I would never recommend this business to anyone.I was given a estimate to repair my car of $ 1520.00 and when I picked my car up it was taken apart and I was charged $134.55 for that and nothing fixed at that point. I went to a different shop in Harrisonburg and got my car fixed for $258.55 for the entire job with a warranty for the window for as long as I own my vehicle. Total rip-off

Love going here for car repairs and inspections. They are friendly, fast, and helpful every time and not too expensive either. Very reliable overall

Riding down interstate 81 our oil pan skid plate fell off. It was making all kinds of racket, because the Toyota dealer in Roanoke had forgotten to replace the bolts to attach it. ? Thank God for Weimer‘s auto repair and for the great mechanic names Justin who removed it told us the problem and even did a video explaining it to the Toyota dealership so they would have to pay for it A+ plus. Honest. Good people

Find another shop. They’ll tell you need all sorts of things you don’t need for an inspection so they can rip you off.

Great Business. My husband and grandson were on their way to Monster Jam for his birthday and had break issues. They got them fixed up and back on the road. Thanks!

I cannot thank this shop enough for all of their help yesterday! I was traveling from SC to PA alone with my 2 kids and my transmission blew. I was JUST able to make it into their driveway when it completely stopped working. They towed me up, checked it out and gave me an assessment right away and then even had Henry come and drive me and my children to enterprise. Henry was a Godsend and went above and beyond to make sure my kids and I were taken care of and in a new vehicle before having me follow him back to the shop to collect my things. EVERYONE was so helpful and compassionate to my situation which was pretty scary to be stranded with 2 kids 5 hours from my home/husband. Thank you again for everything, and to Henry you have no idea how appreciated everything you did is! HIGHLY recommend Wymers!

My mother in law took her vehicle here because it wouldn't start. Not sure what they did, but they got it to start. They charged her $229 for a "new" battery. A few days later, it wouldn't start again so she called me. (6/18/23). When I looked under the hood, she still had the same battery I installed in September of 2022. It was obviously not new. It still had the 8/22 manufactured date sticker on it and terminals were scarred up from it being in her van for the last year. Trying to give Wymers the benefit of the doubt, we called them and they insisted they installed a new battery. Her receipt said the same. We asked them if we could bring the battery back for a refund, and they agreed. When removing the battery, I found another indicator that Wymers never even took her battery out. The battery tie-down bolt and nut, were seized and obviously haven't been undone since last September. There's no way they could have removed her battery without taking the tie down off. When I attempted to take the battery tie down out, the bolt sheered off after about 3 turns. We even matched the serial number on the battery to the receipt of when we bought the battery in September. I wouldn't trust this place with a matchbox

Asked for a tune up and oil change, almost a week later I received a call from the mechanic saying he did a tune up, oil change, replaced MAP sensor, fuel filtered, ignition wiring, windshield wiper knob, and I got a bill for over $500-$550. Driving my truck home I noticed the throttle was sticking, when I pushed the clutch in my truck would rev up higher, backfiring when switching gears, whistling sound coming from under the hood, truck literally driving way worse than when I took it there, and they kinda swept it under the rug saying they heard the whistling but didn’t know what it was, and that it didn’t backfire when they test drove it, basically telling me to drop it back off but insinuated they would charge me for fixing the issues they obviously created.. so now I’m out $500 and my truck has new issues and drives way worse than before.. I wish I would’ve never taken it to Wymers and I’ll never recommend slanting take their vehicle there either..

I had the great fortune of landing here at Wymer's last Friday when my car broke down coming up I-81. The customer service and human kindness shown to me was above measure. Henry, Chuck, and Justin were awesome and helped me in my time of need! Thank you and you know I love you all! If anyone has need of anything with your auto please you will not go wrong at Wymer's Auto Repair!

Chuck Wymer is dishonest. Do not go here! He charged me $80 to look at my van, and he told me I needed a new transmission. He told me my transmission fluid was full. He told me it wouldn’t drive out of the shop and that I would need to buy a new transmission through him or I couldn’t get my vehicle. I included a photo of his bill. This was a lie! I had it towed… it actually drove perfectly fine.. I brought it to another shop and my fluid was actually very low because my fluid lines were leaking. I had those replaced and it fixed everything. He either never checked the fluid or he did and lied about it. I now have my van and it drives perfectly. Thank goodness I brought it to another shop!

I am writing this review to warn you about Chuck Wymer and his dishonest approach to running his business. I brought in my Chrysler Town&Country because the RPM was going up to 6000 when I drove above 40mph. The car felt and sounded like it was revving in first gear. I brought it into Wymer’s immediately. He evaluated it, called me back and told me I needed to buy a new transmission through him for $5k, and that to replace some brake pads and rotors it would be $600. I asked him if he had checked the transmission fluid. He said “yes, it was full”. He told me that my break fluid was black and that I must have been driving it with my emergency break on. I decided to bring it to Bill’s Transmission Specialist in Woodstock (which Chuck Wymer insisted I must have it towed there, so I paid for that too). Amazing service there — good, honest people. There was nothing wrong with the transmission. My transmission fluid was 2 quarts low. I have recently learned of a few more people I know who were charged on their card twice by Wymer (and he never informed them) and who were lied to by him. I paid Wymer $187 for him to lie to me about my vehicle and to have it unnecessarily towed. AVOID THIS SHOP

My son's car broke down at the Pilot on Hwy 81 on a Sunday night. We had it towed to Wymers Auto a mile a way. The next morning we contacted Chuck and the diagnostics began. It ended as a bad ignition coil pack. My son picked the car back up at 2:30 that afternoon. Thank you Wymers Auto!

I would give this place no stars at all if it was possible. I took my vehicle in and left it overnight, waiting for it to be worked on. The cadillac converter was stolen from it, and Chuck, said he was not responsible for replacing/buying it, and it basically wasn't his problem, he didn't care at all. When questioned if he had insurance on the place, Chuck said "yes but he wasn't sure if it covered theft," which made NO sense, considering that it was stolen on his property. It all sounded FISHY to me. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, just beware that if you leave your car here overnight, you will be responsible if anything happens to it, stolen or not. Oh, and aside from that, also price wise, they are pricey, you can find other mechanic places in town cheaper.

Wymers failed my auto for 4 things that would have required close to $2000k in repairs. 2 failed items were simple repairs, 1 was misdiagnosed and not a failure, so how can you trust the most costly repair to a place like this? Does a power steering leak automatically require a power steering column replacement?

The guys were awesome! My wife and I use them to purchase new tires for a jeep wrangler, and also for an oil change in another vehicle, easy to work with and professional, highly recommend!
