The best clinic in town to take your pets to! We drove all the way from VB and it was worth every minute. The veterinarian took her time and was very patient with my dog. It was his first visit at the vet, i was nervous but everyone there put as at ease. The front desk staff was awesome too and was able to get us in within a week of calling to schedule! So happy we found our forever vet.

Great staff and location. Pets are expensive regardless of what Vet you take them too. At least here the staff is nice and the vets are great.

I’m so incredibly thankful for NANSEMOND Veterinary Clinic. They’ve cared for so many of our pets. We are so lucky to have found them. They are caring and super compassionate for all of our fur babies needs.

We have been clients of NVC for over 30 years.The doctors and staff are the very best. They go above and beyond for exceptional care. On our recent appointment Dr. Emily Clark recommended an ultrasound for Remmy. It was performed by Dr. Amanda Traub. Dr. Clark explained to us in detail what was seen on the ultrasound report per Dr.Traub and herself. Dr.Clark was compassionate, helpful, and professional. Dr.Clark laid out several care plan actions. She was very supportive and understanding.
We love Dr.Clark and staff so much.

My boss recommended this vet to me for my 11 year old Dane mix. They got me in within 1 day of calling to request an appointment because I needed a medication refill and they were so incredibly affordable compared to the vet I was going to. I got her arthritis medicine, her nails trimmed, a full exam, necessary vaccines, and a long supply of joint supplements for such an affordable price. They were also very nice and had a very warm presence with my baby girl! I will be taking my other dog there as well!

Nansmond is amazing! My puppy needed an emergency surgery and they went above and beyond to take care of our baby. My family is extremely grateful for the wonderful staff that truly cares about their patients. Thank you!

Our family has been using Nansemond Veterinary Clinic for decades. We have always been very happy with the service there, which is provided with kindness, compassion, and efficiency. They know our animals (and we’ve had so many); in this latest appt (6-29-24) for our elderly cat, when Loki exhibited her normal feisty behavior instead of the quiet demeanor she came in with, Dr Cochran said, « Ahhh, THERE’S Loki. » I cannot recommend Nansemond Veterinary Clinic highly enough.

We specifically chose Nansemond vet for our Great Dane dogs because Dr Fleck is super knowledgeable about them as a breed. Then we switched all of our dogs because the clinic is amazing. Reasonably priced and super caring. We drive over a half hour to take our pets to them. It is worth every minute.

I did not get good news about my dog, who passed away later that night, but this vet clinic made the experience there as good as possible. Blood work cost way less than expected and all of the staff was on top of things. 5/5 stars, would highly recommend
