“Pit Stop is a local store with a lot of local personality. Stays crowded and busy. The inventory is fresh and reasonable prices. Newly added new gas pumps with tv screens that play music while you fill-up. The gas is branded Union 76 and looks really nice.”
“The man who owns the store is always laughing and joking with customers. He is always friendly and polite. Sometimes it's hard to get in or out of the parking lot . So if it's really busy I don't stop. It is a good place to stop at though.”

“Very small maybe 10 parking spots, open 24 hours, no food, no hand dipped ice cream. Employees are friendly and helpful, store is clean, bathrooms...well there is only 1 employee, so he/she can only get the the messes people make as soon as possible. However,The gas station that you pass on the way in, on the corner has mexican restaurant, no truck parking then across street from that station is restaurant with another 7-10 truck spots but that restaurants hours are not posted.Mexican food was good, plentiful and reasonably priced. Store only has maybe 10 tables but you can get take out.”

“Very friendly staff. I had to let the cashier know the paper towels were out in the Women's rest room. She was very appreciative with let know this. I had to put air in my one tire with my own air compressor and I was not rushed off.”
“They have the best customer service of any gas station that I have been to. Carol (the cashier) is a truly amazing and sweet person. I was having a rough day and she went out of her way to help make my day better. I will be stopping at this station from now on when I'm in the area just to see Carol! She deserves a shout out at the very least for being an amazing and truly kind person.”

“I was traveling to Tennessee and of course I need a gas so I stop there and I also need to use the restroom. The restroom is extremely clean. This place is prepay before you pump.. cuz some of you out there are not honest. I went inside and the lady took my money and was extremely friendly at the counter.”

“I'm a big fan of gas here, service is usually great, I've become familiar with most of the employees and they do a great job reminding me of things I might have forgot, like getting gas lol. I often get distracted when inside buying miscellaneous items , soda,pizza,smokes etc etc.”

“Stopped here on Friday morning, August 23, 2024-and it was super nice. Very clean restrooms and friendly/helpful staff. Stopped again on Tuesday afternoon, August 27, 2024, and the staff working appeared confused, asking other employees, dropping items on the floor, loosing attachments from an item, and had to look up prices of items, which then appeared to be incorrect. $24.70 for cold chicken tenders??? Nice place-just be aware.”

“Friday, November, 4th 2022~9:00 p.m.I had driven from Elliston, VA on my way to Marion, VA. I've had A LOT of horrible, stressful things happen to me in the past two weeks. Due to that I have been scatter-brained as hell. I was on 1-81 when the Low Fuel indicator came on. I was dangerously low on gas and had been cruising along like nothing was wrong.I pulled into the Shell Gas Station in Rural Retreat. I parked and went to grab my money. After frantically searching for five minutes, I realized I had left all of my money at home.I tried to get every method of digital payment I had on my phone to work and no matter what I did it wouldn't work.By this time my friend was worried and drove to meet me. He gave me $30 to get gas.I went in; grabbed a gallon of oil and anti-freeze and went up to the counter. The nice young lady, Theo, helped me make a smarter purchase. I thanked her for not calling the cops on me or something because I had been sitting out in their parking lot for about an hour. She reassured me and said she was actually going to come out and make sure I was okay.She was bright, bubbly, and sweet. She even ran outside to give my keys to me because I left them on the counter.I have managed teams of people plenty of times. I know potential when I see it.Theo; if you ever read this, don't waste your life working in a dead end job. You have great potential to do whatever you put your mind to. Keep that positive attitude, never lose your compassion: and I promise you will go places! :)”
“Went here twice last Sunday and the 2 guys that was there the times i went was the most polite and helpful people i ever experienced place was very clean and the bathroom was also... on my next visit when i come through town i will be stopping again”

“Stopped here twice yesterday first in the morning then again in the afternoon and I will say the people working both times were nice. This store is efficient but definitely could use an upgrade, the floors look old and restrooms clean but smelled bad. Good gas prices! Nice little restaurant beside it. My only issue was it’s outdated and an update would make it more inviting to customers”

“We stopped at this Circle K to get some subway and feed our kids lunch while our Tesla was charging nearby. The service was outstanding. My husband thought his sandwich was the best Subway sandwich he had ever had. You can tell that the people who worked there really take pride in what they do. Bathrooms are clean and big enough to use for kids. Prices were very reasonable and had access to everything we needed. Want to reiterate that the employees there are very kind. This is a place you should stop if you are traveling and need a break.”
