Dealer more than met my expectations in performing service on my 2011 Mini. They provided a loaner car and kept me informed on the progress of the recall. The entire service department could not have been more efficient.

I have had my Mini Countryman for two years now and have been going to Jeff for service at Min/BMW. Jeff is a true professional. He is always on top of my service apts. Earlier this year, I suffered a flat tire and he was able to get me in and get me out with a new tire in a matter of hours. He provides the best customer service in a timely fashion with a friendly smile.

Negative review for service all around, people may enjoy buying the car, buy servicing it here is absolutely terrible. They DIDN'T FIX my car and returned it to me without doing anything!!!!
Story: So I have the Wheel & Tire Protection from MINI and I got a nail in my front and back tire, so I had two tires with a nail in them. I wanted to get it fixed and the warranty specifically states this is covered and the tire must be replaced.
Service: So I called them all morning and got tossed around with little explanation and took me about 2-3 hours to get through to someone to help me with my issue. Sterling MINI said they had the tires in and will replace them and they see my warranty on file. So I bring my car in and they rush the hell out of me to sign something and take my car.
Evaluation: They send me a video later explaining that the tires do have nails in them and air is coming out and warranty will cover that, BUT since the tires are wearing down (2.5 years old) I should change all 4 RFT tires at an upsell of $1.5K, (What?) The rear brakes are also slightly worn down and need replacement, the warranty would cover that if it is slightly more worn down, but I should replace them earlier than that for $800. Then a tire rotation for like $95 and an alignment for $220, noting my last alignment was about $180 the last year. That would be about $2.6K and I declined all the extra and said only to fix my tires.
Result: They returned my car and I noticed the same tires, so I just assumed they used "glue," then I had to call the MINI warranty and they clarified that no claim was made nor should glue be used. I thought to myself that was strange. Then I called MINI of Montgomery (Who I recommend 1000 times more) and they said it should be changes, not glued, then also mentioned it was fine to just change 2 tires "for now" and need to inspect further and was shocked to hear $1.5K for replacements RFT tires.
I then drove a bit more on the way home and noticed my MINI dashboard say my air was STILL LEAKING. I got out the car and pumped it back up and looked at the repairs, THE NAIL WAS STILL THERE AND THEY DID NOTHING! I feel so stupid to drive off assuming they did something to fix my car when I clearly said please fix my tires because there's a nail in it! I mean are you seriously so bad with service that if I don't buy extras you completely disregard my requests JEFF (Looking your way for your terrible service skills!) He got no excuse, I clearly said to fix my tire, they failed to do that.
Summary: I hear tons of people hate getting their car serviced here. I did believe them, but I can't drive to MD to fix my car, but you know what? I rather drive on my flat RFT tire and fight the danger than go back to this garbage service that I received! If you trust them great, no MINI lover should take their baby to this place for abuse and neglect...

Professional, thorough, concern for your comfort and ease of anything you need while waiting. Communication is top notch as well. This is my 5th mini and I must say the Sterling, VA dealership is the best one yet. Jeff was awesome, accommodating and caring.
