Customer service here sucks I call an hour before I go to the post office to check if I can pick up a package I get told yes we will have it ready at the front for you. I get there only to be told that it has not been shorted yet and that I have to wait for it to be delivered. Fast forward a day and now my package hasn't been delievered because it's marked for pick up at the post office. What a useless bunch of people

The place was so clean and I didn’t know I needed an appointment, but thank you so much Valentina for helping me to get my passport without having any appointment. She is super kind and so sweet.

No wonder, they got one star or even less. All negative experience from services to personal workers.

I stopped in to get some stamps when there was one clerk on duty and 3 passport applicants. One was late, one was early, and the other one was on time. It was pretty chaotic with customers being ill-prepared and needing a lot of hand-holding (the late one had neither her passport application or a pen and was 30 minutes late when she arrived).Nonetheless, the clerk had a good sense of humor, was professional, empathetic, and honest. She answered one of my passport questions about their passport services and went out of her way to find a form for me, even though I told her I could come back when I was closer to renewing since she was so busy. I was impressed with how well informed she was about passport services that didn't apply to the USPS location and how respectful and calm she was under pressure. I was able to get everything done (lots of stamps and a mailing) with just a brief wait, and the clerk kept everyone content when it got even busier than when I first walked in. Good service should be appreciated, so I decided to leave positive feedback and express my gratitude for a job well done.

Customer service is horrendous! Front desk rep Armila was rude and disrespectful. Less than helpful to say the least. From the very start had a condescending attitude. Further more even called us “stupid” and had total disregard for her attitude. Stay away if possible and see if there are other locations near you.

I’ve never experienced losing mail, at the rate I have recently. I have missing credit cards, packages, and letters never delivered. There is no telling how much mail is truly lost. Not weekly, but almost daily I find neighbors mail in my box. Most the time is for a completely different building. I’ve personally carried multiple boxes that were delivered to my building, to the correct building.Yesterday usps put someone else medication in my box (which had the correct address). Today I’ve received letter for neighbors that are addressed for houses 2 streets over.I understand that there will always be human error, but this should be unacceptable. Many people are depending on their mail and finding themselves in very tough situations.

Have used this post office since I've moved to Sterling and the quality of the staff has gone down hill as has the US postal service in general. They have, on two separate occasions, made it very difficult for me to use my forever stamps. One employee accused me of having pulled them off of something else as if I reused it or it wasn't an authentic stamp. The stamps are forever stamps, marketed as being used forever. I had originally bought them in 2014. Yes, they're old. If the postal service is selling forever stamps and they sit around for 8 years and are no longer as sticky as they were, that is no excuse for postal employees to tell me they're no good and then forcibly peel them off of my envelope. They also won't let you put tape over top of the stamp to secure it. Nor will they let you trade in an unused forever stamp if it is "bad" for a one-for-one swap for a new stamp. I should (and have in the past) be able to use stamps at the post office as if they are cash or change. They are "worth" the rate of a stamp to the post office. The woman just threw over a dozen of my letters in the box. Years ago postal workers used to rubber stamp and validate each stamp, making sure to cover each stamp to prove it was used and even if the stamp fell off somewhere along the way, at least it was obvious that the stamp had been fixed to the envelope. None of my stamps were marked and now I have no faith that they will ever make it to their destination. If the stamps will fall off because of a failure of the postal service, they would rather pay double the cost to mail it all the way back to me as undeliverable than realize "hmm somehow this made it from Virginia to California but now it has no stamp, hmmm better mail it back to Virginia". Wild. No wonder they don't turn a profit anymore. The postal service has gone downhill for decades and this lack of customer care and lack of service gives me absolutely no faith that my mail will ever make it to its destination. I even asked if I could send some letters faster than the standard single stamp would take it. I was told the only way was if I spent $27 per letter. $27. Per. Letter. Absolutely unbelievable. Just another sign of the slow but steady decline of the American government and its institutions. Will be avoiding the post office completely and only using professional postal products that actually provide reasonable, timely, and reliable service like UPS or FedEx. You get what you pay for. And if I am paying $27 for a letter to make it (that is the cheapest you get for "guaranteed" mail apparently) then I will go somewhere that can actually live up to that guarantee. What a disgrace.

Thieves!! USPS was kind to hold my Amazon package for ransom all because they decided the my stoop which they’ve delivered to before wasn’t safe for delivery. Went the next day to the post office to pick up they demanded $58 to pick up. There greedy little thieves. I refused to pay so now I have to get a refund from Amazon because of the conniving United States Postal Service
