Banking at the Naval Federal Credit Union is not safe. I have been targeted with identity theft and fraud.Let me preface this topic by adding I have been a loyal client of the NFCU for over 30 years as my military family created my first account. In January 2023 I received a direct deposit into my account in the Navy Federal credit union. In February 2023 NCFU froze my account stating the deposit was being returned, by the request of the depositor(s). First of all this is illegal. Secondly the money is still in the account and I am liable for taxes on funds I cannot access due to this fraudulent activity. The NFCU is still making money on these funds in the form of interest, while the money resides in my account inaccessible to me. I am going forward with whatever litigation is available for complete restitution and resolution of this issue.Oddly the troubles began when I accessed their AI voice phone confirmation. I found out about the fraud when I went into the bank to make a deposit and my debit card no longer functioned. The training in the branch, as well as, the credit department is sorely lacking. There was no real chain of command. No reference or claim number was offered. No individual contact that was verifiable was given. I called the credit department, as instructed by the branch manager, who admitted he had no training in this area. When I called, I was told my account was frozen by an anonymous desk clerk with no training in the area of fraud and/or identity theft. To say this has caused me financial and emotional turmoil is an understatement and I believe there is a criminal element within the NFCU that was not there before. My account being frozen due to a fraudulent claim, and lack of training by the staff at this institution, is unacceptable. This has created a poor rating and reputation of the credit union regarding my particular circumstance and I would suggest all reading the rating find a more equipped banking institution with whom to trust your present and future financial decisions. As a peculiar side note, again the money remains in the account and yet my card and account are frozen. I recently received an email from NFCU that is connected to my account with them, stating I could link my debit and credit card to Amazon One!!! How am I to do that when NFCU has fraudulently frozen the account!??? What in the world is going on at the Navy Federal Credit Union?

The staff is always friendly and helpful. You can usually get in and out fairly quickly. Parking at this location can be a bit tricky somedays, because its in a strip mall.

John Yates saved my life after my husband, Marc Guilbault, passed away April 18th. He always handled all financial things and I was clueless! John patiently has helped me one on one through at least 30 separate visits to NFCU to get help on things like: Zelle set up, NFCU a app set up, multiple account issues, mortgage issues, taking husband's name off credit cards. I am so grateful for John's help; he is an angel in an extremely stressful time!!!

I would rate this branch 0 out of 5 if I could. I overheard the guy sitting at the front saying they were 4 ppl down while he just sat there and cherry picked whoever he wanted to help in the line. Totally inappropriate. Get up, get behind the counter and help bring down the line in an orderly fashion. What a joke. I just walked out. Don't go to this branch.

The worst place I have ever banked. When I opened the account I did it because I thought it would be convenient. Other than the people working there are nice, I really have nothing good to say about the place. I have been trying to get my credit card limit raised from $5,000 to $10,000 since I joined. Just requested it again recently and got refused again. Who exactly is banking at this place? Must be the kids from the high school. I don't know anyone in this area who could use a credit card with only a $5,000 limit on it. So I finally decided to close this account down, something I should have done long ago. It really troubles me that this is the credit union that is serving our service members. I hope they are not getting treated in such a shabby way. So the girl who closed the account for me tried to do me a favor by seeing if I had any rewards that could be added to my final check. And I did, in fact, quite a bit. But unfortunately, as always, I got an email about an hour or two later saying they couldn't add this money in because the girl had closed the account before she added the rewards. This is all like a bad joke. The email did not explain why they wouldn't put the rewards in but just said to call. I guess this is my punishment for giving them a bad review. Here's another bad review for you. I'm really sorry I ever opened the account at your bank. Enjoy the pictures of my cut up credit cards and your final email to me.

Went in on the 15th to discuss mortgage loan at a local branch. Discussed the options agent was friendly listened and directed me to an FHA loan. Loan was agreed on to proceed, took my entire day to find and reschedule after a different branch canceled hours before meeting was set to begin. Thought all was fine, across the next week contacted later by corporate office saying they refused to honor the offered loan type now after having damaged my credit to run the check and began trying to push higher interest options on me. Telling them no, I want you to honor the agreement we had was met with being bounced around different offices and refused to honor the agreement made. Finally today I got a call from someone claiming to be a manager. This young man also refused to honor it saying "well I didn't set it up I wasn't there" We don't do those loans, explaining to him. It was inside of a navy federal building, from a navy federal employee using a navy federal computer to access navy federal systems that I was given this offer. So you do offer it and you did. I'm just asking that it be honored and shown some measure of the loyalty that I have shown Navy federal from my nearly 30 years of membership. I was told "whatever" and he then refused let me speak to someone who can, or is willing to honor the agreement made. They will *bait and switch* you and when you request they honor the agreement they offered you. They will hang up on you after refusing to bring the problem to a higher office for answers. My credit was damaged in the beginning steps of a mortgage loan search a few points could mean a lot of money on a hundreds of thousands of dollars loan. Before hanging up he offered $50 credit and gave another "whatever" when I told him that wasn't going to solve anything and I just wanted them to own up to what they offered. Just respect the agreement that was made in their own facility and if it was a mistake fix it on their end in the system after. Disgusted.

This Navy Federal sits in a shopping center along with Outback and Target. Parking is on the side of the building and the entrance faces the street. There is an ATM outside that I normally use but the last time I need to deposit a lot of cash and coins so I went inside. The teller was pleasant and friendly and took care of my deposit. He also renewed my CD that was due to "expire" soon. The only reason this isn't my normal Navy Federal is because they don't have a drive thru and I'm lazy. Lol

Friendly and with great customer service. Never a long line to get your business done here. The manager is a great guy, easy to talk to and he listens too.
