The staff was helpful, and everything was positive on the medical side of things. The due date on the billing is misleading. My bill was sent to collections the week before the due date on the notice. After a certain amount of time, their system automatically sends the bill to collections. Whatever due date they mail to you may or may not be the actual due date for the bill. Unconscionable practices on their end.

TERRIBLE! My husband came into the ED for chest pain. He had an EKG and blood work. All came back good, which was great, but his chest pain continued. They pumped him full of GI cocktails and acid reflux medications. Offered little to no help, and in fact made things worse in the end. The nursing staff really didn't seem to care much and certainly were not in any type of rush to figure his chest pain out (and mind you, they weren't busy. They were sitting at the nurses station carry on in conversation, laughing and giggling. Don't get me wrong, that's great because I know this work is stressful, I've worked in an ED before, but damn, my husband was having CHEST PAIN; I don't care how serious they thought it was, it was serious to us because it wasn't normal!!!). There didn't seem to be any type of communication between the doctor and the nurses as the doctors told my husband he would have a repeat EKG 3 hours after his first one (at 1:30am), to which, the nurse stated he knew nothing about and said he would talk to the doctor. Not sure that communication even occurred because we never received even a follow-up stating no EKG or yes an EKG would be performed. After telling the nursing staff that the protonix that was given to him made his pain worse, I got an "okay, I'll let the doctor know." Again, was that communication had?! Who knows because no doctor or nurse came in to check on him. At this point my husband had been in the ED for 5 hours with barely any feedback or anything. Half the time I think he was forgotten about and the help button either didn't work or it was ignored...every. single. time!!!! Thank goodness I was there with him or he would've never gotten any help. Every time I went to the nurses station I got little to no answers. Then, one of the nurses had the audacity to talk and laugh as I walked away after I asked what we're really waiting for, because at that point we've gotten little to no communication. Was explained that all the blood work and his EKG came back good, so as soon as the doctor is done seeing another patient she will come in and then we can go home. Go home....WITH CHEST PAIN TO WHERE MY HUSBAND CAN'T MOVE AND DIDN'T KNOW THE CAUSE OR SOURCE?! I got a bunch of heads shaking yes, since this is not an "emergent matter." Smfh!!!!! No doctor actually did come in, but two nurses came in to take my husbands IV out as we were already preparing to leave. I am so glad this is a laughing matter to the nursing staff. We would NEVER recommend this hospital to anyone wanting answers to their pain or discomfort!!!! And no....narcotic seeking was not what he was there for! We simply wanted answers to why his chest pain was occurring, and so badly.

Clean medical center taking COVID-19 procedures seriously. I never had a problem finding a (free) parking spot here. There is a very nice area with plenty of dining options surrounding the hospital, which is incredibly convenient for family members and patients. I have seen the same caring, skilled doctor a few times in a timely manner. I drive from Williamsburg because the staff is excellent.

While everyone is super friendly and polite, unsure why it takes an hour plus to get a blood draw. I'm used to diagnostic labs being available and quick vs checking in and waiting for ???

Had a fantastic experience. My nurse made me feel comfortable and she was so attentive and kind. The doctor was very nice and really listened to everything I had to say. He recommended some specialist for what I needed to have done and I would definitely recommend this facility.

I have had great experiences here. All doctors I have seen (about 3) are caring and competent.

Let me take a minute to tell you how awful my experience was at Bon Secours. The reason I arrived, was I was post op for a gallbladder surgery and in serious pain. I'm talking the worst pain of my life, and I've had two children. The staff at the front desk was lazy, she clearly didn't want to be there and really should just go home. The nurse I was assigned to was my ONLY saving grace. Thank f***- nurses are super important and we should all love them more. Anyways. I arrived in so much pain- pain that I described as a level of 10/10 each time, and expressed by sweating profusely on the ground as I screamed and sweat and sweared simultaneously. Not my proudest moment. But I have never ever in my life hurt so bad. I call the nurse and she comes in. She says the dr ordered me some meds, and I should be good soon. I get the meds, and it's a f*ing anti-inflammatory. Is this how we treat severe pain?! With an Advil? Anyways, with enough screaming I finally got moved from the back room bc they were closing that area, and got upgraded to a fancy super expensive hospital bed. I had been trapped in some weird corner room for 13 hours. It should also be noted that while I was crying, I observed my doctor snacking and texting on her phone happily. Being a real s*** dr- I'm not upset at all that my insurance is denying her claims for a ridiculous sum of money. When I was moved, the nurse had done some magic and convinced my very absent minded dr to give me the tiniest dose of morphine. Now, I realize that this is suppose to be a strong drug- but the severity of my pain was real and morphine didn't touch it! Not even a little. In fact the single Vicodin I was given did way more than this did. I begged my nurse to help me- at this time it was shift change and I was blessed with a nurse lovingly named "Tex". He was a nurse in Vietnam or something like that- so he knows pain when he sees it. He knew my pain was real and tried to advocate for me something stronger. But at that point I was to be transferred to the hospital I had surgery at, and no one wanted to give me any care. Just straight up threw me on an ambulance with zero pain relief, and it's about a 40 min ride to Virginia Beach. Anyways.. if you're still reading this. Pls avoid this place. On top of everything it's disgusting. Hair and crumbs everywhere, just straight up nasty. There's no real redeeming qualities except that the nurses do really try.

This review is actually for the pharmacy located in 8200 Meadowbridge Road, Medical Office Building IV, in Mechanicsville. This pharmacy staff has gone above and beyond for me regarding insurance snafu's and getting my medications. The head Pharmacist Amanda is so compassionate and so professional, she is truly an amazing person, not just a provider for us. She has scaled the mountain that is the insurance nightmare we are having regarding some of the prescriptions that I have. Enough cannot be said about how they advocate for their customers, and navigate the awful waters of the insurance world so that we can all get the medicine we need. I am grateful for Amanda, and all of the compassionate staff at this pharmacy for their time, and attention, to every person they help.
