For being a Hyatt Regency, this hotel is really battered. I would like to start off by saying, the staff was amazing, but that is it. The rooms are so worn and the bathrooms just feel icky. The grout of tile in the showers didn't look or feel clean. The bidets don't work well. The other thing is, the elevators don't have any security. Anyone from the mall or outside can go up to any level of the hotel. It should be secured with a room key tap. My mom switched rooms because the room had the worst wet dog smell. The new room's bathroom was still not up to par. The carpet was really dirty and the fridges in the room were not family friendly for mothers traveling with milk. They didn't get very cold at all.

Great hotel. Fantastic sunrise views on the west. Water pressure is 3x typical. The Tyson area is ok. Somewhat of a mixed use environment.

This was my first stay at this location. My family was attending a wizards game in DC and we wanted to stay somewhere out of the city but with close metro access. Metro was only a few minutes walk. I stated with my spouse and 2 year old and we all found things to enjoy about this hotel. My husband loved the grassfed burgers at the lobby bar, my son loved the indoor playground that was just a short walk inside the mall.I loved the size of the large suite. Furniture was very comfortable and heat worked very well. Two minor complaints would be that the shower water only stayed hot for a few minutes and I wish we had gotten down/feather pillows instead of the stiff hypoallergenic ones. But overall a lovely 2 day stay and we will look forward to returning.

We stay here at least 6-8 times a year for business and personal. We selected this hotel mostly for convenience. For example, it is convenient to be able to walk to the mall, and grab Starbucks, without leaving the premesis. However, the beds are much to firm and the lighting in all of the rooms is awful. Shadowy and low...especially in the entry next to the hallway mirrorAlso, walking from the designated parking lot is a little scary. While the parking lot itself is well lit; the bridge leading back to hotel in the evening is not. The flood light attached to the hotel building outside has been out for 2 years!Next, once you walk over the bridge you have to turn blindly around the corner toward the hotels sliding glass doors. While, it is a very short walk, there is a space to the right where people hang out to smoke. You never know if anyone is lurking in that dark space as you round the corner.Although my review is a little harsh, suffice it to say, overall my experiences have been generally good.

A wonderful hotel from the reception. The staff are friendly, especially Mr. Asrar. The room is beautiful in terms of space and the bathroom. There is a shower next to the bathroom chair. Suitable for families and Muslims. One of the advantages of the hotel is that it is connected to the mall and all services are available. There is a note on the cleaning of the rooms. Poor. There is no interest. Note on more than one room for a group. When the family returns to the room, the bed is made and the towels are replaced. I only recommend visiting the hotel.

Arrived 40 minutes after check in time at 4:40 PM with my family and went to the assigned room. It looked like housekeeping had not yet come through or did not finish their job with sheets strewn across the room and pillows tossed across the bed. When I went back to the front desk, I did not receive any apology for the mistake or time wasted and was given a new room by Asrar, the check in associate, who seemed apathetic to the situation. I was also told there was complimentary water in the room, but upon inspection the bottles are only for 'Elite Members.' This causes me to question the need or use of being a Hyatt Regency member. If this is the quality of service I can expect, I will most likely not visit this location again or attempt to utilize my membership in the future.

Adjacent to the mall. Nice clean rooms. Easy access to the highway. The onsite restaurant, while basic, was even pretty good. The one downside is the view.I would come again if traveling through.Nearby activities: Movie theater, food, easy access to DC.

Unfortunately the Hyatt wasn't serving up the highlife I have worked so hard on my own to obtain that I was born into but only shared with as a child from time to time. I walked away and got here on my own to only get delayed services and no 5 star treatment in all areas that should be just standard treatment. Room quality & service lacking, amenities lacking in packaging your paying extra for. I wasn't impressed and annoyed twice. Even my checking in was annoying and the first guest service of hospitality of Hyatt was a dork for no one is telling you that they have "extra" charges upon checking in of $50 per day of securities and incidentals. That's all fine and well but let a guest know in advance. Not a tiny sign at check-in at the front desk. I get that standard procedure and it makes sense. Just let ppl know upon the lengthy process of booking reservations not at the last minute.

Stayed here over Thanksgiving which meant we enjoyed the benefit of its proximity to the mall on Black Friday and the separate parking lot for hotel guests. The rooms were very nice and new, very spacious, showers had great pressure. Gym was small space-wise but had 2 peloton and a full weight rack, and no one was in there. Internet was free and fast. Only downsides were the bathroom door is barn door-style and can recoil back open unless closed carefully, and the motion sensor night-light were a tad too bright, but those were super minor inconveniences in an overall lovely stay.

Ok hotel. There was no running water at night due to maintenance services. I would have done more to make Customers happy. Compensation was a parking credit that they never gave. Early check-in was funny they told me they had a room available for $20 more and then had a contract to sign that read $25 per night. They ran out of parking spot Saturday night
