We just had the second round of shades from The Shade Store installed in our newly built home. We worked with Donald at the Tysons, VA store and can't say enough good things about his designing skills. He listens *very* carefully to what you say you want, and shares ideas and suggestions that are well-thought out. We struggled with how to control the sun on two sets of French Doors to our patio, and after meeting with Donald at the store we continued the discussion through email. Those shades were installed today, and I must say, he scored a bullseye with them. They are the perfect resolution to our problem while looking downright classy. We've got nothing but good things to say about the folks who come out to measure (detail-oriented!) and installers for both visits were fast, efficient and extremely pleasant. My suggestion? If you want things done and done well, call The Shade Store!

Too bad you can't give negative star ratings. The worst experience. Overpriced and poor quality. I've had three technicians measure and get the measurements wrong every single time. It takes forever to get the Shade store to agree to send new 'correctly' measured shades. Now there is a recall for a motorized shade I purchased but was never installed because it was measured incorrectly twice. The technician showed up and didn't have the replacement part and said he was only there to replace the living room shades for the third time. Called the store and they are clueless. Don't know what recall I'm talking about. Takes 10-12 days to schedule another install. Save your time and money and find another store.

Mandy at the Shade Store in Arlington, VA was wonderful. She was so patient and knowledgeable with a great sense of design. My installer, Andre, was skilled and very professional. I am thrilled with the results!

My original post of 10/7/21 follow up.Eventually l , received my blinds on 10/20/21. Despite of promises by John Rivera, and Collin Dunn, to compensate for my wasted time. They are not respond to my phone calls or emails. What a customer service!!!Aram M.

Never judge the book by cover and this is true. The store is good, nice products but in the end the service HORRIBLE! What they promised to give customer service since 1945 is BS! Wish I see the review first in here before we make a purchase with them. We placed an order on July approximate and until now we don't have our blinds. We start the process with them on July and until now we don't have blinds. Here is some issue that I'd like to share:1. The day when they'd like to install, they don't give the motor systems that the sales person promise us (it's old kind of style that you found on not upscale remote control car for your son). What we promised is USB kind of chargeable.2. We have to wait new motors come, while we waiting they gave us some credit. The new motor come and the shipping label is on Sept 23rd and arrived on our house on Nov 16th. I'll attached the pictures when the replacement of "new" motors from them. This company think just because they already give us credit so they just give whatever they have in stock! and the motives to do the right thing after customer bring up the issue is NONE. When we called them no one higher level like manager want speak to us, that's showed what kind a company is this, don't want take responsibility!3. They set another schedule to install and we assume they will bring replacement of "new" motors that they promised BUT NOPE, the installer came with empty hands.4. When I communicate with them through email to them the situation, they want us to return the old motors and ask us to wait the new one (we attached the picture to them) and they'll send the new one and I said NO! And all motors there's date information from last year, we assume this isn't new motors first of all and they rushing it put in the box, if you all see the picture below, do you think that's how the new products came from factory ??? (my family works in factory before NO WAY THIS IS CAN SEND TO CLIENT) plus bubble wraps ??? 5. Now we still waiting for what they promise to us on Nov 2 or 3rd. 6. Never from them to approach to us to give the update BUT we're the one have to do that! This is not how you treat customers specially you the one who make a mistakes. Let's all of us have some issue with this company bring this up to higher level, tweet it, IG, Facebook, google review (what I saw back then in google is LIE) and put the review everywhere as much as you all can! They want pushover us to accept it and deal with what they give to us. Don't give in all! 2 options for all of us either we cancel it or keep fighting! My suggestions email them instead of phone call so you can keep it track and have proof even though we all still have to call them in some point.

I've been waiting for a quote on blinds for my bedroom since the 18th of June, I emailed back asking for updates and left a voice note and now one responded. It almost felt like I was begging for one.
