that.

For everyone’s safety who owns a vehicle, watch out for your vehicle/belongings when you’re parked by the dumpster/back end of the Plaka and pizza place! They caused so many problems; from throwing things at our van, to making false police reports on us. God only knew what else was done because we were too poor to have cameras 24/7!”

“We were in the area and decided to drop by. Found everything we needed and then some. There were quite a few boxes laying around but a lot is happening at the Dollar Tree. It's also the Holiday season. The store manager, April is the sweetest. She is so humble and took the time to have a conversation with us and had a lovely sense of humor. Made our visit that much better! Overall, I'm glad we got a chance to visit while everything is still $1. Prices will be going up soon.”

“Honestly, it’s a major hit or miss if you’re searching for specific items or types of items (protein bars, hydration drink mixes, light bulbs), but overall this Ollie’s has a huge variety of rotating items. The store is reasonably well-kept and the prices are great. Staff are helpful.”

“I love this store and I am always shopping there, the staffs are great, welcoming, but the manager always having an attitude. Not only me many of my friends have been there and always having problem with her. If you ask for something she never come to show it to you and she always tell u or it should be somewhere there. Always having and attitude. This is the only issue we have with this store and I hope someone take action to fix this problem because she will loose customers like me.Some of their prices are over priced too.”

“I was in the area today due to my husband going to the medical center and getting his eyes dilated. Thus, it was possible that I may be the one driving home. Anyway...while he was at his appt., I decided to walk around the shopping center (FairLakes Promenade). I had seen Home Sense before but never got around to checking it out. Finally, got to do that today. At first glance, it looked like it was a furniture store. Yes, they have lots of furniture but a deeper look showed there was so much more. There are towels, bedding, kitchen utensils, household cleaning items, rugs and decorative items. My intention was just to look not buy. However, when I saw the food items, I realized that I needed a shopping cart. Things that caught my eye...imported pasta, pasta sauces, spices, sweets and a cleaning formulation for shower doors and mirrors. Truthfully, there were other items that attracted me but I exercised will power. For example, I saw a lovely vase but my sensible side said "we don't need another vase." There was artwork but sensible side said "We have enough of that and only so much wall space". When I went to check out, the cashier was friendly. I found out, when he tried to get me to sign up for a credit card, that they are part of a conglomerate that includes TJ Maxx. No, we don't need another credit card! My haul ended up costing $35 plus change. Once we were home, I showed my husband my haul. He asked what it cost and was pleasantly surprised. Aw, gee! I'm so proud of myself :D So, no regrets for paying Home Sense a visit!”

“My experience today was nothing less than amazing. I needed to do an exchange and Angel and Keyshawn (sp?) were amazing. They were so welcoming, kind, professional and made me feel good. I really appreciated their warm welcome as well as their help with the exchange. I will definitely recommend this location for 5 Below. I will come here again because they have amazing customer service. “Really like this location, they have a wide variety of things. The only downside is that the store can be a bit trashed..but I don't blame the employees. It's really the customers. Please watch your children and be considerate of the work the employees put in to try and make the store look decent. I've worked retail, it's not easy keeping a store clean everyday from customers.”

“Please seetotal 3 photos. This is one of two bottles bought yesterday 11.10.23 Friday in this dollar tree store, which is an Oak Beverage, another is Almond yet not try. Only half bottle left but the remaining are full of thick stickying liquid. Not only this drink was tasteless from the first sip, but keeps going. It doesn't taste like a pure plant-based drink it labeled, rather a drink seemed full of seeming thick-water-some like. Was it actually filled in a lot of something else or..., otherwise why half bottle are all the thick stuffs?Remember yrs ago, bought a couple of soy milk bottles from an Asian small market who carried its all soy by-products from a manufacturer in PA, got home to drink it immediately then smelled something weird and discovered its thick and stickying liquid like this Oak one but more yellowish from the very beginning of drinking. Immediately called the small market and addressed the issues. Brought the bottle back to show them: they all were convinced, the owner and the employees! Agreed with me that they needed to be careful for carrying products from that manufacturer meanwhile tightly controlled their products channels and supervision in apply on manufacturers. They also at once refunded me not like before they were so stingily for refunds. From back then of now on, I carefully never bought any Soy Milk from that brand of manufacturer except tofus!They actually added overdoses of PRESERVATIVES!This Oak maybe that Almond, both from the same manufacturer used UHT for this solid drink not preservatives? “This is a brand new Five Below in a great location beside Trader Joe's. The store is large, clean, and tidy. The stock seems a bit more picked over than other Five Below locations, but that might be because this one is busy. I used to think of Five Below as mostly a kid's toy store or novelty store. I'm not sure if their inventory has changed overall, but now it's more of an all-around dollar store with a focus on kid's products. This is a good thing, because sometimes I'm looking for something random like a new lanyard for my keys, or a dog toy, or a nail file. Five Below has all that stuff plus an assortment of other home stuff. Definitely check here for affordable holiday merchandise. I got a cute Halloween shirt and a fun giant tinsel candy cane, each for $5.”

“As far as Dollar Trees go, this is probably the best location in the immediate area. The selection is always great and the shelves are pretty well organized. For some reason, Dollar Tree stores have a real challenge keeping shelves organized, but this one does quite well in this regard. The biggest challenge area is the toy aisle, but even there they have a big selection and it's better organized than most other locations. I drive about 20 minutes to get to this store and it's always worth it.”

“The best dollar tree I've been to. While I wouldn't say it was particularly tidy, it has a wide selection of candy, snacks, Black hair care products, decorations, and home goods. The older Black woman (maybe late 40s early 50s) was very lovely and kind.”

“My favorite DT location in all of Northern VA! I never realized how much I appreciated this store until I moved away and the ones near me are honestly the worst. Now I drive the extra time to come to this one because it is always clean, stocked well, and organized. The staff is nice and always willing to help. The only down side is things do run out super fast (even more than others) because become come and buy it out in bulk. But I wish other DT stores would be more like this one! Good job Dollar Tree in Burke!”

“This store is in Fairfax and is part of a national discount chain brand. The store offers products at lower prices since it purchases excess inventory from other brand retailers and sells them to consumers at significant discounts. The store is quite spacious and well-organized in each section. However, during my visit, I noticed that some products needed to be better arranged and appeared cluttered. This detracted from the overall shopping experience and made it less enjoyable than anticipated.”

“the best plato's you'll find probably in a 20 mile radius. this corporation (in so many cities) struggles so much and typically has a scam-like process in selling clothes. the little things however do make a difference. for one thing, being greeted upon walking in was a plus and great impression. The staff acknowledging and being attentive to service is great as well. you have some great front desk girls that smile and also present the store well. I was quoted a fair wait time for 2 large bags of clothes. when i returned it was seamless (there's a counter dedicated for pick up, drop off, etc) it just seems a lot more organized than the Plato's i have experienced. I always think the outcome of going to Plato's however is unapologetically disappointing, considering i had very new-like items, some with tags, and only got $30 from them for like 6 items. It does make you question their judgement because from a consumer side, i never actually FIND anything here. so it's like your just accepting whatever, not the newer better quality and brand items that belong in a second hand thrift store. Let's be honest they've always had poor judgment.
But the woman who checked me out was nice, everything was put together and I think i would return in the fall/winter at my next closet detox.”
