My experience was in Maui, excellent customer service; not sure if this part of the island survived the fire.

I've purchased Na Hoku pieces for decades but never expected to be treated the way I was treated last month. I brought in a pair of earrings I'd owned tor about 7 months and worn three times. The post had broken on one of them and needed to be resoldered. We no longer had the receipt but I was told over the phone it would be no problem. I was then met w/ suspicion and the cold shoulder once I entered the store. No friendly greeting, no apologies that this had happened to a piece I'd owned a very short time, just apathy (and snobbery). I was told they'd send it back to headquarters and that they'd determine if it was a manufacturer issue (it was) or if I would owe $25 for the pair. I was charged, and again met w/ coldness once I went to pick them up. My business will now transfer to Maui Divers and other retailers that have pride in their product and respect for their customers. On an interesting note, not one of the four women in the store was wearing Na Hoku pieces, clearly no appreciation for the business they work for or the culture.

Here is how it works, you pay a lot for this beautiful piece of jewelry which you love so much that you wear every day and eventually a grm or a inlay falls out you contact them for the lifetime warranty and they tell you it’s your fault that the gem frll out because you wore it too much you shouldn’t be wearing your jewelry constantly so they determine it’s your fault it fell out and you have to pay to have it repaired. This is happened to me two different times on two pieces. I love the pieces but I can assure you I will never buy another piece of jewelry from them for this reason

I wish I would have read some of these reviews before buying a ring from Na Hoku. I bought the Celestial Lapis Inlay Ring and after a few times wearing it, with very gentle use, the top of the ring just fell off. I've never experienced this kind of flaw in workmanship and design, and certainly would not have expected it for a ring that costs $1000. After reading the reviews stating jewelry was lost, I'm quite concerned about sending it back to Na Hoku. I'm also wondering if it would just break again, as I think the top was just glued on to the ring. I'm considering just taking it to a local jeweler to get it fixed, so I can make sure the repair lasts.

I was on a hunt for a specific spec necklace (18K Gold necklace) and Na Hoku had the one I wanted. Breanna was of a great help. She was patient and professional. They had one of a kind jewelry that was hard to find and none of their competition had anything remotely close to it. They wrapped my gift and it looks amazing. I can't wait till I present it. Thanks for making it a great experience for my first jewelry purchase.

I've been to many branches and this one is my favorite. We walked in babbling about a stunning pair of earrings that we'd seen in Hawaii four years ago, but that we'd been told by other managers had discontinued. The lovely sales ladies went into detective mode however, and going only by our description, sourced them in Philadelphia! Even though it was the holidays, we had them in just a few days. Best service ever, we're so happy ? Thank you! ??

Editing my review down from 2 stars to 1 because of the generic response to my review by the jeweler 1 year after leaving the review. I've been in the store twice and called them. The only thing they can offer is to ship the ring to Hawaii and hope I get the same one back 6+ weeks later (which I would never do based on other reviewers not being sure if they received the same ring back).Original review:It is now the last week of November and I was in this store in August to buy my wedding ring. Was advised to go up a size instead of down a size because they didn't have my perfect fit. Fast forward 3 months, I get married in the beginning of November. Wear the ring a few weeks and realize it's too large. Falling off my hand in my pocket, every time I wash my hands, etc. It's uncomfortable and doesn't look right falling off my finger.I go back to the store to look at my sizing options and the only thing they tell me is that I can send it off to their main location in Hawaii, but it will take at least 6 weeks and it won't be covered because it's been 3+ months since purchase.I asked about other sizing options and the saleswomen hadn't heard of what I was asking about. Beads, hinges, etc. that can be added into the ring. They were clueless. The people who work in these stores aren't jewelers, they are wannabes. They don't know anything about jewelry, only how to sell their own brand.I'm extremely disappointed. The ring that I sized at the advice of the saleswoman, the ring that I got married with, does not fit and I'm left looking to actual, professional jewelers instead of Na Hoku solving the problem themselves. I'm spending more money, more time, taking it somewhere else and at the end of the day, I just wanted a single ring that fit.Do not waste your time or money here if you are buying something that means something to you. Buy some earrings and be happy with them, but don't expect knowledgeable salespeople or a quality jeweler when you visit Na Hoku. I wish I would have gone somewhere else.
