Shinola watches are beautiful, however I was not pleased with the staff's knowledge of the products in the store. Especially since Shinola is primarily a watch company, and I was asking about watches. Specifically, when asked about their Runwell 47mm watch in gold with white face, the individual that was helping me had very little knowledge of watch movement or jewels or any of the inner complications of the watch. On top of that, Shinolas' lifetime warranty doesn't cover much at all. Standard service is $25 in addition to what needs to be fixed or repaired. The warranty does not cover the strap, the clasp, buckle, or drops, etc. So then why is there a warranty? The parts are Swiss, but there are also parts from Thailand, Taiwan, and China. Nothing wrong with that, but for transparency, I believe that these details should be stated up front and made readily available without having to search for them. Their quartz movement: argonite 1067 is basically a Ronda movement. Also, $25 to send the watch in for basic service like changing the battery. When you can simply buy a battery and replace it yourself, but if you do that, you then void the warranty. So basically you have to waste not only money but time paying $25 for a less than $5 battery and having shinola send out your watch for a battery replacement because they aren't able to do in in store. I am really disappointed ? ?.

I made a purchase earlier this week. Najla, the salesperson was terrific. She spent as much time as I needed and did not rush me. The store was busy and I did not feel neglected. When I did not want the item that I initially came in to see, she be offered alternatives, and ultimately made sale. She followed up with a thank you email several days later. This is customer service. Oh by the way, my new watch is fantastic and I have received many compliments.

Nobody answers the phones! Had a minor question to ask before I visited, and was ready to spend over $1k but nobody answers the phones, so I’ll look elsewhere.

Google hours state a 10am store opening time. 10:35 on a Tuesday and still not open? Beautiful store, but if you don’t “open” until a later time, update your Google listing!

I never understood the fascination with this brand. Then I was in Detroit on a business trip and decided to take in their "main" store. WOW! So cool. From the bespoke bikes in the back of the store to the embossed stationary to the warm customer service, I WAS SOLD. I was in the Tysons Corner store with my second Runwell Watch to have the battery changed and to have the band monogrammed. Foster, Zara and Aya took such great care of me! I had my watch in a matter of 2 weeks good as new. I LOVE IT! You have earned a lifelong customer! If you're looking for a place that will make you feel taken care of, look no more this is it! Thank you again!!!

customer service leaves a lot to be desired which is sad considering the price point they're trying to move junk quartz movements at. After being ignored and sticker shock I'd highly recommend you skip and look at an entry level Longines automatic. close to the same price and a much better heritage.

Love this place. Everyone on staff is so welcoming and truly cares about providing an awesome customer experience. They always have items in stock, sometimes even items not available online.

Shinola watches are fossil watches marked up. Their quality is poor. I got a watch and wore 4 times and now looks bad as the metal band is just painted. Many better brands at the price level.

Shinola products are fantastic quality and the staff in the store is very friendly. My ding on a perfect score comes from the cost of the watches they sell. I have no doubt in my mind these are fantastic, high quality watches. They import parts or all of the movement from the Swiss. But to charge $600+ for quartz is insane. I am all for buying American made but spending $600-$800 on a $200 quartz watch? I'm not pulling this from a Chinese competitor. I'm comparing them to true European watches that cost a fraction of this cost.

What a great store! It had vintage style watches, clocks, turntables. The staff was excellent. They let us listen to records and gave us a free shinola cola!

I've been to this store numerous times and I've received exceptional service every single time. The associates do not hover over you while you shop yet are very helpful and hospitable when you ask. The associates do not treat you as customers, more like guests. They made my purchasing experience very pleasant and I will certainly be going back!
