A beautiful independent bookstore in NOVA with all the vibes you want as a reader/writer/general book enjoyer. I love the location and how they decorated. The layout allows you to browse different genres at your leisure; the highlighted staff picks they had were especially fun to check out. And everyone was so friendly! I look forward to returning.

I really hate to leave such a negative review, especially as this is a small business. However, I purchased a book from Bards Alley 3 months ago and it never arrived. I called discussing the lack of delivery, and it's been two weeks and no correspondence. I had to dispute the charge as there are very few excuses after this much time. Again, I wish I didn't have to leave a bad review, but I think it's important to be honest and transparent about a bad experience.

There is nothing better than a neighborhood book store. They didn’t have the children’s book I was looking for so they ordered them for me and called me when they arrived.

Bards Alley is my favorite bookstore. The staff is always friendly and helpful with great suggestions. The children's section is excellent, and they have a good variety of genres available for others.

There are several bookstores closer to me (independent and B&N), but I drive the extra distance to this one because of their excellent selection, especially of works by women in translation and sci-fi/fantasy. They also have a great children's section, and the staff is always helpful with suggestions. Definitely my favorite shop in Nova!

There are so little actual book shops that aren't a Barnes and noble and this small shop is amazing. The staff are so kind and are quick to recommend great reads. It's a wonderful atmosphere within as well.

Super cute independent book shop with some fun displays and accessories. The Google search for used books popped up but they don't carry any used books. Most of the authors are generic nyt best sellers so I do wish they'd have more diversity and variety to offer but otherwise a solid option for your book buying needs.
