First time customer, and it was amazing. All staff was friendly even with how busy it was. I was also impressed on how clean the salon was. Alyssa was great, greeted us quickly and got us checked in, we had arrived a little early so our wait was quite short (maybe 5 minutes) Definitely will return
Stylist: Kenneth and he’s a wizard. Best shampooing I’ve ever had, the cut was no fuss and efficient. Exactly what i asked for. I will be booking with Kenneth from now on

Dalton was absolutely amazing!! He was doing braids, had to take a break did my sons cut, finished the braids and did my other sons hair! He’s so awesome

Kenny was absolutely amazing . This was my first time here and I will be back to see him ! Not only does he hold great conversations and hilarious . But, he’s amazing at his job . He made sure I was satisfied and fixed what I didn’t like . He made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it . I would recommend him to anyone. Great experience. Thank you Kenny!!!

Melinda, at the Suffolk, VA shop is the most amazing stylist I have ever been blessed to know! She has been taking care of my hair for over 5 years and ALWAYS gives me the style I request. We have been through long locks to barely there looks and she nailed each one perfectly!

Ariel did an amazing job on my daughter's cut with layers and curtain bangs. She was patient and talked her through the process, despite my daughter’s high energy levels. Additionally, she previously did a wonderful job on my highlights. After sitting down in Ariel's chair, I explained what I desired for my highlights and what I hoped to avoid. We discussed my hair concerns and she provided thoughtful guidance that led to remarkable growth and improvement in its texture, now soft and silky. For these reasons, I won't consider going to anyone but her; she is truly a sweet girl and exceptional stylist.

Customer service is bad. Haven't had a pleasant experience at this place for a while. Cuts are have been subpar. I'd suggest going somewhere else. Won't be returning any time soon.

Got exactly what I came for and left with a better result. Michelle Prescott is definitely the best I've seen. Prior to my appointment she had a very challenging experience where a deaf child with autism was very irritable and over stimulated. Ultimately this resulted in the child's defiance over the situation.Michelle was gentle and understanding. She didn't get frustrated or impatient. It didn't take long for her to realize that this haircut was bleeding into her next appointment, my appointment. But her approach to the situation was influential and called for my patience and understanding as well.She offered to reschedule with the parents, stating that from her experience, children with autism become over stimulated and don't want to be touched or approached. There is also the challenge of his deafness because he also does not talk or use sign language. The hearing device further stimulates him and makes him more irritable. This makes cutting hair a risk because the scissors are very sharp.The parents pressed for the service and Michelle did get it done.I felt for the kid and Michelle because the situation was... messed up. I have two children with autism and it's not worth their misery to get a haircut. It's just hair. As for Michelle, running over appointment times can probably cut (pun intended) into her performance review as a worker. It also puts her into a high stress environment over hair. She had to be very precise or risk cutting herself or the child.Needless to say, Michelle apologized to me although it wasn't needed, and we got everything done.I pulled several pictures from Pintrest for my style haircut and she said "No problem" and man did she deliver. It was like she didn't just get done with something difficult prior to getting my cut started.In any case, I hope another lucrative company picks her up and pays her double. I know Hair Cuttery can't fathom professionalism of this caliber.

My husband has had to go here a couple of times when his usual place is busy. The last three times they messed his hair up. Mind you he only goes in for a simple buzz cut. First time, the guy's clippers were dull so he kept practically beating him in the head with the clippers and it ended up coming out pretty uneven. Second time, his sideburns were completely uneven. Third time today (and will be the last) the front of his hair is completely uneven. I'm not a hair stylist by any means, but its a simple cut???
