The food is fresh and delicious. The Brussel Sprouts is great as is the fish and chips. Ask for sweet potatoes fries which is an option instead of French fries. The Cobb salad with salmon is fantastic as are the chicken pot pie and chicken piccata. Service is friendly and attentive. Cozy pub atmosphere is wonderful especially if you sit near the fireplace. Ask for the Pub Bread..it's worth the carbs! A great place to gather.

My girlfriend and I had lunch at the Hunter's Head Tavern. I had the Fish & Chips with a locally crafted root beer. Very good. My girlfriend had the Build - A - Burger and unsweetened tea. She enjoyed it very much. The Mushy Peas were pretty good. For dessert, I had the Chocolate Chocolate Cake. My girlfriend had the Boysenberry Pie. The desserts were very good. The atmosphere was neat. Just like stepping back in time. Our server Krista did a great job.

Exceedingly fresh, simply and expertly prepared, healthy meals. We ordered the pot roast and the chicken pot pie with puff pastry. The vegetables in each were fresh and absolutely NOT from frozen. The beef and chicken (and other proteins) are humanely raised and organic at Ayershire Farm. The portions were ample and more than enough. The food is high quality and a good value. The atmosphere is utterly charming. Will ABSOLUTELY be going back...and often.

Ordered Eggs Benedict with crab, arrived with no crab. Notified waiter who returned with the most magnificent sauce boat full of crab and some mayonnaise. Why should I have to request what was listed on the menu......rip off. etc. May or may not be returning. Your regular crab cakes are the best in the area, but not to be on Sunday!

Their reservations were full but, after a small wait, they were able to accommodate my party of 2 as another couple was leaving. The wait staff were very attentive and the food was amazing! Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The Brie puffed pastry as an appetizer was warm and gooey. Their pub side salad was perfectly blended with the dressing and reasonably sized. The pot roast arrived in a small Dutch oven with everything very savory. The trout (which I've never had before), grits and brussel sprout meal was buttery goodness!. Not pictured was the grasshopper sundae, which was also wonderful. The Cabernet Sauvignon I had was delicious as well; very smooth.

Hands down the best chicken Piccata I've ever had...and I've had it many places. My husband had the stroganoff....equally excellent. This place consistently has the best English pub fare with fresh ingredients and great staff.

We had a delightful dining experience at Hunter's the The service was friendly and prompt. My water glass was never empty. I've had several delicious meals here. The Cobb salad is not the typical Cobb. It is not overwhelmed by the usual blue cheese .My friend requested salmon instead of chicken and it was cooked perfectly. Another guest had beef stroganoff and thoroughly enjoyed it. The chicken piccata was flavorful and tender. We started with Brussel Spring and everyone loved it. I've had the trout and it was fabulous. The ambiance was warm and inviting, especially if seated by the cozy fire. Remember to ask for the pub bread. It's crusty on the outside but soft and warm on the inside. Definitely worth the carbohydrates! A warm, friendly casual gathering place for all.

Home away from home. This is probably more traditional in appearance than many of the pubs in the UK.The food was hit and miss. The French dip sandwich was great. The burger was sloppy and had a grainy texture to it. We were also served a chocolate covered strawberry sundae which was supposed to have hot fudge sauce but instead had Oreos, mint chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate sauce. The waitress assured us this was in fact a strawberry sundae. Finally the sticky toffee pudding was stodgy and sweet but a little dense compared to puddings in the UK.

Our group of 4 all enjoyed the fish and chips. They are as good as the fish and chips anywhere. The house chips are the best. They accommodated my request for cocktail sauce with a special house blend that was outstanding. Great food and great service. We'll be back.

The Brussel sprouts are fantastic as an appetizer. The Cobb salad is outstanding as are the Fish and Chips, beef stroganoff. chicken piccata and chicken pot pie. I've also had the trout, which is also delicious. So fortunate to have such fabulous food in Western Loudoun!

We visit this restaurant regularly. Given its location, there's really no direct comparison except for some very expensive alternatives. They are friendly and always seem to have a steady crowd. Their food is good, but not as good as their higher-priced competition. Their attempt to be a British-themed gastropub comes off very well. They are also very consistent. If you're in the area, I'd recommend it. There's something on the menu for everyone.

I had the chicken pot pie, but I came for the shepard's pie. Really missed this not being on the menu. Otherwise everything was great! Introduced a couple friends who were like “how did you find this place?” It shouldn't be a secret, everyone should come to dinner at Hunter's Head Tavern - it's like coming to grandmas for dinner. Love this place!
